off the back foot. Just a little bit long in this green at the second. Victor Hofflin nudging this one nicely. Nudging it right into the hole. Nice start. Tough all the second. The second hardest all week. A good chance for a buddy here for Sheffler. But this is an eagle pot up first. Back up the slope and oh, Scotty Sheffller. Superb T-shot from Oldberg at five. Can he do a Sheffller? He surely can. And they are queuing up behind. Sometimes it works out like this though when you hit a poor T shot. as good as being on the fairway almost. Nice and clean. Can control the spin here to the fourth. He’s taking further advantage of that. You get what you deserve. And the flight of the second shot was just what he wanted. It didn’t reach the top of its flight. It dipped down. was always going to have a lot of pace once it hit the ground. And there’s England and the United States on top in Scotland. Don’t think he can spin it. Short follow through once again this one up and down. No wonder it’s fairly adjacent. a chance to bounce back after the six at the last. That’s what the top players do. It was a very poor six out the last from Mak. It’s a very fine three the fourth back in business. Three-way tie this up. Good round in progress here from Justin Rose. Around you come, down you go. Great T- shot from Rose at 12. He’s still got the desire, still got the work ethic, putting together a superb brand of go. And if you don’t hit this hard enough, it could easily come back to your feet. You just got the most delightful connection on that. In goes Fitzpatrick. It was a delightful pitch. Lovely soft, educated hands to go birdie birdie. Could be a huge moment now towards the far end of the golf course. Justin Rose here. Second shot at the beautiful pictures 41 13th pin all the way back in the screen. Oh, and that is a beauty. Go in. brave to say the least. Singing off the club face. Never left the flag. A little unfortunate. It didn’t release a fraction more, but that’s one of the Rory Maroy specialties. It’s top quality golf. [Music] Bingo. Saves his part. Joyous cries. Rock on. Got her upper seven. He’s found the middle of the cap. He’s also found a share of the lead alongside Maroy and then release it. Grab. Oh yes. They’ve been scarce on the eighth and Maroyy’s made one. Fourth on this hold so far today and it’s looking good. [Applause] Did very well to get it this close. So got her up trying to hang tough for Maroy and he does to be fair to him. He’s holding his own cuz there’s an open spot. Well, there’s three open spots available. Ma is one of those players who could take one. That’s a good body there. Come at a good time. Oh, what a shot. All the problems that the six goals caused today [Applause] and someone makes a mockery of it. Etcha hole in one. He’s got his putter. Oh, Victor. Victor. Something a little bit special there. This is such a good eagle try from Matty Fitz coming off his ride. Could have a chance here. on his merry way. Eagle there yesterday. An eagle here today for Matt Fitrick. He moves within one. Buzzing. Good firm hit. Definitely the right strategy. That’s a good choice in the end. Nicely played shot. 147. A nice gentle driven heat iron. Go [Applause] six feet ahead of him to get over the top of the pile. And it goes for the increasingly impressive. Got himself one clear. A cracking bloody chance for Patrick to pull alongside Maroy. Right to left. He’s got it. You know he’s got it. Mist Patrick turning on the style. Eagle Bubbly to start the back nine here. Rose the clubhouse late. Oh, what a way to finish Justin Rose. A back nine of 30. He’s out in 33. The 44 year old hits the house very living under. That’s just the round of golf he was hoping for. And it down the hill from the left for Nikolai Hoya. It’s a fast one. Nothing to stop it. Maybe the hole will do it. Got to be thinking five iron. Just a poke with a five iron to the right of it. Bail out a little. Don’t get too brave. You don’t want to pull it and miss it left. Tell you what, he is not backing off one ounce. There’s two six holes left to play. 25year-old Chris Gautric. He’s got his nose out in front and there is daylight. Oberg down the slope at the 16th. Oh, moves to nine under. It’s been a real up and down week. Two. [Applause] This takes some imagination and some courage to play this one. Little trick shot. Has he ever played it? Exquisite touch from the championship leader. Glorious. Does he like it? Oh, he does like it. How do you get it to stop that quick? That takes a lot of confidence to draw the ball into the pin back left. Can he get himself to 13 under? Yes, he can. What a putt. Gorgeously well played hole. Sit down. Gifing away. Who’s going to show who the line? He saw it. He struck it. He’s found it. And that cushion just gets a little softer going to the 71st. Yes. Very fortunate off the te that he’s made the most of it. He’s come out of there with a port. to extend the lead. This is what you’d have expected. [Applause] trying to get on an upturn frying pan. Just cannot get it just right. So little margin of error. Excellent shot from Maroy. That’s good. Under the circumstances, not stone that up to Moroy to ask the question. [Applause] The champion Alex can breathe just a little easier. draws a lot of fun again. Rory the superstar but Chris welcome to a new world. Genesis Scottish Open champion. One American in the top seven and he is the champion here in East Loing. One wonders where he can go from here now having secured that first win last year and certainly a weaker field in this. This is a massive step up for Gutterup. He’s still young enough to build a great career and we’ve seen enough of him over the four days to know that he has an awful lot of quality. So, no doubt very happy about to get his hands on the trophy. Before that, he’s talking to Iona. Chris, many many congratulations. I can see the emotions are high. Your first Rolex series title comes here in the home of golf in a stacked field. our Genesis Scottish Open champion. How How are you feeling right now? Amazing. Um yeah, I mean I’m just it’s all hitting me. Um it’s just so cool. Um I played really well this week and I knew today was going to be tough and I hung in there like a champ and finished it off in style. You certainly did hang in there. You had a two-shot lead coming into an incredibly tough finishing stretch here at the Renaissance Club with one of the best to ever play this game. breathing down your neck. How were your nerves? How were you handling that moment? How did you do that? I mean, after I mean, I felt pretty good, shockingly, on the first te today. I felt comfortable and I knew I was playing well this week and I was I felt like I was ready for the challenge and um yeah, I mean, like I said yesterday, that’s that’s why I practice and that’s why I play and to play against the best. And um it was a pleasure to be out there with him and obviously all the support that he gets is amazing, but it was nice to kind of ruin that a little bit. We know how tough it is to win out here this field. We mentioned the best in the world turned up. What’s behind this emotion? What’s what’s coming out in in these tears right now that’s allowed you to to get it across the line today? Yeah, thanks for trying to get me to cry again. But, um, I mean, it’s just so much hard work. Um, so much up and down in this game. Um, I mean, end of last year, my hand was bothering me and I really didn’t know what was coming next and I’ve really been in good form here lately and I just know everyone at home is watching and um, and I just can’t wait to go celebrate with them. Well, before you do that, you you’ve got yourself a ticket to Royal Port Rush. The Open Championship waits. What confidence do you take forward to both uh Northern Ireland and the rest of the season? I mean, I was a one-time champ, a two-time champ sounds a lot better on tour. And um yeah, I mean, I know what I’m capable of and I know when I feel the way I did today, I can I can beat the best and um it’s just awesome to get it done and I’m excited for the rest of the season. It’s a huge win. Many many congratulations. Thank you. Appreciate it. The champion is Chris Gautter. 15 under par was good enough to win by two. From Scotland from us all, hast you back. 1. Rory under pressure is classic Rory lol, he blows it. He just can't capitalize when someone is on his tail. Anyway, 2nd is no slouch, just wish he won 1st. Happy for Chris Gotterup!

  2. The PGA tour has the worst highlights in all of sports. The DP world tour is now close second. My God, this video shows nothing of what happened coming down the stretch. You barely showed Rory at all, and then skipped from the 16th hole to the 18th hole. we don't only want to see someone make a shot, we also need to see someone miss a shot. We need to see what happens competitively in the golf tournament. Please find someone who knows how to create highlights and hire them. those of us who missed the tournament live would really appreciate it. 🙏🏻

  3. Rory has one of the worst short games of any pro golfer of the past 50 years. If he didn’t hit the ball a billion miles off the tee, he wouldn’t even survive as a pro.

  4. CBS always pulling for Rory, showing his great shots from years past, always excusing his bad ones, is pathetic. AND WHY ARE CBS SENDING THEIR COMMENTATORS OVER THE POND
FOR AN EXPENSES PAID GOLFING HOLIDAY—NBC WILL BE THERE FOR NEXT FEW WEEKS, THEY ARE DOING NOTHING THIS WEEKEND—THE PRO CELEB CRAP DOES NOT COUNT,

  5. Better than the usual spoilers on golf channels on YouTube, perhaps learning from cycling? Go even better and show us some bad shots or missed putts. Every one goes in the hole 🥱

  6. The coverage this week was terrible. It was all about Rory, and the commentary from Wayne 'Radar' was horrendously forced and over the top. Speaking over every shot, telling grandpa Simpson stories, seriously someone give him some media training.

  7. Is Gotterup now considered the favorite to win the British Open–probably not but I didn't think he would win but that is why they actually play the game. as usual, the one who plays the best over all 4-rounds wins every time. CBS commentators, IMO, made it sound like Gotterup winning is a miracle. He was playing with McIlroy, he hadn't been in the top 10 of a tournament for some time, and how he was somehow ahead and also playing alongside McIlroy was astonishing. Should be interesting to see how well he does at the British Open and Scheffler won't win either.

  8. Une malchance pour Rory, ou une victoire voulue pour les américains ???ce jeune n’a pas maté Rory comme le disent les titres de certains médias.

  9. Great to see a golf tour that actually know how to put highlights in chronological order! A bit too heavy on the putting but at least you didn't spoil the result in the title or thumbnail – fake out was actually great!! Please help the PGA tour team out!

  10. Always like the Scottish open, it's on proper courses, and you have to be right on form and as lucky as hell to win it. It helps if you meet a leprechaun on the way to first tee, good luck Rory!
