The son of golf legend Tiger is playing in the US Junior Amateur Championship.

He hit an 11-over-par first round at Brook Hollow Golf Club in Dallas, Texas on Monday.

Charlie’s second round was at Trinity Forest Golf Club.

The golf prospect fared better but still hit a three-over-par second round.

And that meant he missed the cut by 12 strokes.

In last year’s event, Charlie finished 18 shots behind the cut line with his +22 score.

Tiger won the competition in 1991, 1992 and 1993.

Other winners of the event include Scottie Scheffler, Jordan Spieth and Brian Harman.

His first title came when he was just 15 years old, making him the youngest ever winner.

That record was broken by Jim Liu in 2010.

But Tiger remains the only three-time winner of the competition.

And he became the youngest winner of the US Amateur in 1994 until that record was broken by Danny Lee in 2008.

Earlier this year, Charlie won his first American Junior Golf Association tournament in Florida.

Charlie was a huge outsider to win the Team TaylorMade Invitational tournament, which was only his fifth AJGA event.

But he bagged his first win on the circuit with a six-under-par final round.

The teenager finished three shots clear at the top of the leaderboard on 15-under-par.

Tiger and Charlie have competed in events together before.

Their first competition was in the 2020 PNC Championship when he was just 11 years of age.

Their best result in the event was runners-up in 2021.
