#titleist #t100 #t150 #t250 #t350

Hey, welcome to another episode of Yes Golf Review. This is a titleless launch rake for their irons. And if you haven’t seen the T100 iron review, I recommend that you check it out because most of the technologies that are in T100 are also played in the T150, which you’re about to find out. But I really love the tagline for the T-150. The model T-150 is called a tour iron for the rest of us. The tour iron for the rest of us. And of course the the rest of us refers to us, right? You and I who are amateurs who are avid golfer or titalist calls it the dedicated golfers who wants to get better, who really enjoys the game and yet the tour iron, the T100 or the CBA, the MBs are just a little bit too difficult to to game. So T150 has all the characteristics of those tour irons and yet they’re packaged in a way that’s forgiving, produces a lot of consistent distance, and it will be better feeling iron than the hollow body iron. So the T150 is honestly something that I would consider playing. Uh for me, you as you will see in just a bit, I probably exemplify a lot of average uh swing speed. Seven iron swinging around 80 miles per hour, 82, sometimes a little bit more than that, but somewhere around there. 7 iron distance, I would probably be looking at the carry distance from 155 to 160. So T150 is targeted for those type of players. So this would be a great example for you. But also I want to come in in the angle of someone who would be coming from the game improvement iron and they may be wondering you may be wondering can I game these instead of the T250 which are hollow body a little bit easier and yet lacks a little bit of a feel and I also want to come from the angle of someone who’s playing the tour irons the the MBs the CBS and T100s and yet want to play something that’s a little bit more forgiving. So, I want to come at those two angles, but let me go ahead and hit one and then give you the technology behind the T150s. All right. A little bit thin, but very acceptable. Actually, this would be a perfect example of how forgiving this iron is, as opposed to the T100’s, which we’ve reviewed already. But you may be wondering, can I go to the T100 or the T-150? So, let me give you a little bit of a difference between these two. And you will see that almost the muscle back area right here, um, T100 is a little bit beefier. And then the cavity side of the T150 right over here is just a little bit bigger. So, you see a little bit more cavity there. If you look at the sole, um, it’s a little bit of a difference, but it’s T100 is a little bit narrower. So, uh, the T-150 is a little bit wider. And also in the address position, the one on the left is the T-150. So, it’s a little bit bigger or wider on the uh, in the top line there versus the T100. So, everything is just a little bit bigger. If you compare it with the T250, you’ll see that it’s a two completely different type of iron. The T250 is a hollow body iron and T150 is very much of a a muscle back, a cavity back iron. So you’ll see two difference there. And another difference between the T100 and the T1 150 is that in T100 there’s no muscle channel in the 7iron. actually through 5 through W, uh, they are all solid body, but T150, the muscle channel, as you can see right over here, that’s a muscle channel that allows for a little bit of a slot in between the face and the back face, which allows for a little bit more ball speed, so a little bit more launch as well. So, a lot of these things and and if you watched our T100 review, the T100 does feature a muscle channel in the three and the 4 iron. So, if you’re thinking of T100 versus T150, what’s going to come into an effect is do you hit your 7iron pretty solid? If you do and a sixiron pretty solid, you may be okay with going with the T100. But if you have a little bit slimmer of a doubt that seven, maybe you’re 160 out in a par three, you have to carry 155 and that that’s a little bit of a iffy for you and you want to go safe. If you’re in that camp, I would definitely recommend the T-150. And what’s really really awesome about this year’s T-Series irons is that T100, T150, and T250 have all the same offset. So when you take it down at a dress between T100, T150, and T250, they all have the same offset. So it allows for you to combo or blend the set in any way you want. And blending the set is a huge deal for tour pros, but also it should be for the uh for the amateur golfers. So at our yesgolfshop.com, if you go right there, I we’ve listed a combo irons for you to check it out. You can combo it with T100 and T150 or you can combo it with T150 and T250 any way you like. Let me hit one more time again. That one was hit low on the face and healely. So, for that to go, if I hit that with a T 100, I would wouldn’t have carried what I would carry right over here, 144 rolling out to 162. I would think the T 100 would carry maybe 140. Uh, with the the muscle channel not being there, let me go ahead and hit one more time. That one’s a little bit sol more solid. So because it has the same offset as the T100, it’s not as drawing as much. I am seeing almost identical start line and landing angle and also the the dispersion when I hit T 100 and T150 side to side. So you can check that out at our our channel. But it’s staying little to the right than what I’m used to seeing from the previous T150. But it doesn’t mean that you can’t draw it. So, let me try drawing one right now. See if it draws a little bit. Right. It’s a little bit of a baby draw. That one was hit really well, too. It’s landing on the left side of the pin. That was really well struck. So, let me see that right here. club speed at 81, ball speed reaching 111, which I haven’t seen from the T100, and launch angle at 20° is also a very good launch for a 7iron that’s at 32°. So, I would really say, man, like if I were in a position to get a set this year and I’m torn between T100, just looking at that, I would probably go up to sixiron in the T150 and then four and five iron in the T250 just to blend it. Um, I think for me, if I were to go T100, I would think about doing eight through pitching wedge in the T100 and 67 maybe in the T-150 just because of that muscle channel. And keep in mind, the T100 and T-150, the loft difference between the two is just one degree this year. Uh, they’ve strengthened the T100 one degree stronger just to make it much easier for you to blend the set. So that’s where where I would land. I mean, those four shots, including a a shot that was missed horribly, has landed somewhere in the middle of the green together. So that’s very much acceptable for me. A green that’s about 160 yards out. Another thing that’s different this year is that they’ve incorporated from 7 through W, they’ve incorporated a groove pattern adopted from Bokei SM10. So they worked with their wedge master Bob Voki and they’ve put a more aggressive groove on their scoring irons so that you don’t have much of those flyers anymore. Uh it will perform more consistently out of wet uh rough and wet fairways. So, if you are watching this in the east coast of United States or anywhere around where you have a little bit of a wet condition all year round, um this year’s those more aggressive grooves on the scoring irons will perform much more consistent for you all year round for for T150 and T100. Yep. So starting online, a little bit of a fade there. Yeah. I mean, I hit that really really well. I am a natural drawer of the golfer. So for for me to hit a fade and land about the same, I mean, look at that. The dispersion on it. It’s so tight. It’s a very good dispersion all throughout. So another thing that has changed is the shaft. The stock shaft is now the True Temper AMT silver. If you remember last year, they had the project XLZ on these. So, they characterized the True Temper AMT silver shaft to be more of a mid low and spin. So, kind of somewhere between the T100, the AMT White, and the AMT Black, which is a mid uh launching and spin shaft. But, I would recommend going with a shaft that you know works well for you. If you don’t know that, I would recommend for you to come to our shop right over here at Laah Habra, California or anywhere where you could test some shafts and and put that on there. And again, those are available for for you on our website as well. So, you can do all of that. I mean, it feels good. I would probably lean towards the T150 for me. Just having that um forgiveness factor, a little bit more confidence factor with the muscle channel is huge for me. and I would not be able to feel the difference in the feel from this T100 and the T-150. So, it feels just as good and pure. So, thank you so much for watching. If this was helpful for you, like and subscribe. We’re trying to reach 5,000 subscriber by the end of the year. 1. The T200 is harder to hit. People hear “forgiving” and think it’s easier to hit. The hot shots are just centered strike that go 20 yards farther. The side strikes are much worse. I game the T150 and absolutely love them. My miss is almost minimal with yardage. I tried to combo set with T200 and was beyond inconsistent. Players distance like the T200 are mainly for ppl who are elite but older with slower swings and need a hot face. I would strongly recommend a fitting as I did not think it would have such a big impact in results between the two.

  2. Is there a way to get these clubs club head weight consistent across the set between D0 and D1?

  3. Nice review!
Cool Clubs did 3d mapping of all these models. They very much do NOT have the same offset. The T150 had impressive numbers in forgiveness, ball speed retention and l-r dispersion, so you could probably play T150 all the way up into the long irons.
