The golfer talks with media after the second round of the Open Championship
Testing one, two, three. Level par in the house. Yeah, nice. Um, tidy ran today. We’re leading straight approach and scrambling so far. I’m leading approach and scrambling. Yeah, iron play was very good. How did it feel today playing link surf? Doesn’t feel that good. No, no, I was surprised yesterday as well. Uh, maybe last off the tea. Maybe. No. Sager Rory. I um yeah, it’s interesting. I I haven’t felt great the last couple weeks with my swing. Got a bit leftsided. Classic wind, classic turf. Uh get a bit leftsided and uh I’ve hit some good ones this week that I need to keep remembering and reminding myself. Um but yeah, there’s still room for improvement. Weekend golf going into leading to Ryder Cup. 12th in rankings back back the corn corner of the mind now going into last few weeks for sure. Yeah, I I need to be playing. I need to be at the top of the leaderboards, you know, to try and get myself into the RDER Cup and uh that’s three made cuts in the three uh majors that I’ve got into. Um obviously had to qualify for the US Open as well. So that was really good. Um and hopefully I can carry on going up the leaderboard this weekend and feel like I got a good understanding of the course now and it’s hard uh and staying patient. Yeah. What were you looking at or working on towards understanding the course a bit more? Uh more internally than anything. Obviously I need to hit some better shots off the tea. Um but internally staying patient, not getting down on myself, braing myself. um knowing that the good stuff’s in there and then like that’s not it’s not useful like slaughtering myself. So actually forgetting that and then going on to the next and trying to solve the next solution or equation that we’ve got on the golf course uh to find a solution and getting stuck into that. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. All good. Cheers. work of
