Been great to watch you this week. I’m going to take you back. Opening day 78, 65 on day two. Wonderful 68 day three. Brilliant finish today 64. You’ve mentioned it before. Words from your late father about never giving up. How proud are you of your performance turning this week around and using his words of inspiration? Yeah, it was a very emotional week just from the get-go of feeling like my game was right there and all of a sudden it not being there and not really playing bad. just things not going my way. And that’s links golf for you. Um the second round I didn’t play much differently. And I shot 13 shots different. And I think that’s the just a testament to what golf is and how difficult it can be. And for me personally, it was it was nice that I was able to hold myself under the pressure and go, you know what, I’m going to fight for every shot. And that’s what I did the second round. The third round, man, I could have had another seven seven under. Um and in the final round, I’m super proud of the way I played today. Left a couple shots out there, but I’m not I’m not begging for more. uh played pretty well and um just wish I would had that first day back. I bet the fans reaction out there, they love watching you, the kids, the support, how much you enjoyed the Irish hospitality. Oh, it’s been fantastic. They’ve made it feel like a second home to me and couldn’t be more supportive and appreciative of of them and uh look forward to being back here sometime soon. And just finally before we let you go, obviously championship out now. We’re going to see the leaders coming down the stretch. Scotty Sheffle that dominant performance. I mean, can you kind of quantify what he’s doing right now? Yeah, I I’ll tell you in college he was a good player, not that good. I mean, I beat him quite a bit and he’s stepped up his game for sure and it’s impressive to watch. He’s setting a benchmark that we all want to aspire to be at and uh I’ve got to work a lot harder on my game. Listen, great to watch you and to finish and start with that 64 some playing. Thanks, Bryson. Thank you, guys. Thank

  1. Every event we have to listen to Faldo's negative bias against Bryson for not being conventional. Happy he had a good last 3 rounds

  2. Yet he never will win The open, he’s not good enough! Too erratic. The 4 majors this year he’s bottled it, no surprises the no.1/2 have won 3/4 majors this year! He’s not on their level. Nice guy but needs to really work on his game!

  3. That's right on!! Bryson needs to remember that he is professional playing for money, not pride. When he loses, all those dependent upon his income, lose too.

  4. The absolute hate and loathing that Byrson recieves is off the chain. From the on course commentators, the play by play guys, the Sky Sports producers(almost impossible to see a Bryson shot). It's borderline childish their jealousy or envy, hard to understand.

During the final round, Bryson was on a heater and the only way to see it was using The Open virtual round by player which to be fair was awesome but not the same as seeing him hit on the tele.

At least NBC showed a few of his shots/puts during the 4th round rather than showing every European that was 14 shots back and on the back 9, ridiculous TV coverage by Sky Sports.

  5. all the people ripping him in that vid they took down after round one 'out of contention' saying he will never get links golf and is not made for it… well

  6. Yep some cracking golf there from Bryson a shame about the 1st round because if he had shot level for the 1st round he would of been right there with Scottie would have made it more entertaining

  7. I wish he had a decent first round, if he had we would have had a more exciting final round. Yesterday was a snooze day.

  8. It is pretty crazy that you have to play roughly 4 under par on every round to stay near Scottie on a world class course against the best players in the world. In a place where the wind can whip around and you have little hills, deep sand traps, tough rough and much more. Crazy.

  9. Love Bryson, but he's GOT to start swinging 5% softer and get his control down. Lets not blame the ball brother. Lets fix the wild whack.

  10. Must be awful for the Sky pundits…dougherty, coltart, riley etc who know what dechambeau is and know that it is all a fake "rebrand".
Yet they have to pretend that he a nice guy. Not sure i could do that.
