The Estonians are very proud to represent their first ever PDGA major in disc golf at the European Disc Golf Festival 2025. Welcome to Estonia. Welcome to Talin Song Festival Crowns. And now to the 18th. Taylor in the air. Hisering tombstones the bullseye. Paul McBth putting for birdie on hall one just outside the circle and he gets it. This is the putt that needs to stay with this man all weekend. It feels like anytime he’s in contention it’s when these putts are dropping. Nice start. Paul McBth T of two. This is a new hole. It’s a par 3 85 m. Okay, back to Isaac Robinson. He’s potting for birdie. What a stick on the strong side. Sure, Isaac. And the major has officially started for everyone. Paul McBth parked on hall three. This a tricky backhand. OB pretty tight on the left side. Back stop on the right. Love the play to go on that right side. Oh, great shot. Throwing something without a lot of fade. That works right now. Just a tiny bit of tailwind over the left shoulder as as they approach on the first. Nicholas Antila finds the bullseye. CTP from the fairway. Ricky Wisaki going low. Also parks the hole. I’ve already done that too many times. Greg Barsby once again on hole 14. There’s the wind. Found its way to this section of the course. That’s a world champion putt. Beautiful jump putt there for Barsby. You see just from the follow through how committed he is right now to his shots. There’s a diagonal OB following all the way down the fairway. So AB’s getting really aggressive on this. This is unbelievable. Wow. Vilman, long putt for birdie. There he goes. Paul McBth back on seventh. Going for the island. Settled down. And it does. Four meters away for birdie. Are not going to have a chance really to get up and down. Ricky Weisaki on five. Oh my goodness. Richard Wisaki. Are you kidding me? Now he went to the spinner. I love this. He was trying to land this just softly into the chains. Now Paul McBth for a long birdie on eight. Flashing the rings. Major season is mine. He says this is to match. Sure. Sure. He’s there. Is not only very legal but very very efficient. Back on Ricky TF6. That is fine. And they are both going to have chip shots here. Rick to stay perfect through six. Here he is here. Little flat to finish forehand and Heiser’s just in front. That’ll be just outside the bullseye for six in a row. Too well from that distance. Still work left. Tom had some putting struggles earlier today. A couple of those early holes. Robinson finds the bullseye edge under the pin now. Mari nine. He’s got the wide open window. A little bit of tailwind left shoulder. Love the pace here. Love the heiser. That’s over the wall. He stuck it. Rick’s going to be seven for seven, guys. What a start. Nicholas Antila. sticks the bullseye on seventh. Marilman for birdie. Oh, I love that putt. Swings it outside. So much spin on it. It just smoothly fades back into the pin. Only three holes averaging over par on this course. This is one of them. Weak going for the bogey. Yes sir. Richard Waki in the bucket saves the single bogey. Robinson throwing two on 11th goes higher and slower disc drops down. Gets the glide. We’ll see if the snowball effect happens here for Paul after that double bogey on the previous hole. Wheelman for par now. Come on. What? And he almost won the Crocco Open last week. This man’s coming into form and now he’s playing in front of the home crowd. Gorgeous. I love this straddle stepper with the spin putt. He is on fire. Unbelievable stuff from the Estonian. Nicholas Antila T of nine par three 125 m for the MO going over the out of bounds. and Nicholas Antila. That is money. It’s not one you want to challenge Burr TF9. Yep. Cooler than it did this morning. And the pace is just unprecedented. That was an hour and 22 minutes. Nicholas going forehand here. Left side. Oh, there it is. Look who it is. Isaac Robinson. Four straight birdies to start the course and the round today. And four straight birdies from 9 to 12. Back to Lancquiz 15. He’s 10 down with three holes left. Sorry, four holes left. Second shot in the air. On needs to settle down. It does. Has a putt from C1. Lungquist to pull within one of the lead on 15. Cash pot. Isaac Robinson on your screen. This is a high pushing shot on this par three. All right. Hits the bullseye four. Just like that. Anthony Barella higher on 13. 150 me shot. Yep. Oh, that is a thing of beauty. Bullseye heat for Ganonber. Nicholas Antila now potting for birdie on hole 11. And this is this must be the closest point we get to the ocean. Yeah, this is far into the property. No, 11 m. Yes. until a first C2 make for this tournament. Nicholas has about a a one meter box in front of him to hit with that ceiling. Going backhand here. Oh, and just in front of the oak. It’s a little too nose up. A little too much hiser. It’s peeling left, but he’s still going to be near the edge of the circle. Pretty high level shot there considering the out of position. Now, Longquist on 18, 145 m downhill towards the T number one and the singing arch, tombstoning the the bull side. Take a look at this shot that AB has to pull off. Wideheiser skips bullse edge 8 m not a problem at all because of how pinched he was Robinson. Yep, there they are. Anthony Barela achieving it from the last hole. And here’s AB TF16 makes a flex play. seems to pay off inside the circle. Man, that is his calling card. Just popping the nose up on the overstable driver, slowing down. Robinson. Now, that is the play I I anticipated to see more from our players so far. Only thing is the gap gets smaller when you throw higher. So, that that flex play actually works well. McBth also a beautiful shot. Absolutely gorgeous bullseye hit. Tap in. God, how does he make it look so easy? That’s one of the prettiest things in this game. Park job. The flex shot. The full full flight is the prettiest flight in this golf world. But I will say Heiser flip to straight is one of my favorites. And this guy is one of the greatest to make them. It’s just mentally it feels like he still has all this time in the world. McBTH masterful just a highlight reel currently from 17. Nicholas Antila now throwing his second on 14. takes it wide. Needs to come back. He does. Isaac Robinson has now chance to take the solo lead with 13 down through 17. Oh my gosh. Like a machine. His first time competing in Talin. What a dis golf festival we have here. Anthony Barela T of 18 currently 12 down. Let’s see how left this gets just fine inside the circle. He’s putting for birdie to become the co-leader. Anthony Barela sinks the pot. Two 13 round 13 down rounds from one card. That is the second feature card from today. Anthony Barela, Isaac Robinson. What a day for those guys. Richard Wisaki on 15 hits a tree but stays in bounds. Circles edge. Nicholas Antila. Another long putt just outside the circle for Birdie. in the chains. Strong side stick from 11 meters. Wisaki gets his putter going. Gets the birdie. Goes nine down through 15 as Nicholas Antila is on the T of 16. There’s that mini flex from Antela. Beautiful. Big ones. Isak is ready. Thank you very much. Yes. It’s interesting to hear that from Isaac. But now him telling me it feels like he’s had a ton of time to prepare makes so much more sense. With a birdie here, he could go nine down for the day. Yeah, it’s the bullseye. That’s a tap in birdie for Ganonber. You can’t really overstate that. Um, Estonia is definitely kind of pushing our entire game forward here, Ricky from 14 m. What a monster on the putting green today. Absolutely undeniable. And that is it. All the MO players have played their opening round in the first ever PDGA major located in Talin, Estonia. The pace currently set by two players is 13 under par. We got multiple guys, four players sitting at 12 under. Is that going to be necessary to win this tournament over four rounds? winning this tournament is going to come from somebody who’s really comfortable on this track and shows up every single day and doesn’t lose that focus whatsoever. So, uh, come out, earn it, keep the focus, and I, yeah, we’ll see what happens. But I think one player, my one guess, is going to beat 13. We’re going to see that 14, 15, 16 under par note sometime this weekend. [Music] Hello there. I hope you enjoyed that last video you just saw. What a beautiful course. Hopefully, I'll get blessed with the opportunity to visit one day.
Now this is a Major. Much more deserving of the title than many previous events.
Appreciate the look at the full leaderboard at the end!
looks like Mcbeth is about to disco when he throws that forehand
Ridiculous course. Disc golf should just get it over with and start using a clowns mouth for the target instead of a basket.
3:47 looked like Anthony's foot was down before the disc came out?
Ridiculous reading some of the negative comments. Bar none the best tournament to spectate and a fun attackable course. A very welcome variety to have in the mix.
Some people are just plain miserable.
DG thrives on YouTube! Stop the pay wall. You can make money off YouTube ads and all the ads you play on dgn. Stop gatekeeping disc golf
Im friends with mauri villmanns nephew
Given the fact this is held in Capital City, pretty much in prime spot of it. To even have a pop-up course in a such location, is something that DG community should be graceful. So all ya yappers out there, get a grip honestly. It's an event for the fans and the players equally. Hats off to Estonians believing that our sport can be held on arena-like environment and it doesn't always have to be well established course in middle of nowhere
It's a putting competition out there.. the greens are to clean to challenge these pros. In my opinion.
The thing I like about this tournament is the different layouts. The 3rd and 4th rounds will have more dangerous putts, which will make some of the holes harder, but also a lot more dangerous to run putts. So they get to shred now, which is fun, but they also have a more difficult time coming up. So far, it's super exciting. Let's go
Seeing Luke get pushed down the leaderboard slowly was torture haha
The European announcers dress quite obviously lol
Let's go team MVP
I love that Estonia gets to host this major event but this course is not major worthy. It's kind of a joke. Playing this course after Krokhol may have been a contributing factor in my opinion here… One is so much more professional than the other and to have them side by side, makes it ever so obvious. Food for thought PDGA.. (like they don't know). Keep working this course Estonia! That team competition was dope! You have the tools to make a good one!
Where are Luke's highlights? More Mcbeth than anyone and he will choke next round again. Taylor, not Humphries
What a lead card for tomorrow!
Thank you Estonia
So, Luke being -12 has no highlights,🤔
Paul back to his roots with the tall T
-13. WHAT A JOKE OF A COURSE. All of these courses need to be changed to challenge the pros. These courses are dated. -13 at a major is pathetic.
“Not worthy of a major” crybabies can piss off. I’m convinced most of you aren’t even disc golfers, just trolls. Some of you are acting like you got personally attacked because the PDGA decided to use a large and extremely spectator friendly venue. This course is extremely fair and well liked by the players. Not to mention absolutely beautiful and in one of the coolest cities in the world. It doesn’t matter if the winning score is -5 or -40. The player who plays the best wins. Disc golf will NEVER have comparable scoring to golf. The sports are just too different in how you score. Let’s keep it that way.
Post produced ?!?
Nice
Someone explain to me… in what world is this pitch and putt a major test? How in the hell does a course like this get a major championship? Laughable
Such a boring course!
DGPT… Why can we hear someone typing in many of these clips? Figure out your gain/gate.
Anybody know where I can watch this coverage WITHOUT a DGPT subscription???
Good highlight reel !!!
🍺😎👍
Let's go Eagle!!! 12 under😮
imagine paying money for the worst quality coverage…ill never stop saying the pdga coverage needs an upgrade. its 2025 please.
