from trash talk gone horribly wrong to golfers getting humiliated after being too full of themselves these are the worst karma moments in golf history and first we’ve got a moment where karma didn’t come for the player it came for the fan who thought he knew better it’s the final round of the 2015 Travelers Championship at TPC River Highlands bubba Watson is standing on the par4 second hole and his T-shot has drifted a little too far right ending up near the trees tricky angle not ideal as Bubba surveys the shot a voice cuts through the crowd from behind the ropes hit a punch four iron loud confident like the guy shouting it was prepping for his own PGA card bubba looks up doesn’t say a word reaches into his bag and then grabs a wedge then he does what Bubba does hits a high buttery shot over the trees and lands it within 4 ft he drains the birdie putt like it’s nothing but before walking off he turns back toward the fan and drops a line so clean it should have been engraved on a plaque that’s why you’re on that side of the ropes and I’m on this side oof no yelling no drama just a smooth birdie and a reminder that in golf giving unsolicited advice might just earn you a front row seat to your own roast coming in at number 14 what happens when you think you’ve landed the knockout punch only to watch your opponent get back up and knock you out cold it’s the 2016 Ryder Cup at Hazeltime Singles Sunday rory Mroy is locked in a heavyweight showdown with Patrick Reed and it’s already one of the most electric matches in Ryder Cup history the crowd is wild the tension is brutal then on the eighth hole Rory steps up he drains a 60 ft bomb for Birdie an absolutely insane putt he turns to the crowd cups his ears and screams “I can’t hear you.” But here’s the thing the hole isn’t over patrick Reed steps up same green same length putt same pressure reed stares it down and then drills it right back dead center then total chaos reed explodes pumping his fists pointing at Rory and unleashing a full volume finger wag right in his face rory goes from conductor to bystander in a matter of seconds reed would go on to win the match and Rory left standing in the silence he thought he owned because in golf if you flex too early karma doesn’t just tap you on the shoulder sometimes it lets your opponent throw it right back in your face twice as loud here at number 13 we go back to Augusta where one player thought he had cracked the code and then got absolutely smacked by reality it’s 2021 and Bryson Desambo is riding a wave of hype he’s bulked up swinging out of his shoes and talking like he’s figured out a cheat code to the game reporters ask him how he plans to approach Augusta National a course famous for humbling even the greatest players alive and that’s when he says it i view par as 67 for me because I can reach all the par fives into no problem let that sink in bryson didn’t just say he hoped to score low he literally redefined the entire courses par for himself like Augusta was some kind of pitch and putt for big boys that line hit the golf world like a slap total disrespect to one of the most sacred layouts in the sport and then Karma went to work not only did Bryson fail to shoot his magical 67 he didn’t even make the weekend he hacked his way to a 7675 and missed the cut by a mile augusta didn’t just fight back it chewed him up and spit him out like a stale pimento cheese sandwich but the best part he tried again the next year same place same mindset and yep missed the cut again which brings us to number 12 sometimes when you get too loud golf makes you listen let’s rewind to the 2022 President’s Cup a 20-year-old named Tom Kim shows up and he’s not just playing golf he’s performing this kid’s got fire he’s sprinting across greens pumping his fist like he just hit a walk-off home run screaming like he’s front row at a BTS concert and the fans they love it saturday afternoon the pressure’s insane tom lines up a clutch birdie putt on 18 knowing it could win the match for his team and bang he drains it rips off his hat sprints across the green yells with his whole chest it’s electric his teammates mob him like they just won the whole President’s Cup but they didn’t because golf as Tom was about to learn has a long memory and it doesn’t always reward the loudest guy in the room fast forward to Sunday singles match tom Kim versus Max Homa once again it all comes down to the 18th hole the stage is set for another Tom Kim moment right wrong homa steps up stonefaced and drills a cold-blooded par putt to win the match no celebration no yelling just a stare a fist bump and silence max beats Tom Kim and flips the entire script see in golf if you party too hard before the job’s done karma might just invite someone else to finish the show at number 11 let’s talk about one of golf’s biggest gamblers a guy who never met a high-risisk shot he didn’t want to flirt with it’s the 2014 Barkclays Championship at Ridgewood Country Club phil Mickelson is in full go for it mode and the par4 fifth hole becomes his personal playground for chaos in round two he tees off and absolutely nukes the ball straight into a hospitality tent now any sane golfer would take the safe drop and move on but not Phil he struts into the tent finds a patch of fake grass and actually hits his next shot from inside the tent not only does he pull it off he hits a clean recovery and scrambles for par classic Phil big risk big reward crowd goes wild but here’s where Karma starts licking its lips the next day round three Phil walks up to the same hole same team same target same tent he sends another missile right back into hospitality two days in a row you’d think he learned his lesson but again no drop no safety net he walks in surveys the chaos and this time the shots even harder he’s got to float a flop shot over the edge of the tent thread it between fans and hope it lands soft and somehow he does it again lands it on the green narrowly misses birdie walks off with par like nothing happened but here’s the thing when you keep spinning the wheel it’s only a matter of time before it lands on Snake Eyes now at number 10 we’ve got a guy who made one of the worst mistakes you can make in golf and no it wasn’t a swing issue it’s 2006 and Steven Ames is prepping for a big showdown at the WGC Accenture match play his next opponent a guy named Tiger Woods maybe you’ve heard of him now most players in this situation choose their words carefully they know what Tiger’s capable of they know his resume they show respect steven Ames not so much in an interview leading up to their match he’s asked about his chances and instead of giving the usual cliche about sticking to the game plan or hoping to play well he decides to poke the bear anything can happen especially where he’s hitting it yeah he actually said that he basically called out Tiger’s driving implying it was all over the place and made it sound like the goat was vulnerable tiger hears the quote doesn’t say a word then he shows up the next day and goes absolutely crazy tiger demolishes Ames 9 and 8 it’s one of the worst beatdowns in matchplay history it ended so fast people were still finishing their breakfast when Ames was already packing his bags after the match Tiger is asked about what just happened his answer I think he said something along the lines of anything can happen and it did that’s not just karma that’s karma with a driver a wedge and a death stare next up number nine let’s talk about what happens when your mouth moves faster than your win record it’s early 2019 and the feud between Bryson Dashambo and Brooks Cupka is quietly heating up brooks has just posed shirtless for ESPN’s body issue showing off a lean athletic frame that’s got people talking but one person isn’t impressed bryson hops on a Twitch stream and mid-con conversation casually drops a jab i don’t see any abs on Brooks a subtle dig the kind that sounds like a joke but lands like a shot at the time Bryson was bulking up and branding himself as golf’s scientific athlete all about speed power and muscle so yeah and this was personal but here’s the thing about Brooks Cupka he doesn’t do subtle he does brutal hours later Brooks responds with a tweet that instantly goes viral it’s a photo of his four major trophies lined up like a row of gold-plated middle fingers and the caption “You were right i am too short of a six-pack.” Boom no yelling no back and forth just one cold-blooded reminder that while Bryson was flexing in the gym Brooks was stacking majors like protein bars it was the kind of comeback that ended the argument before it even started and for Bryson that’s Karma hitting you with a screenshot coming in at number eight we’ve got a moment where Karma flipped the script and handed the mic to a heckler it’s 2016 Hazeltime during RDER Cup practice rounds team Europe is out on the green trying to focus but there’s a voice in the crowd that just won’t shut up a fan named David Johnson from North Dakota is heckling Henrik Stenson loud relentless and getting under everyone’s skin and finally Stenson’s had enough he turns to Johnson and says “All right then you think it’s so easy come down here and make the putt i’ll give you $100 if you can do it.” Boom challenge issued johnson dressed in jeans and sneakers like he just wandered in from a barbecue hops the rope and walks onto the green like he owns the place the crowd’s buzzing the pressure is real he lines up the 12-footer swings and drains it dead center the crowd erupts the pros are left speechless johnson raises his arms like he just won the RDER Cup himself and Stenson true to his word hands over the $100 on the spot because here’s the thing when you talk trash in golf karma usually humbles you but every once in a while it dares you to back it up and speaking of saying the quiet part way too loud here’s number seven and it’s the story of what happens when confidence crosses the line into pure arrogance march 2014 WGC Cadillac Championship patrick Reed is riding high after pulling off the biggest win of his career he’s just 23 years old has a few PGA Tour wins under his belt and in the heat of the moment probably feeling like a god he drops this bomb in his post round interview i truly believe that I’m a top five player in the world now just to be clear at that exact moment he was ranked number 20 in the world so yeah confident sure delusional possibly but what really got people fired up was the way he said it no humility no wink no smile just raw smug straight-faced Reed declaring himself one of the best to ever do it well Karma heard that loud and clear because almost instantly the media torches him headlines are brutal analysts laugh fans start calling him top five Reed every time he screws up and that’s the thing he started screwing up a lot his form dipped the winds dried up and even when he did finally win again the narrative was no longer about his skill it was all about his ego turns out when you call yourself top five before the world does the golf world has a way of humbling you hard in the meantime let’s check in on number six it’s August 2020 PGA Championship Week at TPC Harding Park and Brooks Cupa is feeling dangerous heading into Sunday’s final round he’s just a few shots behind the leader Dustin Johnson the press wants to know what he thinks about DJ being out in front and Brooks well Brooks doesn’t exactly hold back he says “I like my chances.” Then adds “When I’ve been in this position before I’ve capitalized.” And just for good measure he shrugs and says “He’s only won one.” Yeah that kind of energy it wasn’t subtle it wasn’t respectful it was Brooks Cupka putting himself on a pedestal and brushing off one of the best players of his generation like he was some random guy from his club’s Saturday forsome but golf golf hears everything and on Sunday karma came swinging because on Sunday Brooks imploded a four overpar 74 the second worst round of the entire day nothing went right he missed fairways couldn’t sink a putt and watch the leaderboard swallow him whole meanwhile Dustin Johnson cruised to victory calm focused and completely unbothered and Brooks tied for 29th a ghost by the end of the afternoon talking about karma sliding into the top five on our list of crazy karma moments in golf here we’ve got a moment that proves karma doesn’t always need to be loud sometimes it just waits quietly and then lets your reputation do the damage it’s 2005 the Indonesian Open colin Montgomery is grinding through a humid stormy round at Chenkarang Golf Club he reaches the 14th hole lines up for his third shot and then the horn sounds weather delay everything stops when play resumes Monty returns to the spot but his ball is gone probably washed away by the rain instead of carefully estimating where it was he drops a new one way closer to the hole better angle better stance better chance at a clean shot nobody says anything there’s no rules official watching monty plays on finishes tied for second and walks away with a big payday but golf doesn’t forget a few days later footage reveals the drop clearly in a more favorable position no penalty no disqualification just silence but Karma doesn’t need a rules official the backlash was swift the whispers got loud and Monty feeling the weight of it all did something unexpected he gave away the prize money donated the entire thing to charity because in golf karma doesn’t just punish sometimes it teaches and in this case it pushed a man to be better than the mistake he made at number four we’ve got a lesson in why golf doesn’t care how badly you want it or how many times you say it’s yours phil Mickelson had one goal one mission one trophy he swore was his destiny the US Open he said it over and over throughout his career it’s only a matter of time i know I’ll get my US Open and why wouldn’t he believe that he was Phillip he had the game he had the resume he had the crowd behind him but the more he said it the cruer the game became six runner-up finishes six in 1999 he loses by one stroke after Payne Stewart drains a walk-off dagger 2004 he misses by two at Shinikok 2006 he steps onto the 18th T with the lead and melts down in real time a snap hooked drive a botched recovery a double bogey he walks off the green looks into the camera and says “I’m such an idiot.” And still he kept saying the win was coming that it was fate that the US Open was part of his story but Karma had other plans year after year the trophy stayed out of reach winged Foot Marion Beth Paige each one brought a new kind of heartbreak a different flavor of pain and each time the game seemed to whisper back “Not you not this time.” Phil won everything else the Masters the PGA the Open Championship but the more he claimed the US Open was his the more brutal the rejections became you’ve made it to our top three here we’ve got a rare sight in professional golf a player dishing out justice mid round and a fan learning the hard way that Karma doesn’t care if you’re wearing a VIP wristband it’s the 2024 PGA Championship at Valhalla final round bryson Desambo is walking toward the 10th T when he does something simple something you see at every tournament he spots a young fan by the ropes and tosses his golf ball toward the kid and then out of nowhere an adult man jumps in and snatches it no hesitation no shame just grabs the ball and starts walking off like he earned it but Bryson saw the whole thing he freezes midstep raises his club like a teacher calling out a kid in the back row and shouts “Hey hey give that ball back.” Everyone hears it the crowd turns the cameras catch the moment and the man he stops dead in his tracks totally exposed and awkwardly hands the ball back to the child the guy tried to swipe a souvenir from a kid and got publicly shamed by a tour pro on live TV because in golf there’s etiquette and then there’s common decency and if you try to rob a moment from a young fan karma will make sure the whole world sees you give it back here at number two we’ve got a guy who thought the rules didn’t apply when his temper took over spoiler alert golf doesn’t work that way it’s 2019 the very first Saudi international at Royal Greens Golf and Country Club sergio Garcia is not having a good week his third round goes sideways and instead of grinding through it like a pro he snaps we’re talking full-on meltdown sergio starts slamming and scuffing greens not once not twice but five separate times reports come in from all over the course players complaining greenskeepers staring in disbelief the putting surfaces are literally getting damaged mid round and that’s when Karma steps in fast tournament officials don’t wait under rule 1.2A serious misconduct they disqualify Sergio on the spot gone done pack your bags the European tour issues a statement about lack of consideration and damage to course integrity sergio has no choice but to issue a public apology he says he crossed the line and swears it won’t happen again and finally the big number one well we’ve got a moment that perfectly shows what happens when you come for the king and forget he still has the crown it’s 2007 and Rory Sabatini has been playing well he’s feeling confident maybe a little too confident and during a press conference he decides to make things interesting reporters ask him about Tiger Woods the world number one the guy dominating the sport like nobody else sabatini doesn’t hesitate i think he’s more beatable than ever that’s not just bold and that’s practically a declaration of war in golf terms most guys talk about Tiger with reverence sabatini he talks like the era of Woods is over spoiler it’s not their next showdown comes just a few weeks later same tournament same course same leaderboard and Tiger makes it personal he doesn’t just beat Sabatini he destroys him 11 shots no mercy no need for words just Tiger doing what Tiger does letting the scoreboard do the talking if you try to knock down a giant karma might just use your own words to bury you oh and now that you’re still with us we have another great golf video for you to watch right in the middle of the screen enjoy

  1. Few seconds and stopped watching. What are you up to? We are all humans Anfragen make mistakes. Are you a pro better than these guys?

  2. I think you are crazy, you are taking little things that mean very little and make them seem like they are huge events. You are the one who is making dumb things out of golf!!

  3. Yeah – interesting to hear your description of events versus what we see with our eyes 😂

  4. I got bored waiting for examples of karma grew sick of the false accounts of what actually happened, so stopped watching after a few minutes.

  5. The greatest karma call I have seen was when a wet behind the ears Rory McIlroy got smashed 9 and 8 by Tiger after boasting of his Tiger fearlessness and winning expectations. It was NOT, his time, bc it was still Tiger's time. I have more respect for Rory's game now. Seeing him move up to #1 showed that he worked on his humility, respect, and …that putt… can it be helped?

  6. maybe show us the clips instead of uselessly yapping right through them all while cutting the clips up into 20 pieces

  7. Sergio for sure deserved the DQ if not a further suspension. Destroying the surface of the greens mid round messes up the integrity of the entire event. Anyone who had a round prior to sergio had a marked advantage over competetors who were in the cards playing after sergio.

  8. You need to learn a bit more about the history of golf overall, don’t you? The GOAT of Golf is Jack Nicklaus, not Woods.

  9. Your voice over is a joke.
I've watched every match and for the love of golf your narrative sends so many negativities to incredible professionals
