Hey guys, welcome back to Modern Golf. Hope you’re having a great day and better week. Today we’re doing kind of a special um double feature, let’s say. So, I’ve been testing Sketchers shoes and apparel like this for the last god 3 months, four months, I want to say, and I want to give you kind of our feedback on their shoes and their apparel in all one review. I thought it’d be easier and simpler really for everyone involved. So, stay tuned because I’m telling you, Sketchers wants all the smoke. as the kids say, they are coming to take your money with their incredible shoes and apparel. So, first let’s talk about really the shoes. And I’m going to start with their higherend shoe first. Uh these are the Blade GF. Uh this is a very comfortable golf shoe. To me, has a very unique silhouette like the original Adidas Boost. I’m not saying these are copied off of Adidas Boost, but when I first look at the shoe, that’s what it reminds me of. The silhouette with the curved um heel counter and all that good stuff. So, let’s talk about this shoe. waterproof. Has this very cool and I’ll put pictures up. Very cool like hexagon hexagon uh membrane. Again, for sizing for these, go to your athletic shoe size. I’m a 9 and 1/2. I went 9 and 1/2. They fit flawlessly. These shoes broke in very easily. Uh walked the first time I wore these. Played nine holes and then again 18 and 18 and so on and so forth. Played them in wet and dry conditions and they’ve held up great. Very quick tour and I’ll just do this real quickly. Again, this very cool hexagon membrane around this shoe. Little Sketchers logo here. Just a little S around here. Um, the heel counter has plastic kind on both sides. One has the little S. We turn this around. It says I’ll tell you what it says. Sketcher slip-ins. Uh, again, a little padded heel um and achilles. Really like it. And you can see, I’ll put a picture up. There’s little perforations um regarding or little perforations on uh the heel and Achilles pad. They call this their echoflight system. Uh again, very comfortable shoe. These are slip-in. So I will tell you is yes. Can you slip in and out of them? Yes. But I if you are like me and you tie these so tight your feet go blue, uh it’s a little more difficult to slip them on and off. If you take if you tie them like a normal human being, yes, you can slip these on and off. Let’s talk about the spikes for these. Very different setup. Uh again, as you can see, two large spikes, two small spikes, and a million different uh rubber and plastic. These have been phenomenal. So, I know the questions are one, comfortability, very comfortable. I would say probably between an 8.5 and a 9.5 out of 10. Very comfortable. Stability, cuz that’s what a lot of you guys ask me. You can see the outrigger, and I’ll show you on both sides. Very stable golf shoe. I had no issues with anything whatsoever. breathability. I would say I would it’s probably between an eight and nine out of 10. It’s not the most breathable shoe, but again, it’s a waterproof shoe. This is kind of what we get. But again, really really like these shoes. Um this is a tour level shoe. This is not some um very inexpensive shoe. This is I’d say tour level incredible golf shoe. And these are the Blade. Uh I think they’re available in five different colors. I’ll put the colors up now. But really, really uh great shoes by Sketchers on these. The other shoes we’re talking about today are the Elite 6. And this was again a very comfortable golf shoe from the get-go. Very different silhouette, although the heel uh has the same kind of look as you can tell with this. This is not as shiny. Uh still waterproof. Uh still very comfortable. Still go with your standard size. If you’re 9 and 1/2, get a 9 and 1/2. Regarding narrow or wide, I don’t really find that these run either way. I don’t find that they run very narrow. I don’t find they run very wide. Just very true to size. Extremely comfortable shoe. Again, I walked I I always seem to walk when I play when I test these shoes. But again, not a shiny material here. This is white and navy and kind of I would call like a tropical looking blue. Uh you have the little Sketchers logo in here. A little softer obviously Achilles and heel counter here. Very squishable in this part. Very comfortable Achilles pad. Again, has a little SKX logo on this side, which I like. It’s kind of gives a little sporty kind of feel. These are also slip-ons. Again, so if you want to slip them on and off, if you don’t lace them up, like I mentioned earlier, like a lunatic like I do, yes, you can slip them on and off very easy. The system, the track system on this, the spike system is very different on these. I don’t know how many little different touch points there are, but you can see there’s a lot of touch points. So, these are kind of I would say like soft spikes, but like hard soft spikes because they’re not super You can hear it. Uh they’re not super soft. But again, very comfortable shoe. Stability is a little less on this shoe. Not by much. You can see on both sides. Uh comfortability, I would say, is right in line. Probably an 8 and 1 half to nine out of 10. Uh just like its older brothers. Very easy to put on. Had no issues with these. Uh again, had no issues regarding waterproofness. I wore these both in very wet climates as well as very dry. As you can see, there’s literally no grass where the other ones had a bunch of grass. Very comfortable golf shoes. Again, go true to size. I do not think you’ll have any issues with these. A bunch of different colorways. Again, I found these very comfortable to wear, especially on the first few wearings, which as you know, some shoes take a little while, but very comfortable. And again, these are the Elite 6. They come in a bunch of colors. I’ll put the colors up now. So, now let’s talk about their apparel. So, this is kind of the newest push with Sketcher. So, the Golf Line shoes have been out. They’ve been out for probably a decade already. They’re really now getting into, I would say, a higher caliber, better looking, better tour feeling kind of shoe, but now they’ve also gotten to apparel. So, this is one of their shirts. Uh, one thing, and I’ll show you guys here. You can kind of tell, they don’t have a lot of branding. Little branding here at the bottom. Their lengths of their polos, just for those uh, who are paying attention here. Uh, they’re on the shorter side. So, yes, they can be tucked in. I wore this tucked in. Um, and you can also obviously wear it not tucked in. Um, and again, price points are very good with this stuff. I think these are like around the $50 price point. Extremely well priced out. Very comfortable, very breathable. The only knock I would say is the neck’s a little big for me for a large. Uh, but that’s okay. I have about a 42 in chest and I wear a large. Uh, they also have some very cool colorways like this. I like this kind of beachy theme. And again, what you’ll notice, where’s the logo at? What you’ll notice is the logo is very uh minuscule. They don’t really brand a bunch of stuff everywhere, but very comfortable golfers shirts. I’ve worn this one a couple times. Worn this one a number of times. I also want to show you guys their pants real quick. And I’ll tell you why I like their pants is they have like an elastic, not a much but a little stretchable lining uh which I really really like. Again, these are pants tiny little Sketchers logo on here. Uh this is what they call their relaxed fit. I didn’t find them to be super relaxed fit. I went with my standard size. They ran a little big in the waist. Uh I think these are 34s. Uh and again, I don’t know if I think the only inseam they come in is 31 or 32. Uh so I had to get mine taken up a little bit. Um but again, these are navy. Very comfortable. The pockets um I come stitch closed. I did not open my pockets yet. Um but very comfortable. And again, I would say they run a little um big in the waist, not by much. And again, very, very breathable. Uh, I’ve worn these to golf and to work. And I think like a lot of us, if you’re going to your league, you know, after work. This is a great kind of pair of pants to put on to work. They don’t look out of place. They’re not that real shiny high shine finish like a lot of golf pants had been. Um, and again, you could wear these to work and then go play your nine holes or 18 holes in your league and you’re good to go. And no one’s like, “Why are you wearing golf clothes to work?” Um, so these are our kind of number of products from Sketchers. We are loving the Blade shoe. We are also loving the Elite 6. And the clothing is really coming around. If you haven’t taken a look at Sketchers in a long time, which probably some of you have not or have ever looked, I would say give Sketchers a look, especially in their footwear and their apparel, I think, is getting better and better. Um, really like the apparel, but if you have any questions on this stuff, again, let us know. But we really enjoyed the Sketchers product this year. And like I said, the shoes are really good. and especially for if you’re older and have a hard time getting your shoes on and off or you’re just don’t want to lace your shoes all the time.
