Caitlyn, I stand here with you today, the luckiest guy in the world. Getting to marry my person, my best friend. From our first date, you made me feel safe, calm, and free to be myself. I knew I had found something special and didn’t want to let it go. Chris, when I first saw you on a breakfast date, I had no idea it would lead me to this moment. But as the date continued and we chatted, I couldn’t believe how comfortable I was with you. You made me feel so special from the start, and you do every single day. Over the last 3 and 1/2 years, you have brought so much joy, laughter, and love into my life. Your smile, laugh, selflessness, and care for others are just a few of the many things that I love about you. You are so generous, loving, and go above and beyond in everything you do. You always put me first, and I couldn’t be more thankful for that. I can’t believe I marry my soulmate, my true companion. I can picture my dad talking to your mom in heaven saying, “Hey, I have a wild, crazy, sassy daughter.” and your mom saying, “Well, I have a loving, kind, and thoughtful son. Let’s put them together.” And that’s what they did. We are truly a match made in heaven. I promise to listen not just to your words, but to your heart. Even when I want to fix things, I can’t. I am so excited to start our adventure together and cannot wait to see what life has in store for us. You are my best friend and I am so thankful for you and can’t believe you chose me. promise to wake up every day and choose you on the good days, the bad days, and the ordinary days.
