The sheriff. Pat the sheriff on the mound made his 100th career start on July 4th right here at target field against the Tampa Bay Rays. The twins got the win in that one. They had lost seven of his previous eight starts. He’s thrown the ball well, though 10 in the air center field for Bader, Bader, drifting back pedaling under it makes the catch and again, Danny, an efficient two pitch out against this aggressive cubs team, Kyle Tucker. Now the hitter lines this one to left center field, Bader nearly the same spot makes the two handed grab a couple of lineouts to center half Tucker, both disposed of and Suzuki will be the hitter drilled out to right center field. Boehner coming on. Can’t make the catch. Suzuki will take the turn but he will hang on at first. Boehner. The gold glover gave it a shot but couldn’t come up with it. There you go. Let’s go, Royce get over there. I popped up enough of those to know a boy and a great start. Chris Paddock twins, hitters know that Colin Ray throws a lot of first pitch strikes, first pitch strike percentage. Third best. And MLB among those with at least 80 innings pitched, his walk rate is a good bit better than league average and he gives you the kitchen sink first pitch swinging Castro of the year left center Pete Crow Armstrong and there’s one away swing and a miss strength three nice changeup by Colin Ray. A split finger pitch there from Colin Ray at 88 MPH. This is a pitch that will generate some, some chase for him and also could hit on the ground a good bit. Flambeau to center. This is gonna be handled by Pete Crowe Armstrong and Colin Ray works a 1 to 2 to 3 1st inning 14 game on base street. Dansby hitting 333 over that stretch. Since that one out into left center field, it will touch down for a hit and Dansby cruising into second and it’s a one out aa man in scoring position, get a rise out of the cup fans here in the ballpark this afternoon short lead by Dansby as Niko will to drive him in. They have not gotten a big hit or the two out hit. This would be a good time for Niko to come through up the middle and it eats up Lee into center field. Watson around third Dan delivers and it’s one, a big two out knock and the Cubs get a lead, be able to get on it but to secure the baseball, the ball find a way to knock that down. Ryan Jefferson been absolutely on fire. The last four games seven for 10 , this ball hit well in the air to center field, Pete Armstrong on the move, he won’t get it, plays it off the wall and it dies at the base of the wall allowing Jeffers to open his second base with a leadoff double team high 17th double for Ryan Jeffers. Jeffers continues his torrid ways at the plate pitch wide ball four. Now at 1st and 2nd two on for Carlos Correa. Carlos is appearing in his seventh game against the Cubs and he has at least one hit in every one of his previous six ground ball to short tough play Swanson Gloves. It throws to second for one over to first a double play. What a play by Dansby, a tricky hop as he was going up the middle, he reacted quickly Then made a very nice backhanded flip to home on the bag and a quick turn by Nikko creates a 643 double play and what a double play it was Clemens hitting two and three but he’s dangerous with 10 home runs. He’s driven in 22. Clemons gets jammed, pops it up innings going to end corner makes the catch great defense for the Cubs. That’s been one of the real trademarks of this team all season long line drive base hit right field that one towards the corner. Walner over to dig it out and King tuck into second with a double here. Now it’s Pete Crow Armstrong. This is drilled center field Bader back back some more near the wall. Johnson has gone. Armstrong will touch them all. And the Cubs add on as it is 30. Number 24 for PC A. That’s exactly what Cubs needed. Cubs need a big swing in the bat and that’s it. Kelly with the start behind the dish catcher rank 832. PS fourth best in MLB and that was a real issue last year. They were 26 that falling and it falls for a hit to right center and Carson Kelly cruises into second with a double man that was in the air for a long time scratching my head saying how is this ball not caught? Takes a bad route? Look committed the whole way as he’s running over there, he’s like, come on Harrison, you go get it. You’re not me but 1 to 2 line drive that’s a base hit into right field. Kelly had to hold up for a second and Nikko is two out of 21 down 1st and 3rd and it’s matt Shaw Cubs lead 3 to 0 looking for more here in the fourth in the air to center field Bader in makes the catch. Kelly will tag. He’s coming home throw is cut. Kelly is in. It’s a sacrifice fly for Matt Shaw and it’s how do you like them pineapples paddock with the single and now the walk here in the middle of the ball game Cubs up 4 to 0 cubs with eight hits in the game. Michael Busch drew up. He’s zero for two for Michael Bush. He said brothers and sisters here, mom and dad and Then teachers in the House as well. That one flared into center and that’s a base hit coming around third and in to score Suzuki and RB I single for Michael Bush and the Cubs lead it 50. Yeah, they’re proud. All right. Hits in each game of the series for Michael a little six game hitting streak 1st and 3rd for Swanson line drive base hit left field. Dansby Swanson knocks in PC A and it’s 6 to 0. And I think those risky issues for Dansby are in the rearview mirror and now to a board with one out the pitch to Carson Kelly base hit into left field and Barry is going to hold up, Michael Bush, the bases will be loaded. So the hit parade continues here. Bases loaded. This gapper here could really put this game on a reach infield in for Minnesota Horner at the plate right handed. Batter hits out of a crouch groundball dive stop by Lewis. He’ll get up, come to home. Nice play there forces out the runner at home. Lewis dive to his left on the grass and it quickly came up only to get the one out at home. Good decision there by Royce Lewis. It was a really nice play, Danny. That’s not a play that a guy has an opportunity to execute very often popped up right side. Brooks Lee out Clemens out. It’s going to be Lee calling and catching the damage is done and you’ve got a veteran and Colin Ray, he knows how to fill up the strike zone. Now with a six nothing lead. Here’s cody Clemens popped up the second base. His only at bat hit high in the air right field, tough play. Long run. Looking to look up and go. Twins are on the board with a Clemens home run his 11th of the year. Cody Clemens with a deep drive over that big wall in right field to get the twins first run of the game 104.6 off the bat. 406 on the distance. Castro swings. Lukes one shallow left, drifting back. Swanson backhanded diving. Catch what a play by Dansby Swanson. Excellent range out. Number three Brooks Lee. Now he was named after brooks because they didn’t want to call him Brockley check swing. That’s going to be strike three Lee strikes out out number two Conray notching another strikeout fourth of the day broken back ground ball to the second baseman Horner. He’ll flip the 1st 123 for Colin re six strong innings for Colin another good game Armstrong here. I like the way, Pete Crow Armstrong hangs in there against left handers. The fires swing at a high fly ball well struck right field that’s back and it’s gone. He’s done it again, Pete Armstrong his second of the day. And it is all Cubs here in Minneapolis 71 and the PC a chance here in Minnesota and now a chance to swing again. Strike three check, swing by Correa down. He goes and that is out number two. And the pitch to Cody Clemens here it is swing and a miss strike 33 up, three down, maybe the best inning so far of Colin Ray seven strong innings. About three homers off three different pitchers. Yes, would like that base hit up the middle. Suzuki around second. He’s not stopping PC. A hustling for second and he’s in as Bader went down hard as he tried to plant and it will end up being a double for Pete Crow Armstrong. A hustle double. How about that? 7 to 1 ball game in the ninth inning? I think he was surprised to see PC A moving, had to plant in a hurry and stepped on a banana, peel up the middle. What a play Correa and he steals a hit from Michael Bush run. Comes in. What a play by Carlos Correa, Shanny Michael up the middle and brilliant play by Correa. Busy settles for the RB I but yeah, look at Correa laying out Cubs fans on their feet. The Sean Kiersey Junior hitting here 12 swing and a miss struck him out ball game Cubs win and that’s more like it overpower and performance by the Cubs here today, all phases of the game.

Palencia developing that 80ish mph 2nd pitch makes him lethal with those 102mph fastballs. Dude is a beast.
Nice defense boys. With Sludgefoot in right every hit is a sure double.
The Twins fielders looked tired today. Maybe they were worn out from all the runs they scored the first 2 games.
Cubs desperately need a lead off man. Happ has been struggling for so long😢
If you agree with me tap the like.hoerner and happ should swap places in batting order.hoerner is a contact 300 hitter.happ belongs in the 8th spot.
Bader acted like he had a chance to rob that💀
The Chicago Cubs are 55-38🔵⚪️🔴🐻
Nice to see an old-school deep inning pitching performance by Rea.

The Milwaukee Brewers are Mad Max and the Chicago Cubs are the Night Rider and he's starting to cry because he knows Mad Max is gaining fast and is going to catch him sooner or later for first place!

The White Sox are the Twin's division rival. Feels weird seeing them play the Chicago Scrubs instead of the Sox.

I was at this game and I don’t think I’ve ever been to Target Field where basically everyone was a fan of the other team. And the train to the field was packed to the brim with Chicagoans 😂
PCA deserves MVP over Shohei EASILY as of right now… but we know MLB would still give it to their sweetheart Shohei anyway
That Bader slip 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
