See if can work some magic here at 18. The early advantage to Brian Campbell in the playoff at the John Deere. The lie is going to be just fine. Okay. The one good thing about that is once you can pick a ball up, he had to then drop it as near as possible, right to where you thought it originally lay, he can wipe the ball. So if there was any mud or dirt or whatever on it, at least it’s clean now. The line looks pretty good, Col. Yeah, all this rough is matted down over here from the thousands of people down the right side of the 18th here. Now, does Greo’s mindset change after seeing that shot by Campbell? I mean, I think he’s got to be aggressive after seeing how close he just hit it. 100%. Whether or not it changed, I don’t know what’s in his mind. He might have been feeling aggressive anyway from the break that he got in a good lie with a shot, right? Um, but he certainly has to be now. And I will say the wind is starting to blow a little bit and it is at his back. Well, I hope he gets the wind right this time cuz I think he he didn’t get it right on 15 and 16 which cost him a couple of long putts and one three putt at 15. [Music] 168 yds down wind has pitching wedge. Easy. Oh boy. Long for Greo. That was a flyer. [Applause] And not an easy up and down. That’s a good 20 yd through the green in the rough. Chipping back up the hill. Four would be great from there. Drama builds here at the 18th green after Brian Campbell had an absolute beauty with his second cold. I’m surprised that the wedge went so far there that uh flew 180. Yeah, obviously some adrenaline and the helping wind, but still didn’t think it was going to fly the green by that much. But he’s going to have a difficult third as you said there. You see what will have to navigate and the added pressure of the situation just builds here. Know you’ve got to hit it the shot of your life. And Ian, judging by those practice swings, it looks like he’s going to open the blade up here and throw this one up in the air. Well, saving grace is a little breeze into his face. See the flag flapping there? Absolutely. I like that too, Cole. If you’re a little bit jumpy, it’s nicer to take a fuller swing and and let the club come through there with some pace. As long as you hit your spot, it’s just so much more predictable than trying to bounce it through the fairway. seen some dramatic hole outs on this 18th hole over the years. Could this be another? Jordan Smith comes to mind back in 2013. Reo’s third came out fluffy. Flood went under the ball and uh yeah, he’ll still be away. He’s trying to take a big swing, slide across it with an open face lob wedge. The top part of the face sort of flopped it up a bit high and so easy to do. obviously has to make it and hope that Brian Campbell misses. Ian, just a bad shot at the wrong time. Yeah, it’s uh that’s what happens unfortunately and the and the pressure of the situation. Chance to win just adds to that. But this is definitely holdable from here. Just off the green. He was using putter just off the green at 17 at the par five. Look for some magic here in the first playoff hole. It’s going to move to his right the entire way. 23 ft. Oh, quite cute. [Music] [Music] No, he didn’t hit it solidly. So, the door is wide open for Brian Campbell. Two punts to win. 32year-old from Newport Beach, California. Attended the University of Illinois. It’s his second year on tour. The first one was back in 2016. number of injuries, sidetracked his career, got his card back this year, and now on the verge of his second win of 2025. There was a time during his injury riddled years that he thought about quitting golf and now he’s a two-time winner on the PGA Tour. Congratulations. That was amazing. Brian Campbell in our FedEx Let’s go.
