Mets Cardinals, David Peterson leading the Mets out in their Friday black uniforms. Fourth start of the season for the Mets big lefty. He just trying to continue what’s been going on with his starting staff. Victor scott will lead off against David Peterson swinging away into center field over is Taylor one down baker seven out of 25 at the plate so far this year, no home runs, but he’s got big power. Here’s the 21 into center field and two outs both made by Tyrone Taylor to start off the night. Third batter up Wilson Contreras Contreras, the only Cardinal who has ever seen David Peterson in the regular season before. And yeah, that, I don’t think that’s a direct, it’s minecraft night. Right. That’s right. So I missed strike three. Got him with the slider. A successful 123 inning for Peterson Mets coming up. You look at the, er, a right now. It’s three starts in, he had a really tough against Boston where he gave up eight earned runs, right. So you’re trying to get to get down from there, but you’re right. He mixed it up very well, especially the second half against the Phillies got more swing and Miss had 11 swing and misses after only two against the Red Sox. I hear the temptations in the background with my girl and that means Francisco Lior is about to lead off the last of the first inning for the Mets seven for 17 against Michael popped him up. So JC at short drifts out, Victor Scott the second lost his cap but finds the baseball and in left field he makes the play for out number one. Soto last night, zero for three with a walk. He hit the ball hard two times to both of the opposite field. A slow roller hit to at first should be easy and is SOTO is out on soft contact for out number two, Alonzo, a rare zero for last night went 0 to 4 with a strikeout prior to last night had two hits in three straight games including two doubles and a home run. What a start to the year for the Mets first baseman, fly ball center field that is off the wall and it’ll be extra bases for Alonso thinks about rounding second and there he goes, Pete Alonso trying for a triple and he’s in there sliding safely the first triple of the season for Pete Alonso. And the hot start for the polar bear continues. It’s to the left of the 408 sign hanging slider. He’s lucky he didn’t pull it that right there. In that little angle. That’s the deepest part of the park and that is off the base of the wall. And when good hitters are hot, when they catch a mistake, they don’t miss it and Pete is not missing any mistakes right now. So the Mets have a chance with two outs. Here is Jesse Winker swings and he drives it to right field right to Walker, making the catch at high Winker lines out sharply. Alonso at third after one, no score in New York. He is leading the National league batting 373. He’s on a 13 game hitting streak. All right back through the box. It’s a 14 game for Donovan. He was right on that. So his second hit of the series starts something in the ST Louis second. Here’s Jordan Walker walker over his last five and he gets him with the slider two down, second strike out of the night, but two away, Thomas will try to move Donovan off first base and that continues. He almost picked off Donovan with a single the other way. So the Cardinals have runners 1st and 3rd good piece of hitting for who’s playing in place of Mason win and they have their first two hits of the game here in the second and Pedro is next ground ball that’s through for a hit. What a piece of hitting by Pages. The Cardinals score first three singles in the second inning. It’s one to nothing ST Louis, this is perfect sinker down and away but with Beatty faded up the middle sneaks right through Ciani. The number nine hitter left hand batter Peterson deals and a slow hit bouncer towards first to his right Alonso fields. It flips to Peterson covering just in time to get the speedy Ciani and that retires the side never want as he ######es at the ball to walk the leadoff hitter , they invariably seem to score each and every time. So here’s Tyrone Taylor ninth batter in the lineup tonight for the Mets. There goes beat the throw by pa not in time. So Brett Beatty after his first walk of the season, he swipes his first bag of the season. Mets have a runner in scoring position, broken bat pop and caught it short by. So JC so Taylor can’t advance the runner, Michael is a good pitch, good result and back to the top in gets another pop up, scott, the second broke back now comes in big pitch and back to back outs with a runner at second base. You can, you can hear it grumbling and, and so comes up with people anticipating that I feel that they’re urging him very nicely done. Nice support. Soto just three for his last 30 has an opportunity and he grounds it to the right side, right to Contreras who takes it himself, Beatty gets to second base, he’s there with nobody out and the Mets can’t even move him. Let’s see if the Cardinals with the heart of their order can add to the lead with Donovan and Walker coming up on the ground diving stop takes a long time to load and overshoots. Pete Alonso and Arenado kept on chugging down the first base line. Never saw the ball go to the dugout netting and he’ll be at first with an infield hit Brendan Donovan who extended his hitting streak his first time slow roller right side. Alonso is going to turn and fire to second. That’s all the Mets will get. Not an easy play, but Alonso makes it look so and gets the lead runner for the first out and here comes the pitch to walker. It’s Lowe and it gets away throw to second base on one hop and it’s not handled at the bag by the second baseman Beatty if he catches it. I think Donny’s out, I think he’s out but he moves up on the wild pitch and he hits it that way and it’s passed Alonso into right field and Donovan is going to come home and score. Walker hits it the other way and the Cardinals extend their lead and the wild pitch set up the opportunity to extend the lead. So with two outs, it’s 1st and 3rd and luis Tons trying to cash in for the Mets to get him on the scoreboard. Breaking ball, froze him, strike three top of the zone. Miles Michaelis has his first strikeout and that’s a biggie and the Nets strand two more. Scott swings and misses a pitch down and away and strikes out for the second time. Here’s another strikeout strikeout number eight for David Peterson. His season high is nine. It is in there called strike three. David Peterson, his ninth strikeout of the night that ties a season high. It’s 8 to 9 to 1 for the Mets here, Beatty Taylor and Lio once again looking for a big hit in this game, they’re 0 to 5 with men in scoring position. That one is smoked down the right field line and that will be extra bases for Brett Beatty Beatty in standing at second with a leadoff double as brett Beatty showing signs of life here over the last week. So here’s Tyrone Taylor with an opportunity swinging first pitch that’s down for a base hit and that will score the game’s first run. It gets past the center fielder. Siani going to second is Taylor Hill around 2nd and 3rd easily standing up. So an RB I hit for Taylor scores and the Mets in business here in the fifth. It’s 2 to 1. Here’s Francisco looking to tie things up blackwall shallow right field walker coming in makes the grab Taylor. Yeah, there’s one down when you look at this, a standing ovation for juan Soto as the Mets fans try to urge for their big free agent signing on imploring him to drive in the tying run and that’s through for a base hit. Juan Soto rewards the Mets faithful and ties the game with the RB I base hit. Well, I got to say that Juan needed that one. Let’s see if the 345 men for the Cardinals can mount to rally here and get the lead back in the third base dugout. Here it starts with wilson Contreras who is zero for two. that one off the end of the bat hammered to left Nimmo on the run. Still going can’t get it. The ball just exploded off the middle of the warning track and Contreras with a leadoff double. Here’s right of batting Nolan Arenado, that’s Hammer to left and that’s down for a base hit is going to handle on a third bounce. Contreras streaking home arena gets him over and in with his second hit of the night and the Cardinals take the lead, the Cardinals lead 3 to 2 with back to back hits by Contreras and Arenado. The new pitcher is kyle Leahy’s off to a great start for the Cardinals facing Mark Vientos to lead off in the sixth into left field. Going back is scott at the track at the wall. It’s Vientos to back Knights with a home run. This one ties the game at three. It is his second home run in this series. His first two homers of the year. He’s now hit in six straight games and the Vientos Renaissance appears to be underway. Bottom eight. Mark Vientos had the game tying home run in the sixth inning. Scorched into left center field that’s down for a base hit and Mark Vientos with a leadoff single here in the eighth. Vientos will be taken down. Looks like luis Angel is going to come on and pitch run definite base base stealing threat here and here is Brandon Nemo and there goes a the throw from Paz not in time. Luis swipes the bag and the Mets have the lead run in scoring position. Ground ball. Arnao backing up on the backhand and he comes off the bag and tagged out looks like they are challenging it. So luis on, he, he might have got back in there before the tag tag came about underneath right armpit. The umpire is right on top of the play. Nolan just did tag him on the armpit before the right hand snuck back in right there. That’s the way we see it. Let’s see if central sees it the same way. Tell you what this is very, very close. And remember the call win in the Cardinals favor. That is a big deal here at this point because is there conclusive evidence to overturn this? Yeah. Yeah. So Nimmo on first base now and here is tons with one out there’s over, it gets by and Nimmo will get to second base ground ball, be it that will score the lead run around third. He’s in to score easily and luis Torrens with a double, gives the Mets the lead. It’s 4 to 3. And once again, Luis Torrens comes through with a big hit for the Mets a bit of a hanger there by Phil Maan and Torrens makes him pay and the Mets have taken the lead and Oscar Brazoban looking for his second career save second save of the season with Edwin Diaz down tonight. About what a week for starts the game on Wednesday and here looking for the save on Friday one strike to count on Donovan. Donovan has a hit tonight. A 14 game hitting streak. He swings and hits a drive deep right field. That’s Garner a home run for Donovan tying the game at four. The Cardinals had an answer. The Mets took the lead in the bottom of the eighth and Donovan ties it up in the ninth. It actually hit the pole next to the screen in right field. My goodness, his third home run. He scored three runs tonight and now the Cardinals have tied the game 44. What a game back and forth, back and forth. Oh, he’ll hope ryan Fernandez has his a plus stuff and helps us force extra innings. Ryan Fernandez has been throwing the ball way better the last couple of times out eight games so far. Number nine here, Soto Alonso due up for the Mets, the stage is set all we need now is cue the music. The Mets have had one walk off win so far this season, that first home series of the year against Toronto Francisco Lior with a sack fly wins had two walk off home runs in his career. Both coming for Cleveland. That should do it. It’s gone. Is it off his first walk off home run in a Mets uniform? And this place is going wild on a Friday night. Put it in the books, francisco with a game winning home run on. No Doubter as he hits it several rows back into the upper deck in right field. The Coca Cola corner, Lindor’s second home run of the year. The Mets have won the ball game 5 to 4. Well, that’s career home run number 250 to the music.

MVP LINDOR
Hearing the cardinals broadcast try to sugarcoat Fernandez's 7.7 era in 7 innings pitched right before hanging a meatball into the upper deck is the summary of our season thusfar, if the rest of you havent been following StL
Even with the "racist (?) Call from 3B umpire to Acuña, METS WON? 😮😮😮 Amazing Mets.
That curveball went over the umpires head 😂
Francisco Lindor king of New York look out Judge, Soto and Alonzo
This sport same as cricket 😮
New York Mets will be the World Series champion this year.
When Steve Cohen signed Lindor to that contract, it was one of the biggest ever at that time. That contract is pennies on the dollar today seeing the size of the contracts these MLB Superstars are getting, not to mention the fact that Lindor has outplayed that contract. He truly is AMAZING, just like our METS. 😁LGM!!!!
Ese Palo de Lindor cayó en San Juan diablo
