Alongside me, Bob McIntyre. We’re playing the signature hole here at Robert Rush. Well, I’m not playing it. He’s playing it. This is Calamity, which is a long, daunting par three. Bob, first of all, when you stand on that T- box, how visually intimidating is is that? Yeah, it’s not the greatest sight. Um, but you know, it’s a it’s just a strong par three. Um, but it does it gives you a chance. It gives you room. Um, so I’m not too too worried as long as it’s not into a strong wind. If it’s if it’s the way it is just now, it’s it’s not too bad. Well, that’s the thing. Obviously, it is so wind dependent, but what way is the strategy for playing this? I mean, you don’t want to miss right. Obviously, the bailout area areas left. Yeah, exactly that. You just you’re hitting a shot to to allow yourself to miss it on the left hand side. Um, and for me there, it’s like right, we’re hitting a club that’s getting you past that front where where it’s absolutely dead and making sure that you’re left or if not just a little bit longer into the wind. And obviously with winds you don’t know how strong the wind could be into the wind. What what could you could you envision ever hitting having to hit 3wood or even 100%. I mean that I think that was 238 there today. Winds down out the right. So I’ve hit a four iron. Try to hold it against the against the wind. Um so yeah I mean if it’s if it’s into wind into a decent wind where you will hit a a 3-wood. Nothing no two ways about it. It will be a three-wood. Four threes here during the tournament. Do you snap your hand off for that now? I’ll take four threes on every par three in this golf course and right now when I’ll run. Speaking of this golf course, you post on Instagram this morning. This is your favorite Lynx golf course in the world. Why do you like it so much? I just think it’s it’s not often you get so many different angles of holes. Um a lot of times you play Lynx golf, it’s one way and one way, whereas this is very different. This is um yeah, I just think it’s it’s beautiful to the eye, but also test your your full game. Um, and again, you can’t fake it around to your T green. You’ve got to be got to be on it or it’s going to be a short week. And I always say to Shane, there’s this perception that, you know, if the wind comes in and the rain picks up, people always say, “Oh, Shane Larry’s a good bit. Bob McIntyre’s a good bit.” And Shane says, “But I hate playing in those conditions.” Are you the same? Does everyone say, “Oh, well, Bob McIntyre love the grim conditions.” But you’re actually thinking, “No, I’d much rather it was sunny.” Thank you very much. Yeah, it’s funny you say that. Shane lives in in Florida. Um, I don’t think you’d go outside if it was raining because it’s thunder and lightning as well. But look, we probably are used to it more than more than a lot of people, but again, I wouldn’t I wouldn’t want it. I would like a strong breeze. Yeah. To then manipulate the golf ball, but I wouldn’t fancy a double whammy of Yeah. wind and rain. I’ll take one of them. Yeah, exactly. Look, I know you already had immense self-belief anyway. But coming off the last major championship and just how close you got to getting your hands in that trophy, you must be arriving here full of confidence thinking there is no reason why I cannot have that my name in that clar jug come Sunday. Yeah, exactly. I mean I always knew I had the game. I just didn’t know if I could really compete at that level fully but or I didn’t know if I could win a major championship but that Oakmont confirms that I can. And if if a few things had fallen my side, yeah, I was going to walk away there as a US Open champion, it didn’t. And JJ done unbelievably well. And fair play to him. But yeah, I just believe that if I play my best stuff, I’ve got a chance. And listen, so many people have said Bob McIntyre, what a class act, applauding JJ Spawn as he holds the part to win the US Open. But I was like, that’s just Bob. It was it was never going to be anything else other than applaud him. Yeah, I was disappointed. I was gutted that it wasn’t my chance uh or my time, but I said at the start of the week, I think it was um that level par I thought would win the golf tournament and yeah, I almost done that. I played unbelievable golf for majority of the week and GJ was just better than me, better than everyone else. So, but another opportunity this week and that’s how you look at it. Exactly. Just very finally your grouping. I mean, there’s going to be a lot of eyeballs on it. Justin obviously you’ve got this bond for life having been partners at the last RDER Cup and he was dragged you through in that Friday when you didn’t have your best stuff in particular and then Bryson we all know what Bryson brings with him love him or hate him Marmite character but he’s always an entertainer. Yeah, it’s going to be good. It’s going to be good to to be in a a marquee group. Um hopefully we can all kind of pull each other along and all of us can can have a good two days and then set ourselves up for a good weekend. And that’s that’s all I hope for. Um I’m going to go out and prepare as well as I can the rest of today and tomorrow and then yeah come tournament days give it my best and hopefully see some good golf as well. I said finally I’ve got one more and finally see this little hollow we are down here. Bobby Lock the great Bobby Lock all four days of the 1951 Open Championship just bailed out. Got himself into that hollow got took us up and down. It’s not a bad spot to be that is it? Not again. Anything up this left side, even pin high left um isn’t too bad. It’s just anywhere. Yeah, but down there. But down there. Not bad view though, eh? It’s beautiful. Again, it’s it’s not far from home. You can almost see open on a clear day. I bet the other way I think it is that way. You’ve shown up my geography there way. Listen, have a great week. Thanks. Cheers, Bob.

Oh well, so much for that video's title, and you had every opportunity at the end of that walk. May I have that 5-minutes of my life back?
Bobby Mac looks 60 years old in that thumbnail. Poor lad!
Class act isn't he!
