Here’s Jeff Farles and Alex White. Good morning. Welcome in. It is Sports by the Book right at 10:00 in the morning as always here at the South Point studio. I’m Jeff Parl. She’s Alex White. Dumper got home for you last night. Yes, he did. Very um unlucky night for you, Jack. I just I I wish I had known that James Wood was going to have to go first. That does change things. And uh Rooker lost by an inch basically, which why do we not have a swing off? Like what are we doing here? Just do the swing off. It takes an extra three minutes as it is. Silly regardless. But uh Cal Raleigh of course wins the home run derby. We’ll more reaction later because we got to get right in uh to our guest here today. Uh our good buddy Wes Reynolds joins us right now. sports betting analyst, one of the best golf handicappers, not just in the country, but the entire planet. Uh one of the uh co-hosts of Long Shots as well. Wes, good morning. Uh you know, uh because we’re out on the West Coast, uh this event begins tomorrow for us uh over across the pond in Northern Ireland. Yeah. Well, we hope these selections don’t go in the dumper uh uh today. So, uh you know, hopefully we can get it going. uh final major of the year over here at Royal Port Rush. Very early uh very early for us here on the West Coast. So, uh uh get the peacock up and loaded. 100%. And Wes, just real quick, of course, we saw a previous British Open in recent memory, uh just before the pandemic, which honestly feels like it was not recent memory, but it was only six years ago last time they were here. And and you know, Wes, uh it was a fun event. And what what do you anticipate from this course this go around now that the guys are a little more familiar with seeing it at least in the recent past? Yeah, Jeff, even though we’re going to get some intermittent rain, I think really throughout the event over the weekend, uh the wind looks fairly benign compared to what we saw a couple years ago where on Thursday and especially if you remember that Sunday final round where Shane Lowry just kind of put it to bed and ran away from everybody, it was nasty weather. So that’s what you can always get in the open championship. But they haven’t had a lot of rain leading into this. It’s been a relatively warm summer over there in Northern Ireland. So I think that this course probably going to play a little bit firmer and faster. And you know, it’s a little bit different from some of the other open courses in the fact that if you’ve watched the open in the past, you see these guys, they can run these shots onto the greens and, you know, bump and run a little bit. You can’t really do that here because these greens at Royal Port Rush are elevated and and they’re very small. They’re about 5,400 square feet on average. So, you got to fly the balls onto the green and and really land them there because they have these runoffs which are going to really test your short game if you can’t hit these greens in regulation, which is uh tougher to do than I think a lot of the average courses in the open road. And then you have various angles and elevation changes. The greens are kind of tricky. They’re going to be super slow like they usually are 10 on the stint meter. So, you know, the the pot putts it seems like they’re going to take forever to get to the hole, but you know, it’s a it’s a Lynx course and and that’s what it is. So, you do have some similarities to other courses in the ROA. Fairways are a little bit narrow, but not a lot of thick rough really to give these guys any trouble. Wes, we’ve got Scotty, Rory, and John Rom has really worked his way back um to have some of the shortest odds and be one of the best in the world again. Any of those three that you are betting on for this weekend? Well, I can’t really make a case against Scotty or Rory really any single week. And Rory, a former Open champion, played very well in Scotland, even though he finished runner up to Chris Gddup last week. But John Rom is the only one of those three that I did bet. I got a little bit better number than market at 16 to1. I know he’s 12 pretty much across the board. He hasn’t even won this year. It’s It’s been a winless campaign for Rahm, but I think he’s rediscovered his game in the majors. He finished top 10 at the PGA, finished top 10 at Oakmont for the US Open, seventh or better in three of his last four open championships. And I like how he played on Sunday, even though I don’t think either of these leading events, whether it was Liv Valdderama or the Scottish Open at Renaissance, are really like what you would call quote unquote good prep necessarily for this event. But to shoot 65 on a tough golf course on Sunday. He finished one short of Taylor Gu is a pretty good sign for John Rom. And he’s not been playing badly, he just hadn’t been closing the deal. But this is the guy that’s got the game to win here. No question about it. Wes, let’s go to another name that uh actually Robbie Callen brought up a week ago and that’s Victor Havlin who had a good showing over the weekend at at the Scottish Open. Still looking to bust through in the to win his first major. We have he seen him historically play well on these links courses. Yeah, we have. And uh no worse than 13th in any of his three other open appearances. Putting aside that misgut last year. Here’s the story with Victor. He’s always tinkering with the swing. You know, he kind of gets inside his own head and tries to be a perfectionist instead of just being who he is, which is one of the best players in the world. The short game is usually seen as the weakness, but second around the greens at the US Open and ninth for scrambling last week at the Scottish where he finished T11. First time at Royal Port Rush, but he’s got some good history on these Harry Colt designs. If you look at Wetworth, where they host the BMW PGA Championship over on the DP World Tour, fifth in 2022 and fifth in 2023. I think the guy’s ready and he was right in the mix. I had him at the US Open. Just couldn’t get over the hump there on Sunday. couldn’t really hit a hit a good wedge. He just his wedge game kind of disappeared on Sunday. But he’s got the game and I think he’s got the temperament and I think he’s got the confidence coming in at least this week. Two other names that I have heard and you like them as well. Terrell Hatton and then Bobby McIntyre. What do you like about these two this weekend? Yeah, Hatton Alex off his fourth or best really career major championship finish. He was T4 at the US Open at Oakmont. If you’ve watched Hatton before, he’s a bit of a hothead. He gets a little bit illtempered out there and uh discouraged off bad shots, but I think he kept it together on a really hard setup there at at Oakmont. So, that’s an encouraging sign. He’s already won this year. He won in Dubai, four other worldwide top fives. Really good lynx pedigree, too. The Alfred Dunhill Lynx Championship is kind of the equivalent on the DP World Tour to like the Pebble Beach ProAm that we see here state side in February where you play on three different courses and he’s won that event three times which is at St. Andrews at Carnoui. So he’s got a lot of links pedigree. So I think Hatton, he’s one of those guys that’s kind of getting up there on that best player never to win a major list and he is certainly a part of that or at least on the short list as is I think Robert McIntyre who was six here at Port Rush on his open debut in 2019. Now six years later he’s a two-time PGA Tour winner, one at the RBC Canadian Open last year at Hamilton. Another Harry Colt design. Pretty good Lynx player as well. fifth at the Irish Open last year at Royal County down and he’s from Scotland so he’s been playing Lynx golf his entire life and also the fact that he finished runner up to JJ Spawn at the US Open last month that finally I think gave McIntyre that taste of like being right there in the thick of a major and I think most players whatever level you kind of need that one time when you fall a little bit short in a major where you get that taste it’s like okay I was in the hunt for something really big came up short and usually that’s going to give you good preparation and really uh great motivation obviously for the next timeout. So I think Bobby Mack’s going to go very well this week. Well, also too, Wes, uh McIntyre is a virtual unknown in 2019. Fired a top 10 in this event at Royal Port Rush 6 years ago. So, uh a good course history as well for the lefty as Wes said just short in the US Open a month ago. Uh Wes Reynolds with us right now. Of course, one of the best golf handicappers on the planet joining us now. And I I want to go to Russell Henley who who just feels like every tournament now. Wes, everyone has at least a little piece of Henley. Uh here at the South Point, uh Chris and company opened him at 70 to1. He’s down to 45 to1 as always. Shop around, look for the best price, especially in these golf tournaments. Uh what do you think of Henley this week uh at Royal Port Rush? Yeah, I think he could go well, Jeff. Uh, this season has been probably his banner season on the PGA Tour, even though he’s been out there a while. Won at the Arnold Palmer down in Bay Hill in Orlando. Uh, biggest win of his career in a signature event against a really top flight field. Eight top 10s in 14 starts. Uh, comes in, was fifth at the Memorial, was 10th in the US Open, was second at the Travelers, and really a disappointing second at the Travelers because that tournament was there for the taking. It was between him and Tommy Fleetwood and Keegan Bradley and he just couldn’t he just didn’t make the shots on on the back nine wasn’t aggressive enough but fifth at Royal Trune here last year in the open. Really good around the green and really good on approach which is what I think you have to be this week. I think off the tea probably less important than approach and your short game because the it’s links golf you can hit it a little bit all over the place off the tea and I don’t think you necessarily have to be a bomber to succeed here. So, uh Russell Henley, you know, ne never has obviously won a major, but I thought how he performed at Oakmont, he’s shown that he can contend. Now, can he get home? We shall see. But Russell Henley’s uh really been in good form and I think it’s kind of raised his level in terms of his play being now a top 10 guy in the world rankings. Someone else right there I just had Matt Fitzpatrick. What are his odds about 30 to1 now open 50 to1 here at the South Point also leaning to him. I mean one of the guys probably in your portfolio. Why do you like Fitzpatrick this weekend? Yeah. Yeah. I had Fitz last week too in Scotland. just uh he got hot to start that back nine, but then made a costly bogey and then he had to settle for T4. But I bet Fitz actually a few weeks ago here at the Open just because he’s starting to kind of find his game again. Last year he was terrible. He was nowhere. He had I think two top 10 finishes overall worldwide. Now he’s got two top 10s in his last two events, including that T4 in Scotland. It’s kind of peaking at the right time. Uh if you remember, he had a caddy by the name of Billy Foster who he won the US Open with at the Country Club at Brooklyn up in Massachusetts back in 2022 and they had a good run together, but that’s what sometimes happens on the tour with player caddy relationships. It gets a little stale and you need a new voice. So he made the switch around the the players championship back in March and let go of Billy Foster who’s actually on calling Marawa’s bag this week and he’s going with Daniel Parad. He was actually they were kind of switching off Pat and Foster early in the season, but he went with this new caddy and I think he’s been in a more positive frame of mind. You’re starting to see him play well. I we talked about those top 10s in Scotland and Detroit, top 10 at the PGA, led the field in putting actually at Oakmont uh uh for the US Open even though he wasn’t in contention at the end for the win. But Mat Fitzpatrick, uh, you know, he’s got the game and he’s added he’s added power over the last couple years, which, you know, you have to do, I think, to compete week in and week out on these tours. But Matt Fitzpatrick, I I I think should go very well this week. He’s an aces putter, too. So, he putts very well on these slow greens where his game is almost where you feel like he’s going to make it every time. So, Matt Fitzpatrick on the card this week. Uh let’s go to Keegan Bradley, who of course uh won a few weeks ago at the Travelers. Uh the captain of the RDER Cup team, might be a playing captain when this is all said and done uh on Long Island in September. Uh what are we looking at this week with Keegan here at the Open? Yeah, I think he should be a plane captain already. Uh, we were able to win with him at the Travelers as Tommy Fleetwood kind of spilled some milk there, fumbled the bag a little bit on 18 and we benefited with Bradley. I think he should already be on the team. But if he can at least contend here, let alone win, then obviously there’s no discussion here. Five of the top 10s, by the way, including at the PGA, aside from that Travelers win, he’s never really contended here. He’s been kind of hit or miss. I think he’s I think he’s like 5 for 10 in terms of cuts made here at the open, but he’s starting to contend on a more regular basis. And even with the RDER Cup captaincy and all the responsibilities that that that entails and all the planning and having to evaluate who’s going to be on your team and whatnot, he has still been focused on his game and he has been playing very well. He he did win last fall at the BMW, won at the Travelers, so he’s starting to be consistently on more and more leaderboards. So Keegan Bradley, I did not think he’s not a guy you think of when you think of the Open Championship. I did not think I was on him, but he popped in a few different statistical categories, especially with this iron play. So Keegan Bradley makes it a little bit of a longer price. Wes, I like your list here. Really good golfers on these Lynx courses. If you had to pick one or two that are your favorite, whether it is just because of the price or you want to see them win there first, who would it be? Yeah, I I I probably have to go with Rom. I I just have to go with the pedigree, even though he’s he’s a little bit shorter now than than when I played him. I would probably say Rahm. And I would also say Matt Fitzpatrick. I I’m I’m going to stick with my gut here. I know that he’s become kind of popular and you get a little worried when some of these future guys come become popular, but I gotta stick with my gut. I tabbed him several weeks ago. I said I’m definitely betting him and went ahead and placed a ticket at a really good price on the opener. Uh so I I I I think he’s going to go well uh this week. I just have that feeling that he’s due for one where he’s at least going to he’s either going to win or he’s really going to contend and be close in a major championship. I think the frame of mind, the caddy switch, like everything kind of seems to be firing in the right direction. Wes, uh, any 100 to one plus long shots you looking at this week? Yeah, one I did play and I I hate to say obvious long shot because, you know, a guy triple digits, it’s still a long shot. I don’t care if it’s obvious or not, but Tom McKibben, uh, who I think you could get north of 100 to one pretty much everywhere. He’s actually a member here at Royal Port Rush. He’s only 22 years old from Northern Ireland. Joined Liv earlier this year. He’s part of a I don’t really follow the team aspect of Liv, whatever the team name is, of John Rom, who’s the captain of it. So, John Rom is a big endorser of this kid’s game. So, if he’s an endorser of your game, then you know you have something there. Uh he’s been playing good golf on the Live Tour. He’s got uh top fives in his last two events. Was fifth in Dallas, was fourth last weekend at Paul Dorama. uh six top seven finishes worldwide this season. Just has a lot of pedigree here. And I just saw that the tea times were released this morning and he’s the first out which I think is actually very good to get off to a good start here because one thing with the open guys, you worried that there’s a little bit of a draw bias and if there’s weather usually it’s a little bit more calm in the morning from a wind standpoint than as you get to later in the afternoon. So draw biases more than any other event can affect the open championship. I think I did a good job of splitting them where I got half in the morning and half going off in the afternoon because I’ve had open championships in the past where I’m just on the wrong side of the draw and then you’re going in the week and it’s like I got no chance to win this thing. So uh keep that in mind obviously as you’re looking at your tea times and checking the weather forecast throughout the week. And as we know, this event, the weather is uh the one that can rear its ugly head more than any of the majors just based off the weather pattern uh across the pod weather, Northern Ireland or uh just the uh Great Britain, the uh the entire continent there. All right. Uh he’s Wes Reynolds. Get him on the tweets. Wes Reynolds one. Uh again, one of the best golf handicappers there is. Uh you see him on Long Shots as well. Wes, pleasure for for to have you this morning. Thanks for uh taking the time and uh good luck this weekend and I know you’ll be up overnight watching this thing over the the first few days. Yeah, same to you guys. Thanks for having me, Jeeoff and Alex. Absolutely. Wes Reynolds, everyone. All right, we are going to take a quick break. All right, big thanks to Wes Reynolds for hopping on with us today. Trivia question in the bottom. It is uh actually already answered, so sorry uh for everyone in the uh in the bottom, but we’ll tell you that in a little bit. All right, let’s uh let’s go to some Major League Baseball uh of of all-star game here, Alex. So tonight at Truis Park in Atlanta, Georgia where you got Tariq Scubble starting for the American League and Paul Ske starting for the NL. The NL is the smallest of favorites minus 110 total of seven. But Alex, I I’m just going to throw this out to you here because this is pretty hard to do this from a traditional sense. All these pitchers are going to go one inning max. It’s just the way it is. You have nine nine maybe 10 pitchers on each side. Uh the total is low at seven. uh the no runs in the first inning the wor I mean I’ve seen it as ridiculous as minus 160 in the for no run which is crazy obviously but know in the pitchers but I you’re looking more to getting a little more creative here tonight with this game because the regular angles are just difficult. Yeah, I’m looking down the down the board here at an MVP um seeing if I can find an angle there. Now, I do kind of lean to the NL site. And if you look at the list of pitchers who have opt out, I think there’s more in the American League that they could really use with Crochet. Um, I’m going to have to pull that up. A few more that I I would like to see actually play and would trust them more. Deg Grom is another one. Um, Kikuchi. So, I think that really the NL has a little bit of an advantage pitching wise. Um, Wheeler will be going. Um, and then I also do think that they have an advantage with the bats. So, first I’m looking down the list looking for somebody for MVP. Looking at the National League side first, but I am going to put a small flyer on somebody in the AL, but we’ll get to that. Do you have a cider that you are leading? Do you agree with that with the National League? I don’t know. I don’t know. It’s We’re handicapping an exhibition game. It’s hard. It’s I’m like, look, there’s a different because there’s exhibitions going on here in town in the summer league, but that’s a little bit different because you have guys playing for ro for for training camp invitees and potential to maybe even be good enough to make a like, hey, this guy was awesome in summer league. You know what? We’re going to consider him being on our roster more so than being a two-way guy. Like, there’s there’s a lot more at stake here. It’s just so difficult this day and age to figure out what to do. The only angle that I am willing to go and his numbers are too short here in the MVP way of it. And we saw this in 2013, 12 years ago, Mariano Rivera in his final all-star game was given the MVP. If Clayton Kershaw comes out, who again, he’s only in this game because Rob Manford put him in as a as what what a legacy Allstar is what it was technically. whatever it’s called. 60 to1 is the number, which I think is pretty darn short in all honesty. But if Kershaw throws a scoreless inning with multiple strikeouts in it and the National League wins, we could see, especially if it’s like a 3-1 game, we could see something ridiculous like that. So, the only angle that is the only angle I can think of that makes sense at least. I mean, look, Duran won it last year at 150 to1 coming off the bench for the American League, right? So, like, do you look at someone coming off the bench? But here’s the problem, though. The books have learned from last year and have completely sliced all the the the position players down. So, I almost impossible to find a a a good angle here other than that. the only one I can think of narrative based with Kershaw, but that’s going to take the NL winning plus Kershaw throwing an inning that he is dominant in, which he could, especially if he faces the right part of the order, plus a lowcoring game potentially, which I’m kind of leaning to the over there. Oh, you are. Well, I mean, it’s we saw yesterday in Atlanta, it’s hot, it’s hitting conditions as I mentioned. I mean, a bunch of the top guys are not pitching, so think that we’ll be able to I don’t know, see some runs. That’s the way I’m leaning. I really have no idea either, but I was thinking a Cubby might be the winner. And it is a starter with Kyle Tucker at 30 to1. I thought those were pretty good odds. I do not hate your Kershaw. I might have to add that in there. But my last uh one for the AL, if the AL was to win, I do think it would probably be a lowercing game. And maybe they keep Ryan Woo in a little bit longer since they don’t have a few of the AL pitchers like Deg Grom and Freed and Crochet. So maybe we keep it a whole Mariners All-Star weekend here and Brian Woo gets the MVP at 200 to one is what I found him at. No, that would be that would be fun. That would be fun. I I just it’s so hard at this point. It’s really mostly an unbettable event at this rate. mostly. But yeah, we can find like again just these small like you’re betting two betting 3/10en of a unit here today. Like just just keep it keep it small. Yes. Uh if you’re betting uh the uh the Major League Baseball All-Star game. Uh yesterday Cal Rally got home. I still don’t know why they didn’t do this. Like why not a swing off with him and Rooker? It just legitimately was inches was the difference between Kyle Raleigh being eliminated in round one and then going on to win the thing with honestly an unbelievable performance in round two and round and the final. Uh even though I thought I thought Camro had a had a real shot of catching him in that final just ran out of steam. Alex won our contest pretty easily. Uh but uh in the end uh the dumper who is big dumper’s had a a an amazing year going to set the record for most homers by a catcher in a season pretty easily. Uh adds the home run derby uh trophy and chain to his mantle with that win last night. Really cool first catcher and we talked about that yesterday kind of being concerned with that that no catcher has ever won and yeah really good job. I thought it was really cool with his dad and his brother and them talking about the brother at the end so much really like pumping him up the entire time. I wonder if uh that changes things moving forward if more people try and get that approved or if they just say you can’t do that from here on out. But oh more more fun is better. I think so. I think everybody really enjoyed it. Just just do it. I wouldn’t if anyone complains about that. Come on. It’s the home run derby. Let’s uh let’s be real with ourselves here. Uh but you know it’s it’s interesting uh just seeing that event. I I don’t know if this current format makes a ton of sense. Uh but again it goes back to what we saw in in the past the 10 out format. People got it got stale. Yep. It just might be a consistent shifting of the rules over basically every two three years more likely than not. All right let’s go to the W real quick. Alex here today uh just because Clark is in action and Indiana’s only a 16-point road favorite tonight. But hey, the Sun won as an 18 and a half point underdog last week at home against the Seattle Storm. Their Ray Clark props as Vinnie mentioned of course last week. Uh Clark drives the action here. Alex, I have to imagine there’s not really a great betting angle here with this being a 16-point line and a road with a road team other than All right, maybe you just take points and hope Connecticut played them tough for the whole 40. Yeah, I don’t I mean nothing for me in this one. Of course, we just have today and tomorrow before their all-star break and then their all-star game will be on Saturday. So, I mean got to play tough down the stretch and the Fevers still need every win they can get. Sitting at 11 and 10, right? still trying to secure their playoff spot. So, it’s hard to just grab the points there with the Sun. And of course, the WNBA All-Star game is in Indianapolis. So, of course, it is uh this year, by the way, five games tomorrow. We will look at those five games here on the show tomorrow. And then one last one, just for just to give everyone the numbers. Uh LA’s a one-point favorite against Washington. If the playoffs started today, Washington would be in. They would be the seven seed right now. Now, the Las Vegas Aces would be out entering today’s action. Uh again, what the Valkyries have done, even with two straight losses, they’ve already gone over their win total. Not even halfway home, they already went over their win total. Uh uh to say the very least, uh a very impressive year for Golden State. And uh Nasi’s got to be the coach of the year. If Golden State makes the playoffs, I don’t even think it’s an argument that you and I were talking before the year. That roster is one of the most oddly constructed rosters I can ever remember in any professional sports team. And Natalie Nassi’s got him at 10 and 11 with a win total of eight and a half going into the year. Uh I I think that if you get to 20 wins with this team, she should run away and hide with coach of the year in the WNBA. Kind of is like football when you when you lose both coordinators, right? And that’s what the aces have gone gone through and now here here we are with the Becky Hammond tree. But I’m with you. I definitely think uh she’s in the running for coach of the year. Yeah. Really at this point, realistically speaking, uh it’s it’s really just her and Nate Tibbitz are really the two arguments. Tibbitz of course coaching uh Phoenix who’s had a great start to the year. We thought they would be a playoff team. We didn’t think they’d be a top caliber team like they’ve been so far this year. I think those are your your two choices right now for coach of the year in the WNBA. All right, we’re going to take a quick break. When we get back, we’ll give you the trivia answer. We’ll uh see what makes the whiteboard for Alex here today as well. And then uh we’ll we’ll say goodbye on a Tuesday because uh we’ll tell you what’s coming the rest of this week. We got to prepare. A lot of fun stuff coming the rest of the week here on Sports by the Book. South Point Casino has plenty of attractions for the whole family. Catch a movie. Our 16 screen movie theater includes two XD extreme screens for the ultimate in viewing sound and luxury. After the show, treat the family to a variety of treats at our oldfashioned ice cream parlor, Kate’s Corner. We scoop up a variety of creamy concoctions, including smoothies, hand dipped cones, milkshakes, malts, sodas, and sundaes. At Kate’s, there’s something for everyone. And if you’ve still got time to spare, our bowling center might be right up your alley. Voted best of Las Vegas, it’s a great place for friends and family fun. 64 lanes, a pro shop, snack bar, and arcade. And while the kids are bowling, you can play slots and sip on a drink in the alleycat lounge while overlooking the lanes. For our more serious and professional bowlers, the South Point is also home to a separate tournament bowling plaza. Sports by the book. Sports by the book. Sports by the book. Sports by the book. South Point Studio. We don’t make stuff up yet. I would only play the Pirates team total going under. What the hell happened to Minnesota’s pitching? This total has really crashed without plumbing the lineup. I think this number’s too high, but they’re landing me to six. Oh, I know. Caitlyn Clark drives handle on the WNBA. [Music] Never mind all these Mickey Mouse other stations. We are giving you hands-on information. [Music] [Applause] Welcome back in. Wrapping things up here on a Tuesday morning here on Sports by the Book. Jeff Parles, Alex White. Big thanks to our guy Wes Reynolds for hanging out with us this morning. Trivia time. This is a little more uh uh a little more complex uh here. Vince still getting making them difficult for everyone. So on this date, and this is again very odd that this was a mid-season, but that was where the construction is, Mariners and the Padres’s played the inaugural game at Safeco Field, which is now, of course, T-Mobile Park up in the Pacific Northwest in Seattle. Who threw out the first pitch and who caught the ceremonial first pitch? Uh Dave Kne House, of course, one of the best play-by-play guys of all time, was the one who threw out the first pitch, and he threw it out to Tom Foley, who was actually the former speaker of the house, uh from Washington State. Uh, of course, uh, A-Rod and and Griffy were on the team at that point. Uh, but there you go. Look at look at Dave ready for the moment. Uh, right there. Uh again, uh one of the one of the most highly regarded ballparks, obviously for us, the best pitchers park in baseball, when we’re looking at numbers, but a park that is highly regarded as one of the best in Major League Baseball. Nick’s got his fifth win in a row. So Nick running it up on JR. He’s J.R. he’s running up the score on you. He’s running the score up on JR uh here after winning the month of June. Nick looking to win the month of July as well. So there we go. That’s uh your trivia qu question and answer for today. All right, Alex, a little bit different looking for the whiteboard here on a Tuesday just because not a ton going on, Alex. Uh got this is what we call the longshot whiteboard here. Yes, it is on the uh on the show on a Tuesday. Well, and as Jeff mentioned, I am not betting a lot on either of these by any means, but going for my MVP here with Kyle Tucker for the National League at 30 to one and Brian Woo 200 to one if the AL wins. That one’s really a long shot. And then um so far for the Open Championships, I added two to my portfolio with Robert McIntyre at 33 to1 and Russell Henley at 50 to1. I’m going to go back and if anybody else wants to and rewatch our show from Friday with Robbie and re-watch Wes because we did have to get him out of here pretty quickly, but and listen to all of those and really listen to the breakdowns because I need some top 20s in my portfolio. Yeah, I I’m going to be on Victor Havlin and just trying to I need to find who’s got the best number here in town at this point. uh feels like this is the week of uh finally busts through, but be some top 20s again as well. As you you mentioned, those are good markets to bet in golf. All right, that’s what we got for you here today. Tomorrow on the show, our NFL soft launch for 2025. Uh we’ll go through all the we’ll go through all the odds that are available. Uh we won’t have a lot of picks tomorrow, but we’re at least getting everyone set for what’s coming in the NFL for 2025. look through all the the divisional odds, Super Bowl odds, conference odds, some awards to look at as well tomorrow on the show. Uh and then Thursday will be our second half MLB preview. So, a lot of previewing coming these next two days uh here on the show. Shout out to everyone who watched us. Shout out to the crew led by our good friend Ryan McCormack as always, Jerry Drew Dog and Vince and Jerry. We are back tomorrow, same time, same place right here. Sports by the book, South Point Studio. Good luck if you’re betting the All-Star game Tonight. [Applause] [Music]
