SALT LAKE CITY (KUTV) — Tiger Woods visited Park City to see the progress on his mountain golf course under development at Marcella Club.
Woods’ golf course design firm, TGR Design, posted Monday, saying the “team had a productive design visit” at the Utah club.
“We walked the site, saw the new sod which is already installed on several holes, and directed final shaping on the holes still under construction. I can’t wait to see the finished product of our first mountain design,” Woods posted on his social media accounts.

The course, which is located near Jordanelle Ridge, will be Woods’ first mountain course.
Woods first announced his design firm would be partnering with Marcella Club to construct its first Mountain West golf course in Park City in 2023. The 18-hole course is expected to open in 2025, and as of July, grass is in place for nearly half the holes.
The design firm is Woods’ “chapter two,” with 13 projects completed or underway, according to the website. This will be the Woods’ first Utah golf course.
The firm’s website claims the course “will have some of the most spectacular views in all of golf.”
“Jordanelle Ridge will be the site of a new TGR Design golf facility with unparalleled 360-degree views of the Uinta Mountains, Jordanelle Reservoir, Deer Valley Resort, and the Heber Valley with Mount Timpanogos in the distance,” the site said.
While the course is expected to be “a stern test for low handicap golfers,” the design also is designed for “individuals of all skill levels to come together and enjoy the course,” the firm said.
