Hit them straight sometimes but lacks a bit of power and it just doesn’t feel or look that smooth. Some slices too sometimes. Need to be more consistent. Anybody got tips?

    There is a lot to deal with that others can probably explain better than I can, but you’re not turning your hips on the back swing at all. It results in all arms swing.

    A lesson could help a lot. Your swing is all arms. You really don’t get any turn in your shoulders or hips. Almost no rotation.

    Getting some feedback on engaging your legs and core could help a ton.

    Spine angle, get some bend at the waist a little and with your trail hand reach down to the side of your trail side knee. Start there.

    Make these same stills for literally any pro’s swing and look at them next to yours. You’ll see you aren’t rotating really. Gotta rotate those hips and shoulders.

    An easy way to visualize would be to throw a baseball using your exact swing mechanics. 100% arms and not engaging your core at all. Imagine holding a giant medicine ball and trying to toss it underhand. With your current swing that ball would go a couple feet. To throw it far you’d need to rotate and get some momentum going and then use your legs to push off the ground to get some distance. Once you start rotating and engaging your core (and the ground), you’ll start hitting it a lot harder. The throwing a ball thing (or really any other sport you’ve played – tennis swing, hockey shot, etc) was the easiest way for me to visualize rotating in my head, and once that clicked it unlocked everything for me.

    Turn those hips. You want your back facing the target when at the top of your swing. You are also standing way too erect. Gets some flex in the knees. The driver should not be flat on the ground, but rather , the toe should be pointed slightly up.

    Come down steeper.
    Don’t rotate hips so much.

    Standing too upright. Bend at the waist and get your chest more pointed at the ball. You’re also just picking up the club with no hip turn whatsoever. Your swing is all arms. Hip rotation (and release) is where all the power comes from, not the arms. Once you have a better setup with more bend at the waist, dip your lead knee towards the ball at takeaway. It’ll start your hips rotating. Takeaway should be low and slow for the first foot or so straight back from the ball. Then start raising it.

    Your swing in whole is good but it looks like your swing is in two pieces. The first thing I noticed is that it looks like your right arm moves first. I would try to practice getting both of your arms moving back at the same time. It’s easy to say but hard to do. Your left arm looks great but it just looks like you jut your right arm out. As for your hips I think if you can bring your upper body with your arms back in a more fluid movement, your hips will follow. What I would advise and I tell people this when they want to get into golf, watch Adam Scott’s swing. It is almost perfect. Hopefully that helps you get some more distance off the tee.
