Hi, this is Steve from Mad About Golf and I’m at Golf HQ in Takapuna. And today we’re going to be looking at golf bags. And near the end I’m going to show you a golf bag which I think is probably one of the coolest uh designs I’ve ever seen in a golf bag. It’s made by a brand called G4. But people don’t know this, but it’s actually manufactured by another brand called Vessel. So very cool high-end golf bag. So we’ll check that out. Uh small favor to ask though. Literally hundreds of golf bags to have a look at. So, let’s start. Cheers. Okay, just going to start off. This is Sun Mountain. So, these are what they call cart bags. So, um designed to go just on a cart like so. So, they still come with a a carry strap, which is here, just sort of carrying it to the cart. Uh, but yeah, not not a stand bag. You know, the one that’s got the um the prongs at the front, which we’ll have a look at. But yeah, these are by Sun Mountain. This particular model, it’s got the separate dividers for each club. That’s for your putter. And then your driver and your 3-wood will go on that end there. And very, very light. Wow, it’s incredibly light. This one comes in orange. Looks like they’ve got a purple as well. So, pretty cool. And that H2 No brand by Sun Mountain also comes in this pretty cool sort of uh sandy color as well, which I really like. This brand is called MGI, and they’re kind of like designed to go with the NGI electric carts here. Uh but again, ultra light bag. This is called the dry play model. But yeah, again got the dividers at the top which is pretty cool. Yeah, lots of storage and obviously you got dry play means it’s pretty waterproof. This is a pretty funky looking brand. Aguio. Um, look at that for colorful. The Augio 25 silencer cart safari. Um, yeah, pretty cool looking. Um, and they’ve got an interesting sort of top section. So, your your clubs go in here like that. Um, pretty colorful. Um, yeah, not sure if I’m into that, but uh, so this is your classic tight list cart bag. This is actually a midsize cart bag. You’ve probably seen these on TV a lot. A lot of the pros um caddies use these or the the larger version or this this size and yeah very sturdy made of a lot of leather and they use a sixway divider at the top but yeah beautiful bag classic style lovely. This is the Ping Pioneer range of cart bags. They have the dividers also at the top for individual clubs, which is nice. And uh yeah, they’re starting off with they’ve got the classic black or white. That one I think that’s this one’s actually like a Yeah, it’s like a leather leather style finish. Uh how much is that one? 659. This one’s more of a vinyl style. And then you got some pretty cool camouflage. Well, that’s camouflage. That’s not uh style bags, but very nice. And this is a brand by Ping called the Traverse. That is some colorful bag that one. It’s a bit more tame. Got a nice white creamy colored one there. And then this one has got the the Ping logo all over it. Pretty cool. Muno also make a really nice stand bag. colors and they again go with the the sixway divider at the top. This one’s nice. It’s an all black bag by a brand called Augio, which I like. Big fan of all blacks. All black. Here’s a bag that I’m a fan of. It’s a tight list cart 15, which is a bit of a classic uh cart 15 cuz there’s 15 individual dividers at the top. So, not designed really to be carried, which there’s only one strap to help you sort of get in and out of the car, but yeah, really designed to go on the back of a cart. When I say back of a cart, I mean a trolley or a cart, golf cart, but yeah, generally on a trolley. Uh 15. What are these? $479. Pretty good. Nice. I just realized, why would you have a car bag that has 15 slots when you’re only allowed 14 clubs? Interesting, right? 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15. which I guess is why they also have another brand called the Cart 14, which is this one here, which comes in a nice sort of blue red color and a couple of nice blues. This is quite a popular brand, too, called Big Max. This one’s called the Dry Light. These are 379. These are stand bags, and they’ve got them in red, black, and then this sort of turquoise color as well. But if I didn’t have to carry my own bag and had a caddy, I’d get one of these. All right, let’s have a look at some what they call stand bags. So, these are designed to be carried and they’ve got uh the stand at the back that you can uh put on the ground. I’ll show you how that works in a second. But this is a really nice bag by Mazuno. Uh strange name though, the Mazuno VR-D3. 369 bucks. Pretty good. So, that’s what it looks like once you got the legs out. Just drop it on the ground there and play your shot and then pick her up again. Loads of options when it comes to standsag. You got Mazuno, Cobra, what have we got here? Wilson, and then of course Sun Mountain. This is a nice one by Titus called the Hybrid 14. Stay dry. This one’s got the um individual uh sleeves for each club. 14. And how much is this one? This one is $579. Yeah, really nice. Smart looking bag though. Some pretty cool detailing too. Look at this handle. What I say. Tightless also do a smaller version of that called the uh Titus players 4 carbon which is this one. And so it’s just got one, two, yeah, four slots at the top and black, red, blue, gray. Yeah. Then they’ve got this beauty here, which is called the premium stand bag. Again, it’s four slots at the top, but it’s got like this kind of velvety feel to it, which is really nice. Really like the styling of this bag actually. Titus also do another stand bag called the pliers five. That’s obviously got five slots at the top. And they got some pretty pretty cool colors. Black. Don’t know what that is. Grape. Uh, black, red. Yeah, really nice. This is a bag by Ping called Moonlander, which is super super light. I mean, crazy light. Look at that. And it’s only 359 bucks, which is pretty good. This is a classic bag you probably heard of before. This is the Ping Hoofer. Sold millions around the world. I reckon beautiful looking golf bag. This one’s black and white. This one’s pretty uh unique as well. says Summit Collection, the peak of performance by Callaway. It’s a says member standbag. 719 bucks. But yeah, it’s nice. Look at this. Pretty plain, but very stylish. We’re using a four-way divider. Okay, as promised, let’s finish off with these G4 stands. It is made by Vessel. We know that cuz there’s a little tag inside here that says vessel, but um yeah, it’s more about for these bags. I mean, they’re very light, but um this they’ve got this kind of soft it’s like a leather leathery feeling. It’s beautiful feeling. Premium zips. This is padding. So, that’s goes against the side of your body. Really soft soft and squishy. Uh straps, nice thick handle. Yeah. And just sort of beautiful detailing on it. Look at that. Beautiful zip. Uh, this is kind of like embroidered onto the back here, which is nice. Yeah, just a really beautifully designed bag. And yeah, again, like look at that kind of detailing here. Stunning. Heat. Heat.
