A Day in St Andrews with the Motocaddy M7 GPS Remote Electric Trolley
We partnered up with Motocaddy and headed to James’ home town of St Andrews for a day with the M7 GPS Remote Electric Golf Trolley.
Motocaddy have knocked it out the park with this premium electric trolley featuring everything youd want on and off the course. It features GPS hole mapping, Dynamic green view, remote control and much more.
James : “Taking this trolley out for a spin was probably the most fun I’ve had on golf course in a while. The remote control just makes this so much fun to use. You can send your trolley as far as 100 yards up the fairway, you can get it to stop, go left, turn right. You’re in total control of where your clubs are heading at all times.”
Tune in to see how James enjoyed using the trolley around the Home of Golf.

Video shot on location at Murrayshall Golf Club, Perthshire
I’m really excited today because I have one of the best toys for adults. I have the M7 GPS remote from Moto Caddy. I don’t need to push it. I’ve got a remote control in my hand, but we’re going to see how it handles the main streets of St. Andrews and then take it on the course. So, let’s go. So, we’re having a bit of fun with the M7 GPS remote here on Collar Street, but we’re testing out these all-terrain wheels, the swivel wheel, and just how it handles an uneven surface. Now, I can use the aergonomic handling here just to control it bit with a remote. I don’t need to do anything, but it’s just so much fun. It really is just the best toy to have. Going down Market Street now, dodging people. Hello. Stop. Reverse. Walk on. Now, not only is this thing a lot of fun to play around with cuz it is a big toy, it looks amazing as well. Automotive inspired design. Looks like a racing car. aerodynamic from the wheels to the body. It just looks class, but it’s just so much fun because it is a remote control car for adults. Oh, going straight for the bin there. Don’t worry about it. Just going to go left then right and let these ladies pass. That is cool. Do we spin for a remote control car when you have a remote control? One of those. Quite fun, isn’t it? It’s just a big toy. You’re controlling that with Oh, you I’ve got it in my hand here. The people love it. Now, we’re really going to try and test out its handling. So, we’ve got two poles here just beside St. Salvatore. So, we’re going to try and just see how it how it handles weaving in and out. There’s quite a tight space. So, go like that and then spin it around. I mean, it’s handling it with no problem whatsoever. I mean, that’s just an absolute joke. That’s so good. That’s so much fun. So, we’ve taken it for a spin around St. Andrews. We’ve seen how it handles. It looks great. It’s a lot of fun, I can tell you that. Just going to pass it on Vegan here. Great point in there. But, we’re going to pack it up, take it to the car, and see how it performs on the course next. So, as we’re walking down the car, we thought we’d just pass little Tom here behind us. Um, but we’re just going to fold this up. It’s dead easy. Really quick. Goes down like so. Clip. Clip. And then you can also pop this anti-tip wheel all the way in. And that’s it. Ready to go. But the cool thing is it automatically disconnects the battery. So, it switches itself off. And this pops up right here, but you can also charge it when it’s folded up as well. If you got the space to do that, it’s really great. So, without further ado, let’s head to the course. Okay, so we’ve made it to the course. But before we go out and have some fun, let me just go through the bag setup first. Let’s set this up. It’s super compact, easy to fold up and down. That’s it. Just Couple clicks like that and then you’re set to go. Now, one thing that Moatti do which is a really cool touch with their Moccatti bags, for example, you have the easy lock. Now, on the bottom of these, you can screw in these two kind of like metal screws, which you can see at the bottom that just clicks in place. It slots in. You don’t need a bungee cord at the bottom to hold it in place. That’s what the Easy Lock system’s there for. You’ve just got the one at the top, but that’s it. So, all you need to do is just pop your bag on, find it in the slot, push it down like so, put your bungee cord at the top through the little gap here of the bag, clip it in, and then that’s it. And then you’re good to go. So, you’ve also got the 28V lithium battery, which is really lightweight. It’s easy to charge, and there’s no cables or anything like that to mess about with. So, it goes with the rest of the trolley really well, especially with that automotive design. But, let’s see what else this can do. So, we’re going to head up to the T- box, play a couple holes, and just see how good that GPS actually is. All right, so we’re on the T- box, but with the GPS, obviously in the M7, we have full mapping as well. So, come check this out. It’s pretty cool. Now, what’s really cool about this is you’ve got the whole view of the map. So, I can tap here and it can tell me the distance just before those bunkers and then basically how far my second shot’s going to be. front, middle, and back distances as well. Now I can select green. And again, if I tap here, it moves the pin around, which is really cool. But it also shows me the hazards, distances to each one. Now, not only that, hit shot and it will track how far each one has gone. And then at the end, I can put pop on my score. Fairies hit, greens hit. Really, really cool. So, we’re going to play this hole in two separate ways. We’re going to see how I can play it more aggressively and more conservatively as well. So, let’s get to it and see how we get on. Now, not only is the full home mapping really cool, you actually get a lifetime subscription to that as well, which is awesome. It’s also preloaded with 40,000 courses on it already. Using this, I’ve already got what 144 basically to that tree line into the wind. Just going to try and hit a little little shot. Keep it low. Something like that. Get me in play. Perfect. But now I’m going to try something a little bit more aggressive. Okay. So, this isn’t the longest hole, but because it’s in the wind, it’s playing a lot longer than what it should. So, I’m going to be aggressive and go for the green here. I’ve got 280 to the front side bunker into the wind. Let’s see if we can we can get there. Ah, that’s pretty good right there, isn’t it? Little cut into the wind on the green. Chance for eagle. Let’s go. All right, so we’ve just brought out the rangefinder just to see how far the range is. And we’ve sent it all the way down to the fairway pretty much to my first shot. 106 y. You can send that thing absolutely miles. And you can just enjoy the walk on the way there. How good is this? Just look how this handles all the humps and bumps. Just shows you how well that anti-tip wheel works. It just can handle anything that you put in front of it. It’s so impressive. Now, before I hit my second shot, there’s a really cool feature about the M7 GPS remote. You can sync it up using Bluetooth and the Mocci app. So, you can get all your notifications, whether it’s WhatsApp messages, missed phone calls, and it all comes in to there. So, for example, you might even get your boss asking if you’re working or something like that, which believe it or not, this is work. Now, on top of that, you also have a USB charging point. So, for example, I can put that in here and already you can see it’s charging right there. On top of that, in the app, you get a full fly over 3D view of the hole as well, which is really cool if you just want a little bit more kind of I guess an indepth kind of view of the hole, which is quite cool. So, I’m going to hit my second shot. Got about 80 yards left. Wind is breezing. Oh, look how strong that wind is. All right, pin high. We’ll take it. So, using the GPS on the M7 GPS remote, it just shows you you can make great decisions from the tea, the fairway. It’s practically having a caddy that doesn’t talk back to you, which is always quite nice. But I’ve got a chance for birdie with my first ball. I’ve got a chance for eagle here with my second ball. two different ways to play a hole, but I wouldn’t have been able to do it without having that whole view as well and seeing what’s kind of ahead and how the hole looks uh as well. So, let’s see if we can knock this one in for eagle. Oh, if you hit it kicking birdie with the second ball. Oh, good putt. Just slid past the hole. Easy four. Gave myself a chance. There we go. I’ve had an absolute blast taking this run St. Andrews. Not just on the course, but off the course as well. It managed to handle the mean streets of St. Andrews. It’s a tough and rough place out there. It was turning heads. People asking questions, where can I get one of those, really, really cool to see and a lot of fun as well. Super easy to use. Having a remote control trolley just makes everything a breeze. And then with the GPS on top of that, it just makes getting those yardages and making those choices off the tea and the fairway just that little bit easier as well. And I’m so inspired and hyped up. I’m going to go play some more golf. So, on that note, if you haven’t already, remember to sub, give us a like, and I’m going to play some golf, and I’ll see you next time.

if they had included the EHB (brake) and slope compensation it would have been a worthy upgrade to my older M7. Hopefully they add it at some point since the new Powakaddy RX remote trollies have the slope compensation.
