How to Keep the Angle Without Forcing it

  1. You don’t need to create the wrist angle early in the backswing. If you do, it often leads to a rebound effect – meaning the angle releases too early.

The easiest way is to let the angle form naturally at the top of the swing transition. You don’t need to hold it with tension or force – it happens on its own.

The club simply falls into your wrists as your lower body starts shifting left. And as long as you don’t apply any force with your right hand, the angle will stay intact.

So, you’re not holding the angle – you’re just not interfering.

Then, when your hands reach about hip height – around your right thigh – that stored energy releases into the clubface.
