The first series of the second half of the season for the Nats. They welcome in the San Diego Padres to the nation’s capital for a three game weekend series by the way, three games, two starts career against these guys 2 to 0 with an 06 start on the year three at seven on the season. We see the 67 3rd innings. It’s a 116 whip. So you think about it. He is barely giving up hits, he’s barely giving up any walks. Fernando started the night at 260 nine and with a towering fly ball to Jacob. Why not start with a can of corn for our outstanding defensive center field. Well, here’s the hit machine known as luis or right side garcia sliding pumps up and throws and gets it over to Nathaniel Lowe and plenty of time. Nice play on the back hand side. Well, that’s what you love to see right out of the chute for the Nats as a second baseman coming out there fresh covering some ground. Here’s all star Manny Machado and Paul is scorched Abrams do his right. He’s gonna love his old organization right there. Why not a two hopper over to first fly ball to center and Then good plays for by both middle infield, hard hit ball, get up on your feet and just scoot it over there. Oh, change up. No big deal. And Dylan see this was the scene of the no hitter, July 25th last year. Hopefully it’s a good feeling for him. Gets a good feel for his pitches tonight. 20th start of the year. CJ Abrams top of that lineup is shortstop that said he just struck out CJ Abrams on a slider. So maybe it’s back. We’ll talk more about that, what it done because it seems like you talk about it and it comes to fruition right one down here in the first inning for James Wood. Yes he did. He does go around and strikes out back to back case to start the night for two down two down here in the first inning for Luis Garc-a Junior swing and a Miss. Oh yeah. Oh yeah. Here we go right out of the game. The clean up guys, Sango’s Gavin sheets strike three called over the outside corner, locked him up. That was a fastball right on the edge. And Soroka has strikeout number one, Jackson Merrill, the center fielder. This is line to right and a base hit Jackson Merrill with the one out single to right field, first hit of the night for San Diego. So one down Merrill at first and here is Andre Bogaerts and a ground ball to third by the diving third baseman House into left field. Merrill will hit for third throw goes to second and the Padres have something going with one away here in the second innings who is really hot before the break keeps it going here after the break. Cronenworth now standing in Bogart takes off for second. The throw, they do make it and it is picked by Abrams but a stolen base for Xander Bogaerts. Great RB I opportunity for jake right here in the air to left field back goes wood. Still going. It’ll take him to the warning track. He makes the catch tagging at third base and scoring is Merrill tagging and moving to third base is Bogaerts on the sack fly for cronenworth. He took it a long way the other way and picks up the RB I in the sack fly and the Padres pick up the game’s first run. So two down Bogaerts at third and Trenton brooks, that’s hard hit right there. Garcia, they’re sending an inside target two hits a second with a steal one. San Diego. Josh Bell, one of many former Padres faces Dylans first pitch crack toward the cap in right center field chasing over and it is Tati, he has to play it on a bounce, he’ll pick it up on a hop and josh Bell has the nationals first hit against Dylans ever in this ballpark. Here’s a clean shaven Nathaniel Lowe and he chases the 98. That’s the fourth strikeout for Dylan’s Brady House with the runner on first and a ball ripped to the left side for a base hit Brady House. Now, seven of his last eight games with at least one and the Nationals have two out in the bottom of the frame. Fly ball center field, Jackson Merrill in a step maybe two over one and he makes the catch for out. Number two, puts it in the air and flies out for the second out of the inning. Here’s Riley Adams the catcher and he elevates and strikes out Adam and the in the fifth strike out for the second in junior starts his fourth inning with a single to center field. Here’s the challenge for because it’s been an issue for him this season is pitching out of the stretch with runners on the numbers very lopsided. Here’s a full count to be is running pitches, a strike throw down there. He is going to be out. It’s a strike him out, throw him out double play out of work that job by Elias Diaz firing down there after the strike out of Bell two down here in the fourth inning and Nathaniel low swing and a foul tip held on to by Diaz for strike 399 mile an hour fastball back to back one. Pat leads off top of the fifth inning. Boogaerts pulls one softly but pretty well. Placed James stretching. Yes, sir. An all star defensive play by our young slugger at perfect timing. Look at him, get low 67 and get all the way down like he did. What a job by James Wood. And that’ll be Michael’s first walk tonight. A two hour walk is something that’s an issue for the Nats just in general this year. Two walks with two outs. It’s a rough ride there for Michael SGA, two out walks and here’s Tati, he’s zero for two and he gets him to pop up the very first pitch. Riley Adams fair ball when he caught it. And that’s it. One down here in the fifth for D Lee. A strike three gets him looking at the knees with the knuckle curve. Ninth strikeout brought it back on the outside corner. That’s a beautiful pitch right there two down in the fifth for Riley Adam swinging the in, strikes him out. That’s 10 strikeouts for Dylan C second time. Riley Adams is down by way of the K goes to the slider to strike out Adams. That’s 10 top six Michael Soroka is done. Mason Thompson was drafted by the Padres in the third round. Nine years ago. Machado hit in two times up, hard hit Garcia with a good spear to his left. Everybody just hopping these throws over to Nathaniel Lowe two out. Here’s Gavin sheets who Soroka struck out twice and another two out walk by the nets. So Mason Thompson to go two thirds with one walk chafe in the lefty against Merrill, the center fielder and a miss. That’s what lefties are supposed to do against left handed good situational appearance by the crafty federate injured Jacob Young aboard with hit number four top of the order Abrams to right center field over goes Fernando and he will get there makes the catch Bill. The K for the first out here in the sixth inning. Here comes mike Schilt 94 pitches for Dylan C and that will be the night. That’s a good night in the big leagues for the right hander Dylan C. He may not get a no hitter tonight, but he has still been dominant. Has been ridiculous in this ballpark now, he has struck out 28 batters in his last 21 innings. Garcia into the game. He’s been around making his major league debut back in 2013 as a Philly two base runners, Bogaerts at third. Cronenworth at first with one away Pope again and garcia will tag out the runner a run will score. So not electing to come home. He could have had a, didn’t even look at home plate right two down for Fernando. Good job of jam right on the hands. Got out of the box. Padres had one. Let’s stretch. Well, this is big two on nobody at Brady House now to right field at fernando who will make the catch to hang it second inning for third is Bell. The throw is going to be close and Bell is out nice throw from right field by fernando and they throw out Bell fernando with the one hop strike to Manny Machado and Bell slides right into the tag second hit of the night for Jacob Young. How the nationals get the chance with the tying run at the plate with CJ Abrams. Abrams right center. See you. This game is tied starting the second half with a huge game time on the chain. The Nats have runners at the corners. Nathaniel Lowe in what’s now a 2 to 2 game in the bottom of the eighth? They’ll take it off for second base. Nobody covering and now they are , they got him in a run into the end of the inning. He took off too early. Nobody was covering at second but Then he stopped running. He would have made it but the Padres get out of the jam. Third, nobody out. And a Diaz now coming up, Padres trying to push across the go ahead run. Squaring gets it down. Here comes cronenworth. He will score. Beautiful. The safety squeeze dropped down there by Diaz and the Padres take the 32 lead. Andres have the bases loaded and that gives manny a chance 12 grand slams on his resume. Machado hits in the air to left field back goes wide at the I am I a chance. First great slam of the year for the slam. Diego Padres. Manny Machado will touch them all. What’s not to love about Manny Machado that will bust it open bottom of the ninth inning Wandy Peralta going to try and finish this thing off down one on for Lyle up the middle and it’s going to be Bogart’s touching second fire to first double play to end the ball game 63 on the DP and a nice victory tonight. Good way to start this road trip.

Good, fundamental baseball.
Bell deserves to be left in the field all night long, facing the wall 🙃
There's more Padres fans in that stadium than Nats
Padres back now for good.
CUANDO VA A REGRESAR MICHAEL KING?

Bell gifted us 3 free outs. 3 massive outs as well.
Love seeing Finnegan and Bell do Finnegan and Bell things against my Padres. La Cheeserie!

Slam Slam Slam
Some great pitch selection from Tatis. Looks like Arraez has been giving him tips 🤦♂️😭
When Manny stepped up to the plate in the ninth, I whispered something like "homerun". But a grand slam by the probable future HOF'er? Yes! And then, the game was sealed for a win by the San Diego Padres.
We shouldn't gave CJ and wood out…..
Machado abusador 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Where are the Nats fans it's a home game on Friday show the team some support …
Let’s go Padres
Defintely looked like Bell tried to get himself out at second
Bell has no business running
Besbol⚾️🇺🇲
Josh Bell DFA .
Need Tatis to layoff those 2 seamers in on his hands.
What a laser from Tatis to Machado
Ay mi equipo, quiero tanto a este equipo… ❤
Fatboy Josh Bell is a complete idiot. He lied and said that he was trying to get into a rundown so that Wood could score from third. Total embarrassment.
Thirteen
Was at this game… Bell's running mistakes were more embarrassing in person than on tv
