Intercontinental Fiji Golf Resort and Spa- The Best Resort in Viti Levu?

if you are going on a bucket list trip to Fiji you should stay in a bucket list Resort we are spending four nights at the Intercontinental Fiji in this video we’ll be giving you a full Resort [Music] tour the Intercontinental Fiji is located on the coral coast of VT levu which is is fiji’s main island and it’s about an hour from the International Airport the resort is 35 Acres so it’s pretty large there are 266 rooms it was built in 2009 so it’s still a relatively new resort and it’s got a fantastic location on natadola beach which is considered the main island of Fuji’s best beach with 2 km of golden beautiful sand and Blue Water since this is an InterContinental Resort it is part of the IHG hotel Group which means you can use points here which is what we did to make your vacation a little bit more affordable the first place you’ll come to is the lobby or check-in area which is very Grand and has a fantastic view of the ocean we checked in last night and they took our luggage and then we got a cheeky little welcome drink with either Fijian rum or Fijian gin and then they took us to the concierge desk where we had a seat and they worked out all of the check-in details check our passports and then we got a buggy ride to our room the check-in area is on the top floor of the second floor and on the bottom floor you’re going to find a couple different small boutiques and shops to pick up a few things and you also find Sana Sana which is the main buffet restaurant that’s going to be serving your big buffet breakfast and Buffet dinners also on the ground floor you’re going to find the Kama Lounge which is right here they do drinks and light bites throughout the day and also they have a mck hour every day where it’s kind of like a happy hour and they have discounted drinks they have these traditional Fijian drums on property which I can’t wait to hear and I know that they’re drums because I watch Moana on the plane right over here one of the Fantastic things about this property is that they have all these Cabanas around near the beach and near the Lagoon and they are first come first sered you don’t need to reserve them you don’t need to pay for them that makes InterContinental great in my opinion being a cabana by the beach all day so we’ll show it to you later but there’s the Toba Bar and Grill which is by the pool and at each Cabana they have the QR code so you can order and have it delivered straight to your Cabana so you don’t even have to leave so when we first checked in we took a buggy to our room you can get a buggy to go throughout the resort which is really nice because it is 35 Acres the location of our room is actually really Central to everything so we haven’t used that but if you have mobility issues or just don’t want to walk in the heat you can request a buggy at any time also they have something called a boula bus which is a little bit bigger it can fit a bunch of people and it has designated stops and it kind of just makes a big loop around the resort so if you need Transportation plenty of options right in the middle of the resort you’re going to find your two two main pools they have a family pool which is open to kids and then they have an adults only pool the adults only pool has an infinity edge that goes right up to the ocean Family Pool has like a shallow entry and some different levels so it’s great for all ages they’re both very picturesque and extremely warm water in between the two pools you have the Toba Bar and Grill this is a casual Eatery for like lunch and dinner they also have a laser Kier where you can get all your towels and a coffee shop there’s another Boutique off to the side here where you can get sun screen or anything that you forgot that you might need while you’re in the pool we’ve discovered that the bathrooms right by the main pool have the best air conditioning even better than our room so we like to go stand in there for 5 or 10 seconds just to cool off so right by the adults only pool you’re going to find a couple different activity buildings one of them is all about Hydro Sports jet ski rentals wake boarding water skiing you can also book parasailing trips or if you want to Charter a boat to go fishing or go snorkeling that’s going to be your spot for on the other side they have the reef Safari dive Hut you can also get scuba certified here and it’s actually pretty affordable compared to a lot of other countries so pick up snorkel gear if you just want to snorkel right off the shore and you can also rent paddle boards there it’s a guided paddle board service though and they do it at sunrise and sunset but there’s an option for that if that’s something you want to do all of these activities are in extra charge just so you’re aware it’s not included with the price there’s actually a third pool that is for Club InterContinental guests if you’re part of Club InterContinental you you get your own private pool and Lounge where you can have breakfast high tea and sunset cocktails and it’s up on the hill overlooking the ocean it’s very beautiful they have an area where there is a small soccer pitch and a volleyball net so you can play that pickup whenever you want and they also have a gym here and a kids club they have a medical center in case you get a really bad sunburn the medical center actually seems well stocked so if you do get hurt there’s a spot right here we’re kind of far away from any major town so having an on-site Medical Center is is pretty nice and if golf is your thing this is actually called the Intercontinental Fiji Golf Resort and Spa there is an 18 hole Championship Golf Course where 15 of the 18 holes have a beautiful view of the South Pacific Ocean it’s not actually connected to the resort property but they will provide transportation and set up tea times for you here at the Intercontinental Fiji they have a state-of-the-art weather system I’ve never seen anything like this before it must be brand new Fijian Innovation Way to tell what the weather’s going to be the coconut system the coconut is dry so it is sunny the coconut is not white is not snowing there’s your weather I don’t know I think if the Coconut’s wet it’s probably sweaty like us now we’re going to show you our room we actually filmed this when we first arrived before we completely destroyed it with all of our stuff so that’s why it’s at night time and I’m dressed differently all right we just checked into our King Lagoon view room with a balcony we wanted to give you a quick tour before we completely destroy the place which is ouro when you come in you directly have a seating area in front of you with two of these really cool looking chairs we have our mini bar which has wine glasses PF wine water glasses coffee or tea mugs they give us little espresso bags exra coffee over here here and sugar and then down here there’s a refrigerator that’s empty except for a couple milks for the coffee or tea I guess and then here we have the king bed that the room is named for each has side table with plugs and switches so you can control basically all the lights from here we got a little chocolate welcome gift which I love chocolate and then another gift it says booula written out in shell necklaces very large television here is our very luxurious bathroom with a double vanity and hand wash hand lotion and a bunch of different amenities they give us Fiji Waters cuz we’re in Fiji makeup remover Kleenex all the normal stuff what is this it’s ENT it’s bug spray they knew I was coming nice big shower rainfall shower head or a normal shower head and then shampoo conditioner body wash cloth line for drying out your various bathing suits and such then we have just a standard water closet and then behind the bed we have a big desk area with the phone and a lamp and this is the room iPad which you can contact Guest Services check out the menus for places order in room dining then there are closets on other side of the bathroom one over there which you can open both out here and from the bathroom and one over here which has bath robes and there’s also a safe in here and slippers iron ironing board there’s umbrellas for use because we are in the tropics an emergency flashlight they’ve thought of everything here and also all of our stuff and now for one of the best parts the outdoor balcony there’s a gigantic bathtub on the balcony there is a bathtub on the balcony I didn’t know that I needed that until today oh yeah oh yeah you going to sleep here tonight yeah I think I am give me some pillows so there’s a big rack out here for drying your towels and swimsuits when you go swimming a big old day bed that you can definitely fit at least two people on maybe more and then another coffee table we checked in after dark so I don’t know what the view looks like but I do know that it’s a view of the Lagoon so yes we’ll will see that tomorrow but I’m betting it’s really good so breakfast is included with our room rate you have the choice of going to two different restaurants you can go to the main son buffet restaurant but you can also come to navoo which is more the refined dining restaurant they do breakfast and dinner breakfast they do like a continental breakfast buffet but you also can order quite a few items off of the menu like eggs and pancakes and things like that and since it’s included we decided to go pretty heavy on it pro tip if you go to breakfast late sometimes you can eat enough to skip lunch any beautiful Resort would be incomplete without a spa and I am going to check out one of their signat treatments today natadola honey treatment which is 2 hours I’m not sure what they’re going to do with the honey I think it’s got face and the body and the whole thing but I’m a little early cuz I’m doing their y Zone which is like all the plunges and the sauna and stuff so I’m really excited filling out the consultation form and they have me in this very nice and air conditioned room and then I’m going to go get my robe and go into the Y zone for all of the plunges and sauna first I rinse then a steam room going to plunge then a ice [Music] Shore I only lasted about 8 minutes in the hot tub because it’s like the hottest hot tub I’ve ever felt in my life but the next one is only 10 seconds and that is the ice shower okay 10 seconds I got to rub this ice on me and then shower [Music] oh my [Music] God okay oh feel so good no it doesn’t okay now turn oh it’s in my butt it’s in my butt okay here we go 1 2 3 4 5 6 I really hope I got that see you soon oh my God that was incredible I’ll never be able to go back to 1 hour spot treatments again because that was amazing I got the signature natadola Bay honey experience and it was an experience for sure started with a body scrub and moisturization of your whole body with their local honey and yogurt and raw milk it was like being Cleopatra it was amazing and then they kind of wrapped you up to let it all soak in and I got a mini facial with cinnamon and more honey and then I showered off and I got a full body massage with coconut oil infused with pineapple I feel like a rich girl now that was divine I’m so sad that it’s over thank you so much InterContinental Fiji that was an experience I’ll never forget [Music]
