Curious what the experts on here think. For context: I played 10+ years of year around/ select baseball, and have had a set of golf clubs my whole life. BUT, I have never in my life spent any amount of time at the range, or put even the slightest bit of effort to improve. I just used to show up at the course and send it. AKA, I was the guy with the massive 100 yd banana slice. This video shows the first swing I ever recorded on this journey, roughly 3 months ago on April 28. The last two videos show my swing as of the last two weeks. I have been decently happy with my progress as my swing looks better(imo, but again I don’t know shit), and I have been playing better. I am able to shoot in the mid 90’s as of now(first round of year was easily 130+), with my best round being 41 on 9(all depends on the driver). I have been totally self taught thus far, but that changes tomorrow as I am going to my first coaching session. Anyways, I might start posting every 3 months or so to show my progress post coaching, as well as my thoughts on self-taught vs. coached. I guess my question is how much do you think I will improve from getting coaching(assuming I have found the right coach for me, and we get along)? I feel as though I have stagnated a little bit, and it is no longer apparent to me what I should be working on next.

PS – I have no illusions that I am good at golf, or that my swing is awesome. I know my backswing is too long, my downswing is too steep/ over the top, and that my swing crosses the line at the top

I have no meaningful comment in regards to your swing because I’m a firm believer in not flogging your brain with a ton of bs right before having someone quite literally try to teach you how to fix what’s already broken in your swing. However, nice Rufus shirt, picked up the same when they were in Dallas. That’s all, good luck on the golf journey my fellow edm brotherin
