LIV golf star Matthew Wolf is set to return to competition this week in the UK after a painful back injury forced him out for over a month. The 26-year-old Range Goats GC player had to withdraw just eight holes into Eliv Golf, Virginia in June. Later missing events in Dallas and Unlutzia at an Orai revealed Wolf had suffered an annular tear and a deep strain in the multipetus muscle along with signs of disc degeneration. The injury, he says, was a serious wakeup call that has shifted his perspective on long-term health and fitness. “This has made me realize I need to take better care of my body,” Wol told LIV Golf ahead of his return at the JCB Golf and Country Club. “There’s a lot of twisting in golf, and with how hard I go after the ball, it’s easy for things to flare up. He said that Wol’s most recent finish was an impressive solo sixth place at LIV Golf Korea, and he’s looking to rediscover that form, not just for himself, but also for his team. It was tough watching Liv Golf Andeluchia on TV. Wolf admitted, “It’s not really our course, but it still hurt not being able to help the team. I love being out here competing and just enjoying the camaraderie with the Range Goats. I definitely don’t take these moments for granted. The Range Goats GC currently sit eighth out of 13 teams in the standings with just four events remaining in the season. Wol’s return could prove vital if the team hopes to climb the leaderboard and finish the year on a
