Hilton Los Cabos Beach & Golf Resort – Detailed Hotel Review
hey there folks the Scottdale travel check here to give you my detailed review of the Hilton Los Cabos Resort in this video I’ll tell you everything you need to know about the Hilton and how to make the most out of your stay from the surrounding area the rooms to all the hotels amenities dining options and more okay let’s get into it the Hilton Los Cabos is located directly on the beach and it’s along the Cabo Corridor the area between the towns of San Jose del Cabo to the north and Cabo San Lucas to the South the hotel is about 12 mi from the airport and the drive will take you about 30 minutes we always like to explore so we rented a car it’s always really important when you rent a car especially Mexico to get a good video of any kind of Dent or scratch like this one on the vehicle so we always make sure we do that okay now let’s get to the hotel itself there are total of 264 rooms and Suites across North and South wings of the resort it’s a beautiful property and has has been wellmaintained over the years there’s not much in the immediate area around the hotel so you are a bit locked into the options at the resort so if your plan is to Simply hang out at the resort and maybe take in a few tours you’ll be perfectly fine with taking taxis or shuttles and not renting a car but if you decide you want to explore a little bit and rent a vehicle the good news is the parking is free unfortunately as so often in the case these days this Hilton charges a resort fee however they’ll sneak it onto your bill calling it a 10% service fee so if your room is $54 per night you’ll notice that you’ll have an added fee on here showing exactly 10% just a quick break here if you want to know more about what to do in the Cabo area be sure to check out our top rated Cabo Ultimate Guide if you want to know more about excursions that you can do in the area check out our description below on this video okay back to the resort you enter the resort through a guard gated [Music] entry there is a large open lobby area where the staff are attend attentive and ready to help you with your bags and get you checked in check is to your if you arrive early and your room is not available they can store your luggage and you can head to the beach or pool until your room is ready they have a bar right off the lobby area it was our favorite place to hang out had great food and good drinks I’ll talk more about this later in the video here’s one of our drone shots looking right over the top of the hill the pool and Beach are really quite spectacular in terms of a late checkout depending on availability they can offer you a late checkout up to 5:00 p.m. typically with a small fee unless you’re a Hilton elite member both cost and checkout time will vary by the season and of course it depends on how fully booked the hotel is now let’s talk about the rooms overall the rooms are relatively spacious with the smallest rooms being 546 ft and the largest 1274 ft and all the rooms have some level of Ocean [Music] View if you get a room with a higher floor you have better views of the ocean and the lower views are sometimes obstructed by palm trees here’s a walkth through of our room which is a king suite on the fourth floor usually I try to do a review of at least two room options but in this case the hotel was sold out and I couldn’t get access to another room the one thing that we noticed in this room is it’s missing a desk so if you need to do a little bit of work you need to find somewhere else to [Music] go in addition to their standard room offerings they also offer rooms called altimar Rooms these are simply higher floor rooms which also give you some extra benefits as part of the altimar package if you book an altimar room you’ll get perks like free pickup and drop off from the airport daily breakfast for two 20% off Cabanas or Bungalow rentals at the beach club and lastly but perhaps most importantly you’ll get early access to reserve seating at the pool area this is somewhat of a big deal when the hotel is heavily booked as I’ll explain this later in the video in terms of connectivity and Wi-Fi speed we found the internet to be good all around the resort from the rooms to the beach area and restaurants here is a screenshot of the speed test we did now let’s talk about the dining and bar options there are five dining options and three bar options [Music] the primary dining option is where they serve breakfast in the morning and it’s called taliva it’s one level down from the lobby and one level up from the [Music] pool your fruit they offer a continental breakfast as well as [Music] Buffet Parian chocolate three of the morning fresh breads and over here have bacon scrambled eggs French toast sausage potatoes and you can make your own omelet pudding green beans baked zucchini a wide range of stuff make sure to check out their vitamin smoothie for the day today it looks like [Music] berries the patio here is really nice try and get a table on the patio looks over the pool and the beach although that completely depends on the type of weather you’re having in the evening tala is open for dinner offering a buffet as well as some menu options the second fancier option is called Bella and it’s on the ground floor overlooking the primary pool area their menu focuses on Italian choices it’s normally open SP only in the evening from 5: to 10:00 p.m. and has some nice open views out over across the pool a pro tip here the hotel doesn’t really have a business center so if you really need to get some work done on your vacation we found this restaurant as a good choice you’re able to sit and do some work in the daytime there’s no service here but their pa is open and free to use finally there are three pool bar and dining options offering food from 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. the first choice is at the main pool area and it’s called Lena they serve primarily comfort food items like burgers chips guacamole tacos and Wood Fired pizzas and a swim up bar [Music] [Music] the second pool and dining option is called moo this one is over in the kids pool side of the resort and is more focused on sushi and seafood options along with another swim up bar despite being on the kids pool side we found this place to be more chill and quiet and the sushi is fresh you can watch it being made right in front of you the Third option is called enclave and this bar is further down on the beach itself similar to Lena this place offers up similar menu of comfort food pizzas and drinks seating is all outside and the setting is really fantastic this is a great place to go if you have a large group and it serves drinks later in the evening unlike the other two pro tip here you can order s’mores in the evening and cook them over a fire pit here at [Music] Enclave finally there’s a very nice Lobby Bar it’s called soel oh I hope I said that right it’s on the third floor above the beach and pools it’s quite a chill Place most of the time and we enjoyed relaxing here although there’s no restrictions on children here so they can get overcrowded in this place they have great views this is all about tequila here of course so you can sit out [Music] here they have things like nachos uh Burgers uh tacos and of course all of that soel offers up a wide range of Tequilas various snack options and even some Entre in the evening we actually found ourselves eating here most of the time out on their patio area they are open from noon until 11:00 p.m. Pro tip here there’s a small room in the SEL bar and it’s called la biblioteca here they offer Deluxe and intimate five course dining for groups of up to 12 reservations are required here moving beyond the actual dining and bar options the Hilton has two smaller snack and coffee options one is called loow Aros roasting and it’s just off the main lobby if you’re looking for a quick cup of coffee a Danish or Panini this is your place Dolce is the second option and it’s one floor down here they have lots of grab and go options along with ice cream Starbucks coffee drinks to take to your room and even some sues okay now let’s touch on all the amenities that are at the Hilton but before I do just a quick break here to say if you’re enjoying this video please give us a thumbs up maybe a nice comment and even better consider forwarding this video to some of your friends and finally please consider following our channel for more fun informative videos just like this [Music] one okay now let’s get to those amenities of course the primary amenities here at the beachfront Hilton copper Resort are the pools in the beach first up they have multiple pool areas sprad out across the back of the resort one is designated as a family pool area great this one has a real small slide and FYI there’s no larger water slide at this Resort the other pool area is designated as the main pool area and each one of these pools has a swim up bar as I mentioned earlier I just wanted to mention here again this area is over by the kids pool area if you are able to reserve these chairs this is a really good choice it just seemed to be really quiet and peaceful over here and you’ve got incredible views looking out to the beach and the ocean below the pool areas is the beach and as I’ve mentioned it’s a nice Beach compared to most in the Cabo area area which tend to be calm enough for swimming or playing in the water here though they have a nice little Cove which is great for playing in the water and in the mornings the overall area is calm enough for swimming and [Music] snorkeling the beach itself is also larger than most and you can walk a reasonable distance both to the North and the South have a sport center it’s called wild Canyon where they offer kayaks snorkel equipment and lots of beach toys including jet skis across all these pool and Beach areas the Hilton offers up various chair loungers and Cabana rentals however during peak times there just isn’t enough seating to go around that that is because those people who have upgraded their room to the ultimar have access to loungers and [Music] Cabanas you will notice as you walk around the pool area that almost all the chairs have already been reserved with names assigned so if you’re not one of those SC yes you want to get up early and grab what’s left over throw your book or your hat on the chair boy I hate visiting Resort that you have to set your alarm and wake up just to get a beach chair just FYI these chairs in the water get reserved with a cabanis so you actually end up getting four chairs keep that in mind if you’re thinking about reserving your spot a great alternative is to head to the beach early to get your spot next to the ocean these chairs don’t seem to fill up as quickly as the pool area you can still get served and they have that great awesome little bar to get your Margarita on the beach finally the Hilton Resort has an indoor and outdoor [Music] gym the gym is a decent size and updated equipment but perhaps most unique is they also have an outdoor area for working out and stretching sometimes they also have spinning bikes outside the resort spa is called aora we didn’t try it but I did get a look at one of the rooms honestly I was not impressed massages start at $170 for 50 minutes you know it’s expensive when they don’t even list the prices anyhow if you get a massage send us a message and let me know your thoughts here’s a pro tip and found the best massage overall experience to be at The Sandbar massage deck on madono beach it’s a great 60-minute massage for $40 [Music] again check out our ultimate Cobble guide if you want to know more about this place as well as other secret choices for exploring the Cabo area and with all that I finished my review of the Hilton L’s Cabos and now it’s time for my Scottdale travel check score this hotel has beautiful views of the ocean the rooms are nice and the beach is above average but during dur peak season it just doesn’t seem relaxing I felt like if you didn’t pay extra for the altimar room you couldn’t easily get a chair by their pool and if you’re the type of person that enjoys hanging by the pool ordering drinks and just chilling the seating situation and lots of people may not feel comfortable for you if you want to experience the local scene you’ll just have to rent a car or taxi and drive somewhere there’s nothing unique in in the nearby area it’s a beautiful Resort but for these reasons we would try a different Hotel closer to one of the two main Cabo towns next time I give the Hilton Los cobos and 8 out of 10 thanks for watching from s Cabo and tell next time see you later

Thank you for the video. Regarding taxi, do they use Uber over there?
Great videos❤❤❤
Great Video.. Thanks for the tips.. In regards to Taxi…. How much is it to / from SJD Airport? How much is it to Cabos San Lucas? How much is it to San Jose Del Cabo
Is this resort all inclusive? And if not, how were the prices?
Is the sand bar massage near the Hilton resort?
Great video. Are the Talavera restaurant prices you show in dollars? Example, Carne Asada 43?
Don’t go down early and “reserve your spot”. No one will honor it. They will love your things if you are not there. The hotel has confirmed it.
thanks so much, this really helps us decide if this is the hotel for us. Looking to book for the winter time, wondering if the hotel will be sold out then as well. Great information!
Do you recommend staying away from the ice, raw veggies, and fruits? Or is is all cleaned in purified water and you don't need to worry about gastrointestinal issues during your stay?
How does this compare to the ziva ?
Great informative video ❤ We are visiting Cabo from December 21st through 26th and staying at Hilton. I am planning to take private shuttle from SJD to Hilton. Do you have recommendations of any good shuttle service company I can use.
is this all-inclusive or no
I was here. 10 yrs ago….and this place has deteriorated badly…it used to have amazing restaurants and ambience, stunning aquarium, culture, . The decor was what one would want and expect in Mexico…now…not so much 😒
Are the menu prices in pesos or USD?
Thank you for the tour
Thank you for this very helpful and informative video!
