After getting beaten up for a week in western Ireland its going to be a difficult to transition back to a style of golf where there isn't a 3-4 club wind and bumping a 5 iron from 100 yards into a punchbowl green isn't an option. We played 27 at Carne Golf Links, Enniscrone Golf Club, County Sligo Golf Club, and Strandhill Golf Club. All were incredibly well designed and diverse in the shots and strategy required. I can't recommend a trip to the west/north coast enough.

What strikes me about your photos is the holes seem so natural within the landscape. It doesn’t look manufactured or gimmicky. Beautiful!
These photos are gorgeous!
That’s awesome. I played Ballyliffin last week in the very north of Ireland. It’s hard to explain how cool links golf is
Every picture looks like a painting. Unbelievably beautiful
I’m so glad you guys played Carne! Such a great links.
That par 3 at Carne with the hill behind 🤌🏼purity
Incredible how was the trip? I’m planning a month long trip to Ireland for golf and wanted to know if there’s anything I need to know other than book ahead?
Gorgeous, reminds me of this golf screensaver we used to have way back in the day on the old family computer when I was a kid with photos from golf courses in Ireland
Played in Connemara in western Ireland and it was just gorgeous. Hit my first five tee shots slightly off the fairway. Never saw those balls again. No matter, had a fantastic time.

10/10 would white knuckle 2 hours on the other side of the road to do it again anytime.
Damn, I so want to go and play there. Gotta sell it to the wife…
Did any of the courses require a USGA/GHIN handicap?
Played all the fancy ones around Kerry with my Dad. Then north to Sligo area. Enniscrone was a highlight of our trip! Think Waterville x2. County Sligo was fun too.
A life ling dream to go over there and play.
Absolutely stunning
I played all those on my golf trip too! Did you go through fairways and fun days tour group?
So jealous 😫
Links golf period is unbelievable. Easily my favorite golf to play
I was offered lifetime membership at Carne for $5000. I miss it there
Thank you for posting these pictures. A Ireland Northern Ireland golf trip is my bucket list retirement vacation.
Can confirm Ireland golf is different.
Played Enniscrone and shot 100, changed absolutely nothing and shot 76 from the tips at strandhill 2 days later.
Golf is so stupid and I hate it and I can’t wait to play this Sunday at 7:36 I’ll be there bright and early.
Playing Carne in two weeks. Can’t wait.
Yea I’d be so fucked at this place. Would I pay hundreds of dollars to play it and lose twenty balls? Also yeah.

Nothing beats it!!
This is the old course at Lahinch, I went a few years ago and need to get back!
I’ve played some “links style” course in the US, but nothing like these pictures.
How do you even know where to aim?
Spent a week in Ireland in July with my wife for our 25th. No golf but we passed a bunch of courses as we made our way around and I can’t wait to go back to play.
That looks freaking amazing. I really do need to visit my brother out in Roscommon again, and bring my clubs this time.
The green on pic 10 looks tiny
Irish links seems hillier and more narrow.
I knew that was strand hill. Played by myself. Those bounces were wild

Lahinch castle course from last month! Was a new experience for sure.
awesome awesome photos. you really did carne justice as it’s a gorgeous track, but in shaky condition, i actually found it really endearing and natural, but many would gripe about the patchiness.
i agree, it’s a different game there, but it’s really really rewarding.
Lovely pictures that represent the beauty for links courses. For me links golf is true golf.
