See how Jack Nicklaus’s unique **golf setup position** and head position made his **golf swing** stand out. He learned this technique from Sam Snead, keeping his head **behind the ball** all the way back and through impact. This **golf swing tips** video provides insight into a legendary player’s technique and **golf history**.

Jack’s head position because Jack Nicholas has one of the most recognizable swings in golf partly because of his head position. When he sets up to the ball, he turns his head to the right, looks at the golf ball just with his left eye, and then he keeps his head behind the ball like this all the way back down and through and well past impact. Now, Nicholas has been swinging this way since he was 16 years old, and he went to an exhibition with Sam Sneed, and he saw Sneeed do it, and he figured if it’s good enough for Sam Sneed, it’s good enough for me. Flick says that Nicholas does this thing for two reasons. First of all, it’s his swing trigger. Now, every golfer should have one of these swing triggers. Whether it’s a headcock like it is for Nicholas, or whether it’s a waggle or maybe a little lower body movement, but one of these triggers right before you take the club back will help you take the club back more smoothly. So, especially if you’re somebody with tempo problems, this is a great thing to adapt and put into your swing. Secondly, because Nicholas keeps his head this way throughout the entire back swing, he’s able to make a much bigger, more unrestricted turn, and that’s what helps him generate so much power. Now, he also keeps his head this way on the down swing and well past impact. That helps him release and unleash all of that power that he has built up in the back swing. So, give the little head swivel a try. If it’s good enough for Jack Nicholas and Sam Sneeed, I guarantee it’s good enough for
