I’m a beginner golfer with a 24 Handicap, who never really breaks 100. Today I tried using Golf Sidekicks break 100 strategy and it went very well!

Okay, today I’m trying to break 100 using Sidekicks Golf’s strategy. Basically breaks it down nice and simple. And the rules are one is basically you change what you’re aiming for. So we change the course to be a 99 par. We add for the hardest index holes, you add two shots. So if it’s a, you know, one of the hardest index par fives, you’re aiming for a double bogey. That is your new par. Uh, and basically you go through and change this across the scoreboard. So I think it’s the first it’s the hardest nine holes you add two to uh and the easiest nine holes you add one to. So you’re all and that is your new adjusted target. And basically the reason why you do this is to alleviate that mental pressure. So we’re not PGA pros. We’re not aiming for actual pars. So when we don’t get those um it kind of throws us off a little bit. But if you’re aiming for, you know, a double bogey on that par five, it’s going to give you something more accurate to aim for. And that also means you add two to the green in regulation just to keep you a bit more mentally stable when you’re on the course. So that means on a par five, you can literally get to the green in five. And that is your green and reg. And that’s going to keep you on track to breaking 100. Now the next rule is that only use your three to four favorite clubs, he says. So for me today that is the driver, seven iron, pitching wedge, and a putter. Those are the clubs that I get on them with the most, the ones I most have the most confidence with. So those are the only ones that I’m going to be taking today to keep it nice and simple. Um, I’ll go through more of the rules as we go through this video, but let’s jump into that first shot now where I’m taking a driver on the par five. Um, and yeah, let’s see how we do. All right, it’s come out a little bit to the left. I’ve pumped it into that bunker, but it’s a safe shot. I avoided the Aua and the out of bounds to the right. We’re in the bunker, but as Sidekick Golf says, we’re not PGA professionals, so we shouldn’t be expecting it to go in the fairway every single time. Now, all I’m going to do here is another rule is basically play into your shots. Now, at the moment, some of my shots are just flying out to the right. Uh, and there’s out of bounds over there. So, I’m going to aim a bit to the left, and it still probably might come out to the right. But just basically, rule two there is just play to your shot. There we go. Easy. On to the next. All right. So, taking my seven iron because like you said, it’s a very trusted club of mine. though, you know, let’s see if my trust is in good faith here. Um, but the next thing as well is he says to always avoid hazards. Like if you don’t think you can basically 100% get over something, then don’t go for it. Again, here there’s bunkers to the right there. And like I said before, like my shots have been coming out to the right. So I’m just going to overcompensate and go to the left hand side just to make sure I’m not taking like unnecessary shots. Um, so yeah, avoid hazards hitting to the left. Okay. Oh my god, that came out so nice. I’m glad I trusted this bad boy. Seven iron. Yes. Let’s go. I’m about to take my fourth shot on, which means that our actual targeted score, I’m one below. So, if Sidekick says we get, you know, basically on this par five, five to be green and red, I’m about to be one more than green and red for us. So, maybe let’s help him with my like mentality because usually I don’t hit shots that good, but because I’ve taken all the pressure off myself, maybe that’s why I’ve been hitting shots this good. Um, but yeah, let’s go. Let’s just punt it on the green. Oh my god. Maybe golf is all mentality. That was quality. I never do this. Let’s go. Okay, so going to try the same thing. Don’t overthink it. I think this is just straight. This is literally for a a real power putt. So, I’m feeling good right now. Oh my god. That was the cleanest hole of golf I’ve ever played in my entire life. Maybe I honestly I didn’t I I didn’t plan it to go this way. I was expecting to make some bad shots and have to like compensate in the video and be like, “Okay, now I just need to keep my cool.” But maybe taking that mental load off me has enabled me to have a hole like this. That was fantastic. We’re going to play a few more holes. I’m going to keep you updated um as we go through uh the golf course what my score is, but right now it is looking good. Hey, Sidekick Golf. Was this for break 100 or break 90? No, basically, okay, we have absolutely smashed the front nine. So, I’ll give you a score update. Right. So, we had double bogey. Started with double, not bad. Then bogey, then par. Fantastic from us. And then we had an absolute explosion. Had a quad bogey, but then we followed up good with par bogey parie. Absolutely fantastic. We’re eight over going into the back nine. This is the best score of my entire life. I honestly thought this video would go a bit different where I’d be like kind of like fighting to break it, having some bad shots as always, but for some reason I’m playing out of my mind. The strategy, it really does work. We’re going to play the back n now. I’ll keep you updated. And yeah, let’s go. This is a a par five. And yeah, hopefully just going to pump a drive down the middle and on the way to see if we can smash that 100 score today with the psychic golf method. Okay, again doing the strategy, playing to the shots I have. I was really aiming down the left there, but my shots for this couple of last couple of weeks are coming out to the right. So, it just came out to the right of the fairway. So, playing with what I got. Let’s go. That’s a good start to the back nine. Okay, so we’ve still got more than 220 yards in to the green. But the thing is, am I able to guarantee that I can stripe a fivewood? No. Am I able to guarantee or almost guarantee that I can kind of hit a sevenwood at least up into the fairway and not lose the ball? Yes. So, that’s the strategy again. Seven iron, the the club I trust going up into the fairway closer to the hole. Oh, that was a bit chunky that which cut a bit of the distance of it, but I’m very happy with that shot. Okay, so obviously we didn’t get really close to the green as if I would have done if I took a fivewood, which I would have done if I was playing normally and probably would have went into the trees somewhere. Um, so it’s a safe shot, but now I’ve got a kind of safe shot in. I might end up in that bunker, but that’s all right. Um, and just taking that pitching wedge now. It’s about 110 yards in, so hopefully this method’s going to pay off. Woo! Just on the back of the green. I connected with that pretty well. Okay, that’s really nice. Basically a green and rag. I’m well happy with how this is going today. So happy. I don’t know. Like I think the safest option for me here, there’s not much of this rough left and it’s pretty clean rough. I might just putt it not to destroy my chance of getting a par here. So, in the spirit of the round, I’m going to put it. I’m going to play it safe. I’m going to put a See, I gave it a bit too much. A bit too much. But I could have thinned that into the uh into the bunker. So, safe shot. Right. And now for the power part. Oh, I’ve missed it. Oh my god. No. Oh no. Oh, I’ve missed the pokey part. Oh my god. All right. This is why we’re high handicappers. Jeez. All right. Double double bogey. Maybe we’re still on to break 100. Okay. So, we’ve actually been kicked off the back nine because the course is closing. But on those holes, I got, as you’ve seen, double and then bogey bogey. Um, so I was definitely on to break a 100. This method is insane. Uh is I was on for the score of my life. If you want to see me hit the score of my life, probably it’s in the next video. So, hit subscribe, like, comment if I’m missing anything, if you think there’s any other tactics I can apply as well to get even better scores being a high handicapper. Um but yeah, Sidekick Golf. I’ll put the link in the channel. I’ll put the link to the video I watched of his as well. And yeah, massive thanks to everybody for watching this video. Like and subscribe and we’ll catch you in the next

Fantastic, I’ve been watching sidekick for ages! He certainly knows his stuff. Thanks for the video! Subbed
You broke one of his major rules. Never count your score at the turn.
The Greg Norman impression was on point.
Playa
The way of the playa is the way
YouTube tip …. Talk with ya hands a bit more it’s memorising
Even tho we’re not pga professionals still can’t ground the club in the sand before our shots.
Waddaplaya!
Congrats. But a 24HCP that does not break 100…? That math ain't mathing is it? 😜
I have not played much golf in 15 years after a back injury. I started playing back in April. I have played 8 rounds in 3 months. I have not shot above 100 yet.
Breaking 100 is not that tough.
When you know you know
All his tips work,. But to break 80 and lower his tips alone is not enough, you need to be skillful in some shots and you should not double chip and triple putt
what a playa 👏
Great vid, great mental state, super golf. Subbed.
Pro-amateur tip. Short put? Take out the flag and just play it a little firmer into the back side of the cup. Money!
First hole you get 1 penalty shot for grounding the club in the bunker
