Welcome back to the lads, guys. Very special episode again today. If you are here from Evans front nine, we are playing alternate shot. Jason and I versus Evan straight up. He was two up after nine holes and we’re going to see if we can chase him down on the back n tough little format. We’re struggling with it. Yeah, but I think we can get him on the back. No, you guys were doing good at the start. It was um it was a close match. I’m the scoring update is two over and even, right? Gotcha. I’ll be nipping at you. We just got to play a little better and we’ll we’ll start we’ll make this a good match. We’ll get it. Thanks for coming on the channel. Thanks for coming on the channel, lad. Appreciate it, brother. Anytime. All right, the lad’s channel. I feel like I got to speak a little bit of my Australian lingo in this one. Um, hole number 10 here. Beautiful golf hole. Got to kind of hit driver right over the right side of these left bunkers. So, got the honor. Let’s do it right. Dude, that is sick. Came to play today, baby. No. Wow. It kind of looked like it was going to go in the in the in the bunkers, but is that fairway up there? No, that’s a little fairway there. Okay. Yeah, you’re good. Same thing. That’s what I’m going to do. Let’s give it a rip up there. You might have one less driver at home there, Jason. Yeah, it looks like it. Yep. Uh, you stay away from that tracer. He’s learned. Love it. He’s learned. Great ball. Nice little fade down the middle there. Here we go. All right. Off and running. Debut on the lad’s channel here. They’ve been killing it. Such good stuff. Yeah. What they’re doing just as a group like the vibes they have is just fantastic. Such so good for golf and like for YouTube golf. Yeah. I think the one thing I really like about Flat’s channel, uh, not to glaze them up cuz they’re all amazing, but they’re very positive. They bring elite golf and they have absolutely a great time on the golf course. And when you have all three all three of those combined, you have something really special. Um, and that’s something that YouTube golf was kind of missing is a golf group that is all elite. Like all of them can shoot 64 at any given moment, right? And when you have a world champion, former world number one at the at the front of it, uh this channel is one of my favorites. I watch every single video. Um and and Bat, he’s not here right now, but Bat is my guy. He is uh he brings the energy and he is one of the funniest ones on them. So, big shout out to the lads. Um and we’re two up right now, which is crazy. I never thought I would beat two up, but it’s a great day to be great. Great day to be great. Absolutely. Title it biggest ever comeback in YouTube history against YouTube’s greatest golfer. Is Ryan the best professional YouTuber? Oh well, not today. That’s all right. No, this is good. I like today as I’ve got to find something. You just got to make it work. That’s goal. Yeah. Just got to learn to scab it around. Learn to scab it around. Like you said on six, I was like trying to hit the fades. Clearly under like just just hit the shot. Dude, Evan is smoking that driver. That driver is Watch how far he’s hit that so far down there. It’s so far. I’ve hit a nice little fade and he’s just obliterated that thing down there. 112 for me. Um, not much wind if there’s any. It’s a little bit of help. It’s a good number for me for just a tiny bit off of 56. We’re two down to EV. So, hit one close. Put a little pressure on him. That perfect or what? Great shot. Nice, dude. Great shot. That’s good, dude. Well done. All right, Ev. Knock it in there, lad. How far do you reckon he has? 60 70 yards. 70 70 yards. It’s pretty solid. Okay, that was a pretty good drive there. Just down the left fairway. I got 62 yards in. So, I got 60 degree and I’m gonna try to just hit it just short of the pin. One hop stop and uh put it inside Brian. 70 yards down to front pin. So, it’s a little tricky, but the greens are soft, so he can definitely Let’s see if he’s uh learned anything from yesterday. Oh, no. Oh, and it’s stroke play. He’s given us a little bit of an opportunity here. Welcome to the lads, baby. Keep that club there. Yeah. Yeah. I’m just going to keep using this one. Uh I think that’s how you hit the the the big ball before the little ball, guys. Don’t don’t do that at home. That’s uh Wow. Not a good look. Not a good look. No, cuz he actually played very very good. If you haven’t if you haven’t watched part one, go to Evans, watch part one. He flushed it on the front. Flushed it on the front. We had a a few dramas, but he takes nothing away from how he played. He really played solid. Yeah. And now his second shot or third, sorry, third shot is probably harder than the second shot that he had. So, we need uh we need a big big uh third shot here for him. That may go down at one as one of the worst golf shots I’ve ever hit in my life. And now we have a harder shot here. Downhill lie. I literally just hit that 20 yards ahead of me. You just got to laugh it off. Oh my gosh. But there’s one thing about Ev is I know he’s not negative selft talk. No man. The guy is like power of positivity. He’ll be like, “Okay, that was is what it is.” Like get over there. Yeah. He’s a good person. He’s a good person to have around. Yeah, you want those people in your life. That was lovely. It’s so crazy cuz that that was so much harder and I hit Wow. Okay, we got to we got a chance to save par uh from Oh, from that disaster right there. So, I can’t even believe what I just did. Okay, first good look at birdie. Little little downhill right to left. So, try and get something going here to start the backside. Be nice to have a little two shot swing. Yeah. Yep. Oh, dang. He just had to switch it to the channel. That’s all it was. Great putt. All right, brother. Great knock this in, man. Great putt. All right, that was a heck of a birdie. I knew I I knew the heat on it now. Just a little heat. Yep. I knew the uh the birdies were going to start flying out of the lads here soon. So, that gets him to one over. So, I got to make this to uh stay in front here. Good rule. I didn’t think it was going to break that much. Good rule. Back to square. Just like that. Just like that. Just like that. It’s all back to square. All that hard work. Gone. Gone. Done. Never happened. No. But uh that was that third shot that Evan just hit then especially after hitting the shot that he hit for the second is probably one of the toughest shots that you actually have to hit because it’s like hitting when you hit a shank you come back and you have to hit the hit the next shot and that can be just as tough as the the last shot that you hit. So I mean kudos to uh Ev there hitting a phenomenal third shot there. So we still got a lot of golf to be played work Jason. Oh good wedge shot there Rob. Yeah, we that’s how we have to play alternate shot. You hit a little bunsman in the fairway. I hit a little wedge, gave you a part, you get a good look at it. Like that was a simple hole. I think we got the strategy a little bit wrong. I kind of forced you on the front side to uh go for that par five. And I know that you wanted to lay up because you’re like, let me hit an iron shot just to get a wedge. That’s right. I’m still I’m a better player than that. No, but I understand, but I put you in an uncomfortable uh position and I shouldn’t have done that. So sometimes I can excel in uncomfortable positions. It’s your uh shot here. Welcome to the lad’s channel, Evan. Yeah, I just wanted to make it interesting really. That’s what we did on on my channel. I start with a bogey and then just kind of cruised on in with a even par. But now we go back to one over. Um got to get the jitters out early. Par five here. 585. Oh yeah. Let the big dog eat here. Going deep into the forest, man. I I’m pretty embarrassed. Honestly, I’m pretty embarrassed. I’m I you know, I’m not trying to show it, but man, you just got to laugh those off cuz wow. All right, Jay with a nice putt there. It’s a match. We have square on the 11th T. Hold on. Is that perfect or what? That’s just a little right, but it’ll be on the fairway, right? That’ll be kind of Oh, yeah. Yeah. Good ball. All right. Good swing there, mate. I got driver in hand. Par five. Here we go. Just like that. Oh my. Dude, I think that drive is like set up so perfect. So perfect for you. We’ve never played together, so I don’t know your game, but I mean, if you drive it like this all the time. Yeah, I that’s what usually what happens. You drive it like You drive it like this all the time. I try. Oh, so do I. that it didn’t work out. No, I mean I feel like you haven’t missed a shot. That’s very true. I It might just be the day I woke up on the right side of the bed this morning. Yeah. Yeah. You didn’t have You didn’t have 3 hours sleep. You kind of I had uh six this time. Double double double. It’s so funny how good you hit that. It just peels, dude. It’s like, well, mind you, it’s like it’s a driver that like I built with bias left to right fade on it. I know he likes to play left to right fade. He draw he draws everything else it looks like. And he plays a fade with the driver and it’s like I think it’s just setting up so perfect for him. That’s why he’s just able to release it and get this like hard like Yeah. Yeah. It’s beautiful. Yeah. We’re going to reiterate here um the reason why they’re talking about the clubs and the sleep is because we had opportunity to come up here and film with the lads and my flight got cancelled from Atlanta and we tried to drive up here 8 hour drive. No cars available so we had to wait till the next day to come in and it’s just been a roller coaster over 24 hours. My clubs didn’t make it. They’re still in Atlanta. So, we’re playing with uh Jason’s old set. Um he just put together a bunch of like old clubs for me and I really want to say big shout out to him for allowing me to play them. And it’s just been uh I think it’s more so the the the shots that the clubs have seen over the years may have may have helped me or are helping me. Yeah, the 3-wood I think is just blessing the whole bag. It’s the one he won PJ Championship with. I think it’s just overall just blessing, dude. This is such a good drive. Like look at this T- ball. We might be able to go for this in two. 585. Looks like they’re in a little bit of a predicament over there, too. So, I got 7wood and I’m just going to lay try and lay out just left of the green. Uh it would be a good 3-wood. Um but we have this big hill here that’s like in front of us. So, I’m just going to have to kind of just play out to left. Hopefully we get a good chip up there and I’ll hole the putt again. Where’s that? At the flag in the whole line. Is it in the rough on the hill? Sure. Okay. You would have hit three, would we? Would be in the hole. I can’t get it over the hill. You could. No way. I like I mean I probably had 10 ftish over that. I would have had to hit a big cut around the corner. You know what I mean? Dude, we just talked about it. This is the club that Jason Day won the uh PJ championship with, and I have the honor of using it. I don’t know if I will strike it the same as him, but I’m going to try my absolute best. I got 260 hole, par five. I got 3wood in hand. I think it’s just going to be like a smooth one, 80% here. Oh my gosh. Is it right? Do it, lady. In the That look nice. I need so much. Oh yeah, we got the thumbs up. Oh, we got the thumbs up. Oh boy, this is kind of a match, eh? Yeah, I like this. I like this. It’s close. Like he’s We got to genuinely play. It’s not like a We’re not going to We’re not going to pirate out to win. No, we got to We got to get that up and down. Yeah. Raph, do your best, lad, please, because Ev’s going to hold that. All right, Ev’s hit a great shot. Um, shouldn’t be surprised at this point cuz he’s been doing it to us all day. So, I’ve got a 56 here. Chase it up the green like Jay said. Give Jay another good putt. He’s dangerous with the putter. So, What was that? Like 5T just about. Yeah. Five to seven. Get no reception, no love for that one. I was like, no thumbs up. Yeah, no thumbs up, nothing. Very disappointing stuff. The cold world. Yeah. I got This is a big eco putt. This would be redemption for chunking that wedge. I got this phone a little bit right little down the hill. See if we can roll one in here. [Music] Okay. Easy bird. Easy, easy, easy. These uh double eagle greens are are are tripping me up right now. It’s been it’s been pretty hard to read them. But that was a tap in birdie. Get back to even parf for the day. All right, we have a birdie opportunity that I need to haul um to stay even with Evan. So to get back from one over to even path. So big part here. Yeah, that’s I would have bet a lot of money especially seeing yours from the other side like inside you up the hill. I was like, “Oh, we got a match, boys. We uh have a match.” So, we’re back to level. Yes. Okay. Yes. Brought it back to level. Even to even. That’s great plan from y’all. Getting it back to even. Yeah. Great plan. Birdie, birdie. Hole 12. I’m going to try and end up probably just right of those bunkers. I hit a little fade off them. And we are all square. Stay inbound. Stay in bounds, please. What? That’s a lot of fairway. That’s fine. Making me nervous. That’s just the rough there. Rough. The rough there. Yeah. See these two bunkers on the left there? Yeah. If you can just like go over the left side of the right pot just there. You understand that? Yes sir. Yeah. Okay. Good. That’s where you want to go. Even if you go over that right side of that pot, that’s fine, too. Okay. You know what I mean? What I’ve learned yesterday when from our lesson is like painting the picture and like I’ve really like after I say something to the camera, I’ve really tried to do that. It’s been helping today. Well, it actually helps when you say it to the camera because then you’re like, “Okay, I’m going to go out.” Your brain understands it. I I tried to um on the wet shot, the chunked wet shot, I was like, “I’m going to um really paint the picture of like hitting here and the ball there, and it did unfortunately.” Yeah, you painted the wrong picture. The wrong picture. Yeah, you got to hit the like the small ball before the big ball. Yeah, the divot started a little early. Very early. All right, driver in hand. Par4. Let’s rip it here. Cutting straight. A that’s if that carries a pot. There’s a second pot there. If that carries that, it’s good. It carried it. It carried. Yeah. It’s like Yeah. It’s all It’s like left edge of the tree trunk here. Oh my word. Oh, it’s perfect. It’s perfect. Right where you were the other day. Yeah, it’s perfect. Okay. Okay. 148 145. But uh we want to try and hit this. I got nine on I got 145 y back into a little bit of wind. So I’m going to have to hit this pretty decently well. Um out of the rough. So try and give rough a putt would be superb. Rough. Give rough a putt. Yep. came out good there. Didn’t really come out hot or spinning. It just came out. Yeah, pretty solid. I mean, it was like kind of above my feet. So, that’s Oh, that’s pretty good. a little bit long, but um every time you watch what you feel, you think it’s the worst thing in the world and people watch it and they’re like, “Oh, it’s pretty solid. You play pretty solid.” And then you think you’ve played terrible, but it’s not really that bad. That’s why it’s important not to. And I do it all the time. You call me on it all the time. And but you do it, too. We all do it. How could you? But yeah, we we’re all emotional about our own game. So like you hit a shot and you’re like, “Oh, I’m not swinging it well. I’m not swinging it well.” to the you learn that when you caddy when I c my sister last week I was giving her advice I’m like you need to listen to this Ryan a well dude we like it everyone’s so willing to give advice out just quickly and um but I was very conscious while I was saying it I was like she would ask to like film her swing and I was like Gab you’re hitting it good why would you film your swing I’m thinking I’m like yeah yeah what did I do or she hit a shot and she’s like oh I didn’t like the way that felt and I’m like who cares how it felt you’re 15t than me. I’ll do the same thing. I did it today. I was like, “Oh, not my best.” And it’s like inside PJ Tour average. Yeah. And you’re like, “What are you talking about?” Well, that’s the point is like just go a little bit easier on yourself. Like don’t be so emotional. You got to be your own biggest fan. Well, honestly couldn’t picture a better drive. When I hit it, I thought it was actually going to be in the uh fescue grass, but it covered both of these bunkers. It’s about 320ish to here. So, the driver’s working right now. I got 120 hole. I’m going to hit like a knockdown 52. Really feel the body turn on this one and channel my inner Jason Day here. Oh no, John. Thank you. Proximity, man. Proximity. Evans proximity. We got to do some We got to get going. That was that uh no flighted one that Jason Day loves to do. He was teaching me yesterday. That one feels really good. Oh man. Really solid. Really solid. Mean you’re looking for you’re always looking for the one bounce. One bounce two bounce or one bounce stop. You know what I mean? You’re looking for the one b because if you don’t have spin control, you can’t get to pins. Yes. You know what I mean? Absolutely. If you’re ripping it like you’re landing it, ripping it back there. It’s getting further away from the pin. You either have to land it up there, but then that’s just inconsistent. How far do you land now? You can one bounce stop it. And it’s always going to be somewhere around around there. So, good stuff. Thank you. All right. Big pot. Let’s put some heat on Evan if I could roll in a 30footer here. When I roll in a 30footer. Quick change of words. [Applause] Do it lady. Huge. They are coming to play today. They are coming to play today. That was so good, Ralph. Great putt. Thanks, man. Baby, three in a row. Let’s go. All right, I’ll give you a problem. That was great, dude. He’s got poison ivy. He’s a leopard right now. So, to me, yeah. And I was practicing in the backyard the other day. Showed off. Thought I would tan. I’m too white to tan. So, my back is like It looks like a strawberry shortcake. Three in a row. Yeah, three in a row for the boys. Gets them to under par as an alternate shot. That’s pretty impressive. I got this probably about 10 ft. It’s going to slide pretty hard left to right. So, I just got to trust the read here and hit my mark. Come on. Let’s try to match him. Double eagle. Got it. Wow. That was a good pot, dude. This is crazy. I I don’t think I’ve ever been so close to the hole without it being going in. I mean, I’m missing them high, low, long, short. Um, but hey, stay even par. Now, the lads go one up to one under. So, uh, got a great match. Just got to roll some birdies in. I don’t know. I’m hitting Feel like I’m hitting my line, just not reading them right. So, got to go. We’re going to work on his start line. I think we work on his start line. He’s going to hold a lot of putts. You think you pulled that a little off his line? I think he’s just potentially aiming a little bit uh left. And then he also started a little left, too. I wasn’t put down, but his speed control is really good. So, that’s that’s like half of the problem that most people run into is is speed control, especially on putts. When you have good speed, then you can typically have a good line. But, we just need to get him starting a little bit um better line, you know, from the get- go. And I think you’ll hold a lot of Dang it, dude. That’s three putts right there. the par putt on on 10, the eagle putt on 11, and the birdie putt on 12. That’s three right there, and we could be three under. Instead, we’re freaking even par. So, I think we got to capitalize. And I got to do a better job of hitting my start line and making sure I’m rolling end over end cuz I feel like that’s why I’m missing them. I’m all around the cup, but unfortunately, that doesn’t get you where anywhere in golf. So, y got to hold it. Got to get in the hole. So, good par three here. It looks like good chance to get one back. I got eight 65. I’m looking for, you know, like low 60s on the shot right now. So, yeah, that’s where I’d like to be. Yep. Go. Yep. Thank you. Was that a little That was a little eight. So I was looking for So the way that I work it out. So what was it? 68. Yeah. So 68 with density altitude of like 2%. What’s that me that’s what 3 yards? Let’s just say 65. And then we’re looking for a couple yards of bounce and roll like we can we can say 63. And for there wasn’t a lot of wind there, but you can probably play say that there’s a little bit of wind there now. So you probably 65 is a good shot. I wouldn’t be surprised if we get up there and that might be a little bit either just shy of the pin potentially. You ever heard of density altitude? What? You ever heard of I don’t even know what density altitude is and I just said it. I I honestly did not understand saying a word you just said. I that’s just the the calculations that I get to my final number. So the biggest thing that most people don’t understand as as amateurs is they don’t have a final number, right? So they just go 165. Oh, 89. Well, what is the wind doing? How is it hot? How much is the ball bouncing? And where do you want to leave it on the green? Do you want to leave it short of the pin or do you want to leave it past the pin? And then you have a final number that that way you go, “Okay, it’s actually not 168 yards. I’m really trying to hit 160 yards.” You know what I mean? Yeah. But yeah, like I think I got it. Did you guys get it? Did you get it? I mean, I’ve been practicing with them a long time. So I haven’t got it and I’m awesome. Brucey’s very good at that. Like Brucey’s on the ball when it comes to like I cy for my sister a few weeks ago. You try to have that 162 number in your head. Is that right? Yeah, it was uh it was 163, but there was a I didn’t really put a lot of wind on there, but there might have been a little bit of wind in out of the right. And the hole was 165. 168, but I put 2% on. All right, here we go. I got nine iron. I like that flighted nine. Um it’s going to have a little bit of a draw on it. So, anything right at this pin would be perfect. [Applause] Big ball. That’s okay. That’s okay. Then you can get that up and down. Yeah. Just a little bit. Little bit of big ball. Divot started early. Yes. Yeah. We got All right. So, we got another little uh another birdie pardon us. I think so. Oh, yeah. Yeah. I’ll give you a good read there. Good read. I’ll roll it up and we’ll go to the next. Yep. I want to say that mine probably just a little bit high. Shorter pin high just because I didn’t I reckon I’ve got a 24 footer and a half. So six and six and a half paces, right? Yeah. Uh seven. No, 7 and 1/2 paces. Yeah. My math. My goodness. As a golfer, that’s disgusting. I know. We’re actually quite short. I have 34. Yeah. How much further do you hit it in tournament play? a lot farther. Five. Five usually. Well, we’ll usually like I’m like 5 to 10 under right now. So crazy. Yeah. Amazing. It That’s so crazy to think about that you actually can feel and you obviously you’re way more accustomed to it than I am. But you think 5 to 10 in in a tournament? 510 right now and then Yeah. I’ll be hitting it a little bit further um come next Thursday. It’s just purely adrenal. Yeah. Just purely adrenaline. You’ll wake up and then like you wake up you’re fine Monday through Wednesday and then you wake up Thursday and just like on on. Yeah. Yeah. All right. So, Jason and I I I’m in in the first cut here. He’s on the green. Um try to nestle one up there and hopefully lip it in. Ju just trying to hit a good chip. Lovely. Go in. Kind of ran out a lot more than I expected there. That was a good chip though. It kind of rose up the face. Had like no spin on. Yeah. kind of get like that little tumble on it. That’s all right. We’ll hold that. I think it’s like if I aim straight, it’ll break right, get outside the hole, which will then give it room to move in. Y from the right. I like that. Yeah. Hit it. He had it. He had it right in the middle. He had it. That was a good read. Oh, that was perfect. Yeah, that was a great putt, too. Thank you. Wanted to keep that birdie run going. Tap tap tap for the lads. Oh, that was in the guts. Oh, you’re a good man. You’re a good man. You’re a good man. All right. Downhill putt for the par. Little delicate one. Thought that was going to go in. Yeah. So do it. It looked good. Okay. I think I know how to uh improve your putting, but I’m not I’m not going to say anything until after the round. But I think I I I definitely know cuz I want to know when we when you hit the part of and you read the part, I want to know if you start it where you think you’re starting it. That’s the biggest thing for me for for for me for you to find out. You know what I mean? Cuz I think once you do that, then I think your cuz your speed is good. I was just saying that before. I think once you learn to know, okay, is it read? Cuz I don’t think it’s speed. Is it read or is it start line? Then you’ll be able to understand a little bit better. Like you have to go. So true what he’s saying there. You have to go in and know like I am going to hold this part cuz if you’re timid it will freaking s it like a mis putt will seek it out because you’re like I just if you can’t see it go in you won’t see it go in. It’s like negative chat like you’re you’re you’re right if you talk negative about yourself and you’re right if you talk positive about yourself. So it’s like the same thing with golf. Yeah. You know like holding a putt. I noticed that for me like I’m very confident with putter and I’ll always talk myself into it. But then I get to a spot like he’s been helping me a lot with short game and I’m not as confident. I’ll be like, “Oh, what about this lie?” Always looking. Yeah. Well, with putter, I’m just like, “Yep, hit it there.” Boom. The attitude is the attitude is big. Well, I was saying like if I made those, if you made if you made like half of what you’d be under, all right, this wouldn’t even be a competition right now. Well, you guys are you guys on the back. I say you guys are coming with the vengeance back. Hole 14. Uh we are at one under. One under par. Y uh to play Evans one over. I got three with my hand pretty straight away. Bunkers on the right. Just try and keep it just inside those. Good to go. I’m going to play the draw. Yes. Right there. Hold your head. That’s perfect. Kick right just a little bit. a little bit. Oh, kick left. Nice. I think it’ll be all right. I kind of smoked it. Yeah, you did. I think that’s fairway. It’ll be close. I’m going to try to follow that up. Um, I got the PGA Championship 3wood. Pretty much just going to go right down the middle. Just right of Ryan’s ball here. Beautiful. 11. Is that freaking wood, dude? You just hit it like this all the time. I mean, dude, we get you rolling. It’s It’s always been putting, man. Like, putting has been holding me back for a couple years. Easy, man. We’ll get you We’ll get you sorted, man. Thank you. I have to come spend some more time up here, I guess. Wouldn’t it be a bad idea? Happy to have you. I appreciate that. That would Ryan, you can come say You can come stay with me. In the barn. I I’m literally just going to be putting at the barn for about 12 hours in practice. Yes, that I’m I’m down. I guess I’m coming back to Columbus. I would say though, that’s so true, bro. What he says about attitude, I feel like I can start one, he says it takes a long time to implement, but I feel like I can start implementing it like from here on out on this on this round. Yeah. Like just believing that I’m going to hit the right putt and believing that I’m going to make it. Cuz sometimes I get over it and I’m like, uh, yeah, I think. But when I get over T- shots, I know I’m going to hit it good. So you can see the difference between T- shots and putting for me. Like I I feel it. I know I know I do. But when I’m on with putting, I’m on and I can really go low. But I’m when I’m off, I just don’t make anything. So it’s just talking yourself into the putt, you know? And it’s so cool for Jason to share that with me because he probably works so much on that and no one probably knows that. Everyone probably thinks, “Oh, he probably just is such a good putter.” Oh, he just works a lot on his speed and his he as well. That’s like he he has the best attitude of money. Like that’s non spot on about attitude of every shot. I feel like if you were if you could train someone to just be like positive about all the parts of their game, they would just improve without I don’t know what the percentage is, but a positive attitude definitely 100% helps your game regardless of how you how you’re playing that day. You know what I mean? Like if you’re angry and you’re not it’s not like being angry and negative is not going to help you out. I don’t think any clarity when you’re feeling like that. Well, and you’re emotional and you make the emotional decisions cuz even as soon as you pulled me up on six, dude, just hit the draw. And I’m in my own head like, why can’t I cut it today? Why can’t you just, dude, just hit the draw. All I was like, oh yeah, yeah, we can just do that. I’ll manage that today and I’ll I’ll fix my swing later. I was like, yeah, you just go with what go with what is working. Yeah, it’s perfectly great 3wood there. Um 116 hole. I got 56°. This looks like a pretty getable pen. So, I’m going to try to land it long left. Try to have a little bit of spin. Hopefully, something special will happen here. Did you just do that? No, I mean it was delayed, but I mean that was Did that cause that? Yeah. Look, he’s looking at you. He didn’t hear it. I feel if that was the reason, I’m sorry, Evan. Learn from it. Learn from it. Every missed, every missed shot, every bad shot is opportunity to learn. So, I uh I think I just came out of that one. Just didn’t and didn’t trust my didn’t trust my shot though. Not good when you’re going against a major champion. Not good. This is the old school way. Old school way of like right before someone hits the shot. Old school, dude. I’m 10 years younger than you. I got 105 yards. We got to hit this kind of it might catch some of this tree, but there’s not a lot of leaves there. So, I just got to kind of put a little pressure on EV to uh get this in tight so it kind of makes him think about it a little bit more. So, yeah. 105 y° sit. That came off pretty hot. Yeah. Was it flyer a little bit? Didn’t I didn’t see the flight. It got above the cart, but yeah. I mean, unacceptable. Got to be accountable here. Got to hit a better wedge shot. Can’t be missing. Uh I think it’s Tiger’s five sins. Can’t miss a green with a wedge. Up and down. Need it right here. Big up and down. Oh, that’s awesome. Lovely. Great shot. Great shot, Ed. Thank you. Well done, bud. That’s great. Had to focus on that one. Put us ours in trouble and had to get out of it right there. Back into the grain, too. Yeah, it was into the grain. That was a lot of uh practice at Hazeline when I played the USM. I was just I was in that stuff a lot, so I had to get used to it. Well, it’s worked. That was a great shot. Good save, mate. Thank you. Thank you. All right, stay at one over. This is a This would This would kind of put the dagger in the chest a little bit. [Applause] Right. Them boys are on a tear. Four under through five holes. Oh boy. Got the puddle working, baby. Don’t let him get hot. Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. Have the tides have turned. Oh, that putt looked attractive. Ryan, that was such a good putt. Such a good putt. All right. That was hot. That was really hot, Ryan. Come on, baby. What are we? Three up. Uh, yes. One over to two under. Probably signature hole here. Signature hole. Very tough. I mean, it’s 500 something yards, I guess. We got to uh play it out to the right. Um, try and get a fairway found. Fairway found. Hitting approach and rolling another park. Perfect. Fine. Yeah. I don’t know the hole as well as you do, but yeah. Great shot. Right side. Keep it away from that left. Thanks, brother. You have a perfect little fade here. So it’s like 280 to cover that. Yeah, I I washed out and went right at that because I just we’re in a good position here. But that see that third one, two, three, the read 280 to cover that. Anything right of that is fine, too. Okay, great. Thank you, Caddy. Caddyy G. If you go at that far bunker, pretty money. Yeah, it is. But he can just bleed it off that bit. I mean, he can go he can go 10 15 yards left of those reads and still be fine. about like at those rage blading a little bit. Right. Perfect. All right. Well, we’re going to try to do exactly that. I got driver in hand. Try to go back to that baby cut here. Oh, in that bunker. Bunker. I think it’s bunker. Yeah. I got scared of the water, wimp. I got a little too scared of that water. Came up and out of that drive and found this this right bunker, but it’s all right. It looks like a good lie. Uh 220 hole here. So, I got five iron in hand. Trying to hit a nice smooth knockdown. And uh really got to get something going here. Go ball. Go. bunker. No, you flew that. I believe it’s in the bunker. The the right side. Yeah, I think it’s in green side bunker. From beach to beach, baby. Uh I have 208 and I’ve got six iron on my hand. A little bit left right wind. I’m just going to commit to the draw now. I’m not going to try and play the fade. So, I’m going to start at the pin, draw it towards the middle of the green. Oh no. It’s all good, bro. Sit. Yeah. Yeah. We’re good. We good. We got plenty of room there, bro. Plenty of room. Not going to say anything. We just move on. Um, nice side to be on. Obviously, the right side is a no-go zone. So, we just got to get this uh rolling up the hill. Give Ruff a good putt. If not, try and hold it. That’ be nice. Go. Keep rolling. Not bad. Just going to roll out a little bit more back into that granny grainy line. Yeah. All right. If there’s any moment I need a good bunker shot, it’s right here. Got about 10 yards. I’m going down the hill. Go. Oh, try it. I had a little bit of speed on it though, unfortunately. Pretty good shot. I thought I was going to check a little bit more, but it’s really soft in here. Pushed it. All right. Wait, I’ll put that. Yeah, I pushed it. That’s okay. I know. I just wanted to hold it. Yeah, I know. I I knew that if you got it outside got it outside the hole, it was going to go left, left, right. As soon as I pushed it, I knew it was Yeah. Gotcha. There you go. It’s all right. I think um I’m going to take Jason’s advice on the T- box and and believe that I’m going to make this believe I’m going to have a good stroke and yeah, just see it go in here. It’s big putt. You know what? I’m I’m okay with that cuz I felt like I hit it exactly where I wanted to. I played it just outside left and it went right there. So, woo, these greens got me in a blender here. They stay three up going into the last three holes, I believe. Just wanted to give a quick shout out to Double Eagle. um Cole Thomas, Todd Boss, uh but especially um uh Johnny Mack, you know, Johnny Mack owns the golf course. So, very much appreciated uh you guys letting us come out and and showcase Double Eagle Club and and how wonderful it is. It’s been a great match so far. So, hopefully you guys stay to the end and uh see what see what happens. I uh have 170 what I say 6 yards. Um we’re going to play short a little bit shorter. Little bit short. So, I’m going to try and be more like 173ish um in between those bunkers. Score update. One under plays two over. Yep. Cool. With three holes left. Three holes left. Left is where we wanted to go. Solid. Okay. Shot there, bud. Good shot. Well done, mate. Hey, that’s the best one I did today. I was about to say that was a That’s okay. Hey, that here you go. You guys want to want want to put on a little teach tape? That’s how you strike a golf ball right there. Ball then ground. I have to take some mental notes cuz I’ve been doing the opposite today, which is unfortunate. I’m going to steal uh Ryan’s tea. I got eight. Feel like I’m hit. Yeah. I don’t know if it’s the right club though. I just hit eight. Well, it’s a guessing game for me still. Just trying to go off what? Dude, that was so nice. Go in the hole, bro. Great shot, dude. Great shot. Well done, mate. Not really sure, bro. I thought it was all short. No, that’s like if you were trying to play a tournament, that’s exactly where you hit it. All right, thank you. Got to make I feel like I’m not It’s time to make a putt. I feel like I’m not playing too bad though. That’s the thing. No, no, it’s just putting. I think I think this is a good example in this match of like somebody’s making putts and someone’s not and then the score defensive just starts to throw cuz they’re just hammering putts. You’re not. That’s it. I’m going to have to uh rely on a make and a miss here. Make from the American, miss from the Australian. But guess who I’m going against here? Yeah. One of the best putters. Yeah. It’s not looking too good, huh? We made a tough forever. I knew it was coming. We may. Unfortunately, I’ve been on the receiving end of that a few times, but it’s good to be on this side of it. Really good to be on this side of it. All right, here we go. Channel adjust. Yes, baby. Let’s go. Yes. God dog it, man. You got one. I got one, bro. But the unfortunate part about it is you guys have one good half, man. Good little charity handout right there. The only uh about this whole match is stroke play. Yeah, it’s stroke play. Yeah, which is the greatest part about it. But and we got a driveable par four coming up. Drivable par four, par five. Yep. Wow. That feels good. That that is the greatest feeling in golf is the whole putts. Would you say that, Jason? Is the whole putts. Yeah, man. You feel like you can do you can make a lot of mistakes. You can make so many mistakes and you’ll always hold a If you can hold parts, doesn’t matter how bad you’re playing, you can always uh salvage around. That was a deuce. I believed in myself on that one. Yeah, I just need to slap you more. Yeah, just start slapping. Do it, lady. Do it, lady. Probably four. Is that what she said? So, now I’m going against Ryan on this t-shirt. That’s good. We knew that was coming. We knew. Oh, look at Oh, but we really want to hit it. Great birdie by Evan. Unfortunately, great birdie by us. Um, we have a driveable par4 here, the 17th, and it’s about 275 front, you said? Yeah, 275. 275 front. Pins way up the back though, 315. Um, I got three wood. Just going to try and hit it on that front side. Jay’s pretty good from 200 ft, so he should hold up. Um, we’ll go from there. Get left. Oh, that is the longest shot. That’s exactly what we need. Oh my goodness. I need some practice. It’s all good, bro. You haven’t hit any balls, man. All right. Now, now the door is open. You know what I did there? You walked through the door. I’m going to show you a little bit of special sauce here. You ready for the special sauce? For sure. So, I’m going to tee this ball up low cuz it’s like 300 flag. All I’m trying to do is hit this like 290 with a little bit of a cut. So, if I can hit this left side of the green low T- shot, 300 carry, you never know. You never freaking know. Oh, that’s so good. That’s fine. That is That is fine. Oh, thumbs up. You got a thumbs up. So good. Thumbs up. How close is it? Like, is it close? I don’t know. I think it’s probably just short of the green. But that’s the low tea, though. I I try to hit that low like rising cut and it just always stays in play. So y’all at home, you guys obviously watch Jason, but implement the low TE. It always helps when you need something on the uh on the fairway or in this case the green. I don’t know why Ryan would hit 3-wood. He blessed us with the 3wood. Yeah, honestly. Honestly, I think his driver’s been great. He’s only hit like maybe one or two of them, but green. I think I’m just shortly green. So, I’ll have a chip shot. And Jason obviously we know the player he is, but this is going to be an exceptionally hard shot. He’s got a lot of room to work with though, but this is a really long, it’s like the Ryson US Open shot kind of 50 yard bunker shot. So, we’ll see what uh Jason’s bunker game is looking like. Ev hit a great drive there, man. He’s been He’s been driving. He’s been Yeah, he’s been piecing that uh driver together really, really well. So, that’s a packet chip. Oh, yeah. Packet of chips. Got it. Where is it? It was over right up the fairway. Oh, there it is. Right there. Okay, perfect. Well, that gives me an opportunity to get on the green. Oh, you definitely I think you hit one close. 74. 74. Oh, left me such an awkward 60. This is such a brutal little shot that I’ve given him. See, if I hood a 60, it’ll it can get there, but if I hit like a n iron, it’s not going to get there just because it’ll spin away. So, I’m going to Good. It It’s fine. I’m just going to I’m just going to back foot a little bit and just just try and hood one down there and hook one in there. It’s my fault putting you there. That’s Yeah, that’s one that that’s a penalty. I don’t know if it went in the stuff. No, it did. It did. That’s cool. 74 yards is hard to hit. It’s just a brutal spot. So, what do you I mean, I think I can get it like on the middle like like just give it a hit and get it like back to the middle. Wow, Ryan. Great shot. Well done. That’s a great shot. All right. Hey, you got it. All right. Here we go. Drive landed literally right on this fringe. Two yards. One, two. See you. So, this is uh held on by a thread, but we got a putt at eagle right here. here. Push it right off the And then just Oh my gosh. Thought you had it. That’s incredible. That’s incredible. That would have made a sick in for a four. Good shot. Except the That’s all it takes. That’s all it takes. I can’t I can’t give up the hole on this birdie putt. No, this is a big birdie putt. Made it harder on myself than I need to be. Done it again. Oh no. tried to let you in, bro. That tried. I was like, “Let me hit a tap.” It’s just not my day, really. Like all all around the the hole and just not in it. And unfortunately, golf has got to get it in there. The the putter’s been ice cold. But we got one back. We got one back. So, we had two shot lead on the on the first nine and they’ve called four shots back and now they’re two up. So, pretty much need a miracle to happen, but who’s to say that can’t? Basically, the miracle was supposed to happen on the last hole and so either left or right of that that pot. Right’s better than left. Okay. You okay? You got about 305 over the top of it, too. So, if you get on one, you might. All right. 18 par five here, right? 580. All right, here we go. Driver in hand. That will catch some. Yeah, it’s holding. Yep. Yep. It’s all right. I like how it’s like right fairway. Yeah, it is right fairway. It’ll catch some. That’s good. That’s That’s getable now. Well done. Trying to give it too much gas. I wish I I wish I had that still. baby when it comes to speed now. Yeah, perfect. Great ball. So good. All righty. That is beautiful. That is perfect. Yep. Pretty dang good. Blue shot. It’s pretty dang good, man. Got to do something great here. Good match been fun. Good match been fun. We got a two- shot lead going down the last. We made a mistake on 17, but Evan also unfortunately made a mistake by three putting. He had a great drive. I gave him myself a P. I’m like, here you go, bro. He didn’t do it. I I helped get you in a bad spot. That’s a birdie hole. Yeah, but it’s okay. I mean, just let let me take the blame. Okay. Thank you. You know what? It’s all your fault. Thank you. Feels better. I can bate myself. Good driver. Yeah. Yeah, we’ll take the drivers. where we’re in a very getable place. But if we can shoot two under, that’s a good alternate shot. Good alternate shot. Yeah. Okay. Why I play with people like Jason and Ryan is because I can watch their game and just learn and pick their brain and get better. That’s the only reason why I’m out here is to get better and make some awesome content. So, hope you guys are enjoying this video on the lad’s channel. Uh this has been uh really really fun and I’m really thankful to have these two fine gentlemen hosting us out here and big shout out to Double Eagle as well. Um this has been this has been awesome. Yeah. Like and subscribe their channel. Yep. Subscribe. We want to get to 100K first. I haven’t come in golf 100K. 100K then also would like the last 100k. Maybe just like one follow after you can be um five paces back of it and then whatever you need to land it, you be Yeah. So I feel like if it’s 230, I want it to end up 225 probably. That 225 I need to land like 218. Yeah. And then there’s and a little bit of wind. So it’s probably closer to 210. Yeah. Anywhere between 210 and 215. I would just let’s let’s split the even say 212 and a half. Y uh just 212. 12 and a half is good. Just nice solid one. You can be uh just right of it. I mean, just straight at it is fine, man. Like, that’s totally fine. Hit your nice little draw in there. Try and hit this similar shot to what I hit on uh 16. Yes, sir. We need a um water ball or a bunker or a fly the green. We need something. I like it. I wish you was hitting 3wood again. Yeah, it’s been his faulty club. Yeah, it’s three woods been off, but long iron here. Freaking pure. Dang it. Oh my god. Don’t get my clothes. Golly, dude. That’s nice. And the door right there. You can get a lot of the wind. E shot there, dude. Yeah, we just That’ll keep me coming back tomorrow, you know. Heck. Whoever um gets to 100,000 subscribers first between us and my channel. Yeah, Jason, you have to do a linebacker celebration in a big either a major or a signature event when you make a big putt. If you make a big putt and you just have in the back of your mind, it’s it’s like you like that action. Yes. Yeah. And that’s all you have to do. It’s just a knee up like that. I got you. And then if I if you guys get to 100 subk subscribers first, I have to wear a ridiculously looking Melbourne outfit in one of my big tournaments or cool. Heck yeah. We’ll get what I wore yesterday. We’ll get you all sorted like what I wore yesterday. Yeah, but like even even crazier than that. Yeah. Now we’ll get we’ll get you sorted. Like the American flag pants, all that. Oh man, you you’d rock those. Yeah, with those thighs of yours. But yeah, that’s the bet. That’s good. Okay, I’m happy with that, bro. That’s good, man. I like it. 100K. That’s got to be Matt. Matt, please subscribe to us. So, I want to see him wear something just outrageous. If you follow Evan Thompson, go over there, unsubscribe and then we’ll take your subscribers. Yeah. No, it’s all love. No, it’s all love. Subscribe to Come on. Absolutely. Yeah. I like a foreign right at this flag. Still don’t know where the ball’s going with these Jason Day hand-me-down set, but if we need a shot, it’s right here. fade. Oh, it didn’t fade. Stay right there, baby. That’s okay. Yeah, it’s safe. That’s fine. Yeah, I was trying to hit that knockdown fade. It just pulled it. But try to end with a birdie. Get back to even be a pretty solid day with uh with these clubs, I must say. 100,000 subs. First 100,000 subs. I want that I want that clock. What? What? What is it? Just you get 100,000 subs, you get a pluck. At a million, you get a buck. And at 10 million, you get another one. And at 100 million, you get another one. Do you get one at 100 million? What is it? Don’t know. But it better be nice for 100 million. Is there anyone that has 100 million? Yeah, a lot of people got a lot. Okay. Not a lot. Okay. Maybe you’re acting like it’s like to do. Yeah. Maybe 15 20 people. That’s quite a lot. Yeah. What do they do? It’s more lifestyle. Like to get that many subscribers, you can’t be in a niche. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Like cuz you need that many people. Like we’re expanding, guys. Yeah. We’re moving into fashion and beauty, health and fitness. Yeah. You got a makeup line coming out. Yeah. Exactly. All right. Well, you know, I don’t really want to wear a insanely looking Malvin outfit. That would be pretty embarrassing. But at the end of the day, I want to see the lad succeed. I want to see Jason and Ryan win. So, it’s going to be a close race. I think I’m 10,000 ahead. So, but we got some bangers coming out here in the next couple weeks. So, it’s going to be tough. But also, they have Jason Day as the head of the channel. So, I think any video they put out is going to get subscribers, unfortunately. Yeah. The more they see people see the lads, the more people subscribe. Such good stuff. All right. This would be good for the morale. Get up and down to shoot even for the day. Um, I will every single day of the week take that. Especially playing with Mr. Day’s clubs. I I mean, I’ve just had an absolute blast. Playing on the lads channel has been a has been a ball. So, I think I’m going to come on here more. I got a little up and down for the birdie. The chances of winning are very slim. All right, brother. All righty. That feel right to left. Straighten out. Probably ducking back left to right at the end. So, try and hold it. Oh, go Jason. That was That had a good chance going in, too. It was right in the guts, wasn’t it? Yeah, it was right in the guts. Oh, so it’s so straight. It’s so It was so in and I just didn’t hit it. Back to my old front N self with not hitting the putts hard enough. Good little birdie putt here. It’s going to work a little left to right. Um just to get to even part for the day would be pretty cool. If not, it’s all good. Here we go. Good job, dude. I’ll make the last one. I’ll make the last one. You know what? Who will finish? 72 without saying this golf course is really well done and without your clubs. And without your clubs here too, you might be taking those clubs. Yes, I will be. I will be taking Jason’s clubs. Good birdie. Good birdie, sir. That is a good job. Well done. Six birdies on the back. Enjoyed it, bro. Enjoyed it. Pleasure. Thank you, mate. I appreciate it, man. Thank you very much for coming. Thanks, brother. Appreciate it. Well, lads, the game or the match finished. We We won by two. Two under. We two under. Ev played marvelous. 72. Didn’t have his clubs. Fantastic. Well played, big fell. Thank you to Double Eagle, Carl Thomas, Todd Boss, especially Johnny Mack, who owns this course for letting us come out and showcase this wonderful golf course. Uh, if you haven’t seen part one, go over to EB’s channel. Uh, watch part one and don’t forget to like and subscribe. Peace. You’re getting good at this, man. Yeah.
