Paul Wearing withdraws from the Open. Davis Riley named replacement. The Open Championship field continues to shift just days before the first round at Royal Portra. Following Ernie’s withdrawal on Sunday, English golfer Paul Wearing has also pulled out of the 2025 Open. Wearing will be replaced by Davis Riley as confirmed by Underdog Golf. Despite the changes, the tournament will feature a star-studded lineup. World number one Scotty Sheffller leads the betting odds at plus450 followed by Rory Mroy at plus 70 and John Ram at plus200. Mroy fresh off his Masters victory in April told reporters on Monday he’s focused on adding a second major title this season. The open will also mark another highly anticipated PGA Tour versus Liv Golf Clash with top players from both leagues set to compete.
