McIlroy speaks to the media following the third round at the Open Championship
Rory, um, amazing atmosphere out there today, which you seem to be really enjoying. How was that? Yeah, it was incredible. Um, yeah, that was it was so much fun. You know, I got off to the perfect start, you know, three under through four. Um, felt like, you know, that the end of the front nine there or at least through 11. I, you know, the par on seven felt like a bogey and then the bogey on 11. But then to, you know, to play those last, you know, seven holes and three under, I thought was a good effort. Um, and yeah, no, like I I played well. I I rode my luck at times, but um, yeah, it was an incredible atmosphere out there. And, um, you know, feel like I’ve at least given myself half a chance tomorrow. Can you talk us through some of the soap opera events of out there? Not just the fast start, but what happened on 11th and the incredible response with the 56 foot eagle put on 12 and then the birdie on 15, which is a tap in. Yeah. Um yeah, you know, obviously a great start. Um you know, sort of like the the dream start to be able to be, you know, three under through four and have five and seven to play. So to not birdie those was a little disappointing. And then um yeah, what happened on 11 was just so, you know, my ball came out so strange. Like I felt I I thought it was I was going to get a flyer and I looked up and my ball could see it spinning up against the wind. So, um just a really weird um I had no obviously no idea there was a ball anywhere close to um my ball and I could have done better with the chip shot there anyway. And you know that was you know the boogie um you know it wasn’t it was I mean making boogie on 11 is not the end of the world. It’s a tough hole but yeah the the eagle on 12 was you know one of the coolest moments. It was one of the loudest roars I’ve ever heard on a golf course. So, you know, that was a really cool moment and, you know, to get those those shots back straight away was nice and, um, felt like I played the last few holes, you know, really solid and and picked one up coming in, which which was good. What’s your plan between now and your tea time tomorrow? Um, grab some dinner. Um, try to sleep as much as I can. Um, don’t have any rugby to distract me tomorrow morning. Um, watch New Zealand France and the Lions game. So, uh, I’ll, you know, I don’t know. I I’ll try to find something to watch. I started Oenheimer last night. I’ll try to get through another hour of it tonight. Maybe finish it tomorrow morning. Um, but yeah, apart from that, I just keep my mind off of things. I I I I always do better with distraction. Um, so if I can just distract myself and get my mind on on something else, that’s always a, you know, that’s always a um a good plan for me. what you seem to be at this point. Yeah, he’s I mean he’s playing like Scotty, you know. I think that’s I don’t think it’s a surprise. Everyone’s seen the way he play he’s played or plays over the last two to three years and um he’s just so solid, you know, he just he doesn’t make mistakes even, you know, it looked like he could have made bogie on 14 there. Um he you know, he’s you know, turned himself into a really consistent putter as well. So, you know, there doesn’t seem to be any weakness there. And whenever you’re trying to chase down a guy like that, it’s it’s hard to do. But he’s incredibly impressive. Sorry, you seem to be open mouth in amazement after what happened on Lean. Is it one of the strangest things you’ve ever experienced on a golf course? Yeah, I mean it’s it’s never it’s never happened to me before. It’s the only thing it it could never happen on any other course but a Lynx course as well, you know, when the the rough’s all matted down and balls get, you know, so it was um Yeah, it was very strange. Thanks. Thanks. Did you like the same

I did something naughty yesterday night. Wife won’t be happy
One shot. 2 balls.
I have been a stay at Home mom with no money in my IRA or any savings of my own, which was scary at 53 years of age. Three years ago I got a part time job and save everything I make. After 3 years, I am 56 yr and have put $9,000 in an IRA and $40,000 in my portfolio with CFA, Robert Herjavec. Since the goal of getting a job was to invest for retirement and NOT up my lifestyle, I was able to scale this quickly to $150,000. If I can do this in a year, anyone can
Doesn’t mention anything about family🤷🏻hang out with Poppy
I glad he's happier
Rory sux and has no chance; just not capable of overcoming his position on the leader board, if he moves closer he will give it back. Simply cannot overcome the distance to win a championship. His mental makeup will not allow him to take the lead; no matter what, he must lose to stay in his comfort zone.
I thought he didnt want to talk anymore? Im confused.
