I don’t think the second half could start off much better. Even just a week ago, the Houston Astros had a six game lead in the west. The Mariners have cut that in half. You look at this series coming out of the break. It was important. And so far the Mariners have taken care of business. They won the series trying to get sweep. The lead is now three Seattle Mariners have taken the field and it’s Brian Wu on the mound. He’s 8 to 4/8 in the A L with a 2.75. Er A in 18 starts 114 and two thirds innings. Two out of the bases empty for Caratini who was very good last night on base four times. Does it again? A base hit into right field? Caratini coming off a three hit game last night was on base five times and he’s on base here to start in the first good swing from Victor about a lot of fastballs being thrown. So, go ahead and sit on one it right back up the middle. Here’s Christian walker 2 to 4 last night, a couple of runs batted in the swing and a mess tied him up with a two seamer down and in walker strikes out the first for Wu and the side is retired and after a half inning in Seattle Astros Mariners coming up, Hunter Brown who makes his 20th start 2.43 is that, er, a, the last couple of starts haven’t gone well for Hunter Brown looking to change things here against Seattle where he’s had success. He’s given up 10 runs in the last 11 innings. It’s good for an 8.18 a in the last two starts. JP Crawford to lead things off. Had his 15 game hitting streak snapped last night. That’s called to the top of the zone. A little delayed call by T JP Crawford’s been called out on some tough pitches the last two days as he is strikeout victim. Number one for Hunter Brown. Nice fastball at the top of the zone or up out of it, depending on how you look at it. But, and the Anderson strike zone says it’s up out of there. Crawford gets run up so one out and nobody on for Julio Rodriguez right handed, hitting center fielder, got him, went back to the cutter to get julio Rodriguez back to back case for hunter Brown. Here in the inning two away here is Cal Raley, plenty of strikeouts this year from Astros pitchers broke his bat loops one into center. Can’t quite get there as Raley has his bat split in half and ends up with a looping base hit to center. He got destroyed. It looked like maybe a four seam fastball out off the outside. Raley went for, got it off the end of the bat just destroyed lumber but it goes down a hero by giving up a base hit. Rose did not homer last night. That snapped his streak of three straight games with a home run. He is homered however, in 10 of his last 15 games and he got a Rose arena challenge him with 99 at the top of the zone. Three strikeouts for a Hunter in the first inning. He looks very good in his first start. Post all star break. Diaz leads it off some good power from Diaz 13 home runs this year, does he? Yes he does. Chas is that sweeper and Diaz, there’s that number one second strikeout for w five of the strikeouts are last out against the Yankees were against lefties , but this pitch was nasty against some of the righties they had in that lineup. Cooper Hummel laces this out to left fielder. Rosena makes the catch belt high. Randy off of the crack of the bat makes a nice running catch one out. Nobody on for Luke Raley left handed hitting first baseman batting 229. Got him. Power bomb Raley does not enjoy facing Hunter Brown now. Zero for 10 with six strikeouts. That’s four strikeouts. For hunter today, 98 again through the, the anderson strike zone for a big night for Canzone in game two. Last night, he was on base three times had a two run, double strike three called Canzone called look. That is strikeout number five for Hunter Brown and that’s it for the Mariners in the second. We go to the top of the third Astros will send up 91 two to the plate here in the third inning beginning with Shay Wcom been up and down with Sugarland in a a this year strike three called out the corner, not happy about it, but it was there again that you can see. Mitch Garver wants it up in the strike and doesn’t matter. 96 paint down and away one out. Nobody on for Cam smith. He got a swing and a miss upstairs and Ron was doing a similar attack plan and Then all of a sudden you have to protect against this right here. One of the best spot, the top of the strike zone, plenty of swing and miss no score. Bottom of the third Mariners looking for the sweep against the Astros. Hunter Brown has been a razor sharp five strikeouts. Here’s the pitch to master a base hit in the right field by master Mariners. Number nine hitter is aboard as the line of card turns over Julio batting runner at first the pitch and on the hands of ground ball, Dub-n circles it only throws to first in time. Julio’s saying I don’t think so. Mariners film room will take a look. It’s close. Seattle challenging the out call at first base. The call, the fields overturned , the runners safe. Seattle retains a shot. Both runners take off the throw to third tag and the ball is dropped. Mattone is safe but double steal by the Mariners, I mean, very aggressive with Hunter Brown on the mound. Yeah. And this is a situation like I know he’s been good all year long but maybe a little bit of frustration with that infield hit Cal Raley still leading the majors in Homers. 99. Well outside and Cal Raley draws a walk and he loads him up. Oh, here’s Jorge Polanco who has never hit a grand slam line right field base hit Mattone is in to score. Julio sprints around third. The throw not nearly in time he scores standing. Jorge Polanco pushes two across for the Mariners and they take a third. Now, what a good at bat right there. He had the two breaking balls he found and all of a sudden he’s hunting that fastball cheated a little bit and he is at his best. He is hitting line drives finding the outfield grass and pitches just like that. Staying up the middle to rock field huge at bat with two outs against hunter Brown. One of the game’s best. It’s two big runs. Here is luke Raley got him. Raley continues to struggle against hunter two strikeouts today. Now zero for 11 with seven strikeouts but Jorge Pacco the big swing and now it’s two nothing Seattle. Here’s Mitch Garver. He singled his first time. The pitch that’s inside and hits him. We saw some team, both teams with this agreement last night. A couple Astros were hit, they were barking at the Mariners. The Mariners were barking back that brings up julio, the chopper up the middle. Duvan cannot get there. Here comes Garver around third base to score RB I base hit Julio Rodriguez. It’s a 30 Mariners lead and we talked about some of the secondary pitches all of a sudden Hunter Brown tries to bust julio in you. You’re going to see plenty of this. That’s the smile you like to see that is ball four leadoff walk in the top of the fifth and that’s the first walk given up by Wu on the ground to second Polanco underhand toss to Crawford in the turn. Not in time. Cooper able to beat the relay throw. So they get the fielder’s choice for the Astros with runners on 1st and 3rd and 1 out. So now Shay Wickham who struck out looking a chance at an RB I little looper shallow left going back, Crawford makes no, he dropped, it had an opportunity to make the catch and he couldn’t come in up with it. And the scores Taylor Trammell that was not a ball that normally Crawford would let drop. It looked like it hit him in the glove just bricked it. Astros being able to pick up that run and now it’s a 3 to 1 game and back to the top of the order for Cam Smith hit pretty well to right field back. Goes can zone near the wall bounces off the wall around. Third comes Hummel right behind him. Is Shay Wickham. The throw safe is humble safe is what a slide it’s tied at three. Wickham trailed in there ahead of the tag of Mitch Garver. How did he get around? Mitch Garver looked like he was right in the middle of the running lane, didn’t have a chance on Hummel but originally had that ball. It felt like long enough to be able to go out there and get Shane WW evading that tag at home plate beautifully. That was incredible. Middle third of the order for the Astros. It starts with christian walker. Christian walker delivers a deep drive to left and the Astros have their first lead of the day off the roof of the Astros bullpen in left field and it’s a 43 Houston lead center cut sinker smash to left field. We’ve got Skywalker in Flight an afternoon delight. He tramel a walk and a run scored in the fifth. He’s also flied out. Tramel hits it pretty well to right field. Watch this one go. Taylor Chael his second home run in the Astros uniform. His first on the road as he points out to the bullpen as he and christian Walker hit home runs here in the sixth inning. Big swings in this inning off of ryan. Here’s Miles Masone, a single and a walk today. This is off the bag. Matt Stone offs a base hit. He is getting back to first base and he couldn’t roll it any better. Hits this ball. Well, on the left center field going over Cooper Hummel off his glove, Taylor Tramel brings it back in Mattone being waved home. The throw by, that was a great relay for Mauricio put it right in the basket of Janer Diaz safe at home plate is the call and said, let’s look at that. What a throw byDub-n. Dub-n. If he didn’t get him, there’s nothing more he could have done at home. How about the fact Tramel hustled over there to back up Cooper Hummel who put a great effort into it and did that foot get on before the tag field. He’s overturn the runners out. Great play by the Astros Casey Legeno will take over on the hill for the Mariners. He pitched in the game last night. He was great. Face Whitcomb here batting ninth and there is a base hit to left field. Shay Whitcomb inserted into the starting lineup. He’s spot on base for the second straight time. It’s going to be a walk good job by Altuve after being down 02, fouling off a lot of pitches, Guini climbs in there is a base hit in the left center field that’ll score a run. Shay Whitcombe scores his second run of the day. Altuve to third Astros lead 6 to 3. Victor Caratini, the RB I base hit Jer shoots one to right field back goes Raley, he’s going to make the catch but tagging at third is altuve. He’s going to score. That’s a sack fly for the Astros in a 7 to 3 lead. Janer Diaz drives in the run here with two outs. Now, still runners on 1st and 2nd 2 outs. Now for Taylor Chael with a lot of guys contributing this ball struck well to center field. Rodriguez couldn’t make the play. He got turned around. That’s going to score two. The Astros lead 9 to 3. Taylor Trammell puts one over the head of J Rod and the Astros with a huge seventh inning. Couple of well hit baseballs for Taylor Tramel but he spun Julio Rodriguez a couple of times and he couldn’t recover. Pattern is open in the no fly zone. Chas mccormick will lead it off. Mccormick entered the game in the bottom of the seventh inning in center field with Taylor Trammell shifting over to left. So mccormick’s batting a little tapper past the mound. Chaz has a chance and he’s going to reach Chas mccormick puts the ball just past the mound for an infield hit to knock Chaz’s first big league hit since May two outs for Altuve Chaz on the move and altuve punches one to the right side for a base hit mccormick heading to third. He will be held up there. Altuve heading to second and throw comes home. The throw was not to where the runner was trying to go advance from first to second. Chaz had already been held up and J Rod made the throw home so altuve easily into second with a double. Here’s Caratini with two outs and second and third. That one to the left center field and over is a Rosa Arena. Can’t make the play two more runs will score a Rose. Arena loses his glove. Caratini in the second with a double. It’s now 11 to 3 Astros, Caratini two more RBS done. Victor Astros continuing to roll here this last game in Seattle last of the ninth Astros with an 11 to 3 lead in Seattle and ryan Gusto on to try and get the three out Mariners down to their final out and the batter is Randy Rose Arena who’s zero for three. He’s been hit by a pitch, Paul Sky to left field. All the way back is Chas mccormick and Taylor Tramel makes the catch at the wall and that will do it on a Sunday afternoon as the Astros salvage a game in this series a big win 11 to 3. They score the final 11 runs in the game. And Blumer, that’s about as much needed a win as the Astros have had all year.

If Astros were remotely healthy, I can’t imagine we lose this series! As it was, we came damn near close to taking it if we had pulled out the extra inning squeaker yesterday.
I'm glad to see the Houston Space Cowboys won against the Mariners and avoided a sweep. Keep it going!!
No matter where he plays VC is a pain in the neck
Astros avoid a sweep in Seattle.
The Trashstros got lucky
No way, M's lost?
Thanks Astros from a Red Sox fan.
I SURE HOPE THE MILWAUKEE BREWERS CAN REPLICATE WHAT THE ASTROS DID TODAY TOO THE MARINEERS ON JULY 21ST THRU THRU THE 23RD .!!!!!! DODGERS ARE GOING ,DOWN,DOWN, DOWN !!! JUST LIKE THE LAKERS !!!!👈👉😂😂😂❗❗👍👍🖐✌👈👉👌🐸
Woooooo ! 😮
Not exactly the kind of loss you want to see, but the fact that Seattle still took the series two out of three is still better than anticipated.
bad defense and terrible pitching
This game's defense by both teams was terrible. There were so many mistakes, and the Astros were the ones who took advantage of them. I realize the players are only human, but for the money they make, wow!! They all need a cut in pay for this game. 🇨🇦
휴스턴의 차임새와 12:55 팀웍은 역시 무섭다. 야구 할줄 아는 팀.
After battling in an 11 inning loss last night and Hunter Brown not making it through 4 innings and the Astros leading all of baseball with the total number of players on the IL, at 16. The Astros didn't appear to me as a team without fight or one that just throws in the towel. If the Astros are capable of doing this at their most hobbled state, then just wait until they get back at full strength. You can count to three all you want but the Astros will keep kicking out. GO STROS.
Mariners really took a dive
Showing the same sequence FOUR times! Are you kidding me?
Houston better watch out for the Mariners.
太空人隊贏球了 我的心裡好爽啦 😂😂🤣🤣
I hate the Astros
mitch garvey fails the name consistently, get him off the team
The Houston AAA Space Cowboys hear a full strength Mariners team !!😂😂
i thought i was watching a rockies game for a sec the way houston defense was looking td sheesh😂
What a win, best game of the month!
no one expecting to be slugging like this against woo
What was going on with M's defense in this game.
I can totally see Ken Griffey Jr. snatching that flyball in centerfield..SMH damn Jr. was Awesome! And at shortstop A-rod or Vizquel tracking down that flyball..these Seattle guys blow at Defense but it really doesnt matter when you give up double digits.
Their fans only show up on mass after a win. Pathetic bandwagon team
7:13 After that play, it felt like the Mariners simply fell flat. The mood instantly changed and it cost them a sweep of the Astros… which they really needed to have. Just picking up a single game isn't that great. It helps, but not a massive turnaround. If they don't win the division, this game and the Walker Walkoff in Houston will be the reasons why.
Horrible coaching today. When the ball stops breaking, the pitcher is done.
Besbol🇺🇲⚾️
The Braves need to hire the batting coaches from these teams. Lol
Mariners are sickening. Three run lead in the 5th looking to sweep their #1 rival, then turn around and get demolished. 🤨
Awesome win Astros
Nice win Astros!
It's hard to believe those Mariner Outfielders are Pros they played like little leaguers.
LFG stros🔵🟠 way to avoid the sweep!
Nice outfield defense Seattle.
Stros are back
Glad the Mariners won the series but ngl that was a pretty embarrassing L for game 3.
This is a weakened Astros team. Mariners should be able to sweep but once again
they dropped the ball. Now they go on to face a rather hot Brewers team.
Can't be goofing around like that. We need to stop Milwaukee in its tracks.
That ump is a joke. He looks like he's got an ego thing goin' on.
Ump missed a great moment for a double safe emote 7:50. Just a basic safe call for a hype play
Go Astros
Diaz would swing at a cutoff throw
Julia Fraudriguez strikes again. I guess he wasn't smiling anymore at the end of the game. 😂
