So, uh, pretty productive day for you, especially on the far fives. How would you sum it up? Uh, yeah, it was it was a good day. Um, I’m happy with how I played out there. It was it was pretty tricky at times and certainly the last three, four holes of wind really really picked up. Um, hit a a load of good iron shots. Could say it was a frustrating day on the greens for me. Um, it was nice to I feel like I hit a lot of good putts. Uh, one of the things that’s been holding me back probably this year is, uh, my pace on the greens hasn’t been what I’d like it to be. It’s kind of barely getting to the hole and leaving a lot of putts short. So, I wanted to go out there today and feel like I was being a bit more aggressive, which is sometimes hard. You don’t want to be careless and like just smash it six foot pass every time. But um I definitely felt that was one of the things that I tried to make more of an effort on and really be positive in in the putts I was hitting. So little putting thoughts that help you just kind of as you’re over the ball to get to that level that you mentioned, just hit it harder pretty much. Yeah. Um it’s really simple. It’s probably just trying to be a little bit more positive rather than uh a little tentative. I know it was a month ago. How much do you carry over what you did at Oakmont? The way you play in convention, just finish in a major. Does that carry over to in here at all in any way? Yes and no. I mean, this week is a very different test from Oakmont, but it’s still uh you’re playing in major. Uh I’d love to I really enjoyed having having the chance to win in in Oakmont. I know it didn’t go my way in the end, but I left that week proud of how I dealt with everything, happy with how I managed myself in in the most pressure moments and um yeah, taking confidence from that and hoping that this week, even if it’s not this week, I’d love to, you know, down the line give myself a chance to win another major. Um I’ve played played in enough now. I mean, this is my 42nd uh and 13th open. Um so, yeah, it’s I’ve played a lot. So, it’ be nice to give myself some more chances. T, what did you think of the pace of play out there? I know Matt Leeman came in and said it felt like he was out on the course for 12 hours. Like, how did it feel for you? Yeah, I think just with the conditions, um, I know it wasn’t super windy. I mean, it picked up as the round kind of went on a bit, but, uh, it’s hard. There’s a few bottleneck areas where you you’re reaching par fives in two, and that generally slows things down. I I don’t really know what you can do with the field site. I mean, it’s what 154 is it? Yeah, it’s 156. Yeah. I mean, I don’t even know if the guys that are last out will get finished today, which is a shame, but um yeah, it’s it was very slow and it kind of felt like you couldn’t eat enough to be honest. Right. So, you got through some snacks out there, did you? Yeah. Yeah. What were you What were you having? Uh well, just sandwiches. I had a sort of carbohydrate to drink. Uh protein balls. Yeah. Just stuff like that. Is it tough to stay in a rhythm when you’re weighing that long between shots? Uh when I would say the T-shot on seven that felt quite hard cuz we waited a really long time there. Um but for the for the rest of the round it was it it didn’t feel too bad in terms of getting out of sync. It was only really on the seventh TE that I’ve noticeably felt almost a bit stiffer for waiting so long. How do you remain feeling good about yourself when it’s in between shots and you know what I mean? When there’s time to process results, things that come through scoreboards, like how do you how do you deal with that? Um I don’t know. I think you just chat with your your caddy and your playing partners. Um, everyone’s in the same boat of kind of waiting. So, it’s almost just taking your mind off. Well, you’re just having a chat, so you kind of sometimes forget your surroundings in a way. Um, I don’t think that’s a bad thing. Did you come here with good vibes given 2019? You played well here. You like to obviously Yeah, I mean, I like the fact it’s pretty much all in front of you. There’s not many there’s not too many blind T- shots. Sometimes in links there’s there’s a lot of blind shots and for the most part here you don’t you don’t really have that. So I I like the golf course. It’s nice to see it in a more sober state than when I was last here in 2023. Um so yeah uh don’t know what else to say. Okay. Thanks so much.
