A magical major season comes to the end with a 69 here leaves Rory Maroy 10 under par. So many special moments in 2025, but that walk up 18. Family, friends, the adoring fans watching them, just what did that moment mean? Yeah, it did. It meant a lot. Um, you know, I’ve I’ve had uh an unbelievable week here, you know, just the support. Um, you know, it it it means the world to me and and to be, you know, to be coming back home with, you know, the season that I’ve had and, you know, the success that I’ve that I’ve had. Um, you know, it’s I really wanted to try to enjoy this week as much as I could. And I, you know, I did for as much as I could apart from, you know, being more in contention today to try to get the win. But, um, yeah, absolutely incredible week. You know, I’ve, you know, the reception I got on 18 there today and every day. um you know that’ll that’ll stay with me for a long time. You you look quite emotional. Do you sometimes have to Has it been hard this week sometimes to kind of keep it in check given given what this week means? Yeah. Um yes and no. Um I feel like I’ve done a good job of just really trying to keep my mind on the on the task at hand. Um but yeah, I mean I did allow myself a moment walking up the last there to to try to soak it all in. And um you know I I said this last time, but uh you know I you know this this place these people mean so much to me and um for that to feel reciprocated um you know that that means a lot. So no, it’s it’s been an incredible week. I wish I could have been a little bit closer going into today and and maybe given given it a bit more of a run, but um you know I’m you know I’m I’m pretty happy with the week’s work and you know hats off to Scotty. He’s he’s been in on a you know a different level this week um a different level for you know most of the the past couple of years and you know he’s very deserving champion. Rory is such a great player but Scottie is like a machine.
This could be the greatest rivalry of Rory’s career. I would love to see Rory up his game to the next level.
Rory has nothing else to prove in my opinion, Scottie is setting crazy levels lately but he could do a Jordan Spieth, remember Jordan from 2015-2017/2018, he was almost unbeatable and look at him now although he made mistakes changing his swing etc

Hey, let's interview the guy who finished 7th.
Rory needs a new a caddie. His club and shot selection are often questionable. On Saturday, the long par 3 he tries to drawer a 5 iron in and misses down the hillside. Scottie hits 4 iron into the heart of the green.
We all know Rory is a great player but can someone please explain to him what fairways are and we don't need him to keep giving us tours of the rest of course surrounding holes. He would become more consistent and less frustrating.
