Cooper flag is the future. And with a retoolled roster around them, the question is, can this new looks Maverick’s team contend in the West. [Music] This is not just a retool. This is a full identity shift. It’s a completely new team. Jason Kit stays in place and so does the defensive first system he’s built over the past few years, but the personnel is drastically different. Dallas is now built around the front court. Defense, shooting, depth, and by committee offense all remain key parts. Kids blueprint hasn’t changed. He wants defense first, lineups that can switch, protect the rim, and run. What has changed is how they’ll generate offense. With Dao running the point, expect more high pick and roll with Anthony Davis and Daniel Gaffford, plus plenty of offball action to free up Klay Thompson and Jaden Hardy. Speaking of Klay Thompson, he’s looking a lot younger these days. We want to thank Megan the Stallion specifically for that. Then there’s Cooper Flag, the number one pick. Kid will easily build him into the system, but his ability to defend, shoot, and make plays at 69 will open up small ball units with AD at the five. On defense, this could quietly be a top five unit between Davis, Flag, Lively, PJ, and Caleb Martin. The length and switchability are a leap. Anthony Davis still elite when healthy. He’ll be the defensive anchor, but expect more elbow touches and offensive responsibility. No longer the second guy, he’s now the guy. Cooper Flag, the number one overall pick. His IQ, versatility, and shot making give Dallas a true two-way cornerstone for the future. D’Angelo Russell. Until Kyrie Irving returns, he’s the floor general. Can run high pick and roll, hit open shots, and study the offense, but he needs to improve defensively. And I’m a little bit skeptical about that.

Cooper Flagg is gonna be a good player, but I doubt he’ll be generational.
