The original promises included something in the order of 1,200 jobs. There’s now currently something like 80 people employed on the estate, which is down from 105 that were employed here before Trump appeared on the scene. That’s not to mention the hotel, the housing, the sports facilities, etc. that aren’t here and probably never will be.
Donald Trump has boarded Air Force One and is en route to Scotland.
The visit is officially private, rather than presidential, but Trump is expected to meet with Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer and First Minister John Swinney while he’s in Scotland.
Air Force One – the presidential aeroplane – will be in the air for approximately seven hours before touching down at Prestwick Airport on Friday evening.
