While the spotlight is currently on Bethpage Black in New York for the 2025 Ryder Cup, for golf fans in Europe we can already start to look ahead after the recent announcement that the 2031 Ryder Cup will be heading to Spain’s Camiral Resort.

Camiral’s Stadium Course, already a favourite on the DP World Tour and a past host of the Spanish Open, is now firmly on the radar for golf travellers dreaming of teeing it up where the pros play.

Located in Girona, the resort formerly known as PGA Catalunya will host the Ryder Cup for the first time, marking the second time Spain has staged the event, the first since Valderrama in 1997. It also becomes just the fourth venue in continental Europe to hold golf’s biggest team event, following Paris (2018), Rome (2023), and Valderrama (1997).

Camiral Resort

Following the announcement, we ran a quick social media poll to see how many of you had experienced golf at a Ryder Cup venue and the response was impressive. From the comments and feedback, it was clear just how popular venues like The Belfry, Celtic Manor, and Gleneagles remain. In fact, 70% of respondents said they’d played at a Ryder Cup course, and another 5% are planning to soon, showing just how strong the draw of a Ryder Cup legacy truly is.

So, whether you’re planning a golf break, a society trip, or your own Ryder Cup-style weekend with mates, here’s a look at some of Europe’s top Ryder Cup venues where you can stay and play.

The Belfry

With three different courses on offer to you, each bringing their own different challenge to your game. The Belfry is constantly ploughing money into the courses and the facilities, ensuring it keeps its title as one of the most prestigious courses in the UK.
