All eyes were on Paige Spiranac at the green carpet premiere of ‘Happy Gilmore 2’ on Monday, July 21.
Spiranac, 32, wore a fitted red dress with a sheer skirt that gave off the same energy as Jessica Rabbit. She complemented her dress with red heels and gold accented jewelry. Her hair was done in beachy waves, with a red lip and rosy cheeks.
The golf influencer has a cameo in the upcoming Netflix sequel Happy Gilmore 2 alongside other stars like Adam Sandler, Julie Bowen, Ben Stiller, Bad Bunny, and many more.
When the trailer was officially released back in March, the golf star wrote on X, “The fact that I’m in the Happy Gilmore 2 movie is actually insane lol,” in a quote tweet of Adam Sandler’s X announcement.
In her anticipated scene, Spiranac plays a Dick’s Sporting Goods employee who is tasked with helping out Happy, the main character, who accidentally puts a large slice into the golf simulator while other customers look on.
Spiranac played golf for the University of Arizona from 2011-2012, before transferring to San Diego State for her sophomore year. Golf.com reports that as a senior, Spiranac took her team to victory at the Mountain West tournament when she, “played the front nine in four over par, but steadied herself at the turn and came home with an even-par 36.”
The San Diego State alum shot to fame in 2015 when a friend of hers had sent a photo of her to Dan Regester, who managed the Instagram account for TFM Girls, an account associated with a website called Total Frat Move. Photos and videos of her playing golf were posted, and the rest is history.
“This guy found a picture of me on Total Frat Move and wrote an open love letter,” she tells Medium. “It ended up going viral. In a week, I went from having 500 followers to 100,000 and my life completely changed.”
