DC does Stonewell play today, a seven under par round of 64. You’re three under for the tournament. Can you just talk us through your round today? What part of your game felt felt good today? Um, I mean, pretty much when you when you shoot that score around here, everything’s working pretty well. But, you know, I drove it well, gave myself a lot of opportunities, and then, you know, just wedged it really close. Didn’t um I made two really good putts on seven and eight for par, but other than that, you know, I had a lot of really good looks at birdie. And then, you know, most of my birdies I made were were from really short range. I just hit a lot of quality uh you know, wedge shots and gave myself a lot of opportunities. You’ve won every year on live golf. Uh you’re still chasing your first win this season. How close do you feel you are to to pulling it all together? Yeah, I mean today obviously was a was a really good score. You know, I feel like my game’s been really good the last month and a half or so. just haven’t really seen the results that I feel like I I should be shooting. And, you know, today was nice to actually, you know, put together a really solid round. I feel like I’m swinging really good. I got a lot of confidence in everything I’m doing. So, um, yeah, I’m very pleased with the score and obviously, you know, don’t know where I’ll how many back I’ll be, you know, starting tomorrow, but I got a chance. Any questions from the media? So, so DJ, you were talking about how you weren’t you felt like you were playing well, but you weren’t really getting to score. Were you feeling frustrated at all? How how were you dealing with that? I mean, yeah, it definitely gets frustrating when you feel like you’re you’re playing really good golf, you’re just not getting the results that that you think you should be getting with the the way you’re playing and the way you’re swinging at it. Um, so it was a little bit frustrating, but you know, I’ve just been I’ve been working on it and yeah, I mean, I feel like the game’s, you know, the swing’s really good. You know, seeing a lot of, you know, hitting a lot of really good shots. It’s just, you know, seems like every time I missed one, it was either, you know, it’s just always in the wrong spot or at the wrong time. And you know it just you know today finally I mean I didn’t hit you know didn’t hit every shot great but you know my misses were in the right spots and you know gave myself opportunities to get up and down or save pars. Equipment wise have you felt like you’ve been searching for things essentially all season? Uh no. I mean I really haven’t changed much um you know equipment wise. I mean, I put it with a few different putters, but that’s that’s fairly normal. But I still always go back to to the spider and um but yeah, I mean, I felt like, you know, I rolled it nice today, but you know, I made two really crucial putts, like I said, on seven and eight from par, which kind of, you know, keeps the round going. And yeah, just, you know, played uh made a nice couple nice up and downs there on, you know, finishing. One last question. And can you just kind of take us through earlier in the day obviously having to come back uh you ended with a couple of bogeies. What did you how did you regroup after that? Well, I I still I mean even like yesterday obviously yesterday the conditions were were extremely difficult. You know felt like I played really well and then um you know was two over which which wasn’t a bad score and then you know felt like coming out this morning that I you know got had three holes left. hit a nice shot in to two and then you know just missed a couple pots. So, I mean it was uh you know you know but I still felt like I was swinging good. So, I knew I could come out you know this afternoon and and shoot a really good score. Obviously didn’t finish how I wanted to. So, I was I was a little frustrated with with the way I finished this morning, you know, especially with it not playing very tough uh first thing. Uh so, but uh yeah, I mean it was just one of those things just had to forget about it. Go out and try to try to shoot a good score.
