    Yeah, because there is less wear and tear on Augusta

    Edit: players stand in the same spot constantly pushing off the surface and returning back to the same spot. No play area on golf turf gets that much abuse.

    They aren’t going to replace the section either, it won’t root and thus won’t be a safe area for an athlete to generate ground force in a safe manner to push off and move. Golf movements =/= tennis movements. I don’t even play tennis, but I know turf and basic physics.

    I actually see a lot of pro-golfers and people involved in pro-golf at elite Tennis events, do you think there’s some like, extra appreciation there because the set up of both sports are kind of similar? Obviously the games themselves are extremely different but the structure of both professional games is very similar. Individual sport, set up in a global tour style, centered around 4 major events.
