Welcome to NFL Madness, your go-to YouTube channel for NFL action game highlights, analysis, news, and stories. Subscribe and fuel your football passion. Ask you because this comes up a lot on our show. 20 years since the NFC East has had the the same champion in back-to-back years. Why is your team the team that can break that curse? Uh, you know, I think you look at the roster, we have a a real solid shot. So, you know, we we’ve always been in a competitive division. You know, I think the Giants are surging. The Commanders obviously had a great team last year and uh and Dallas, too. So, yeah, it’s always been competitive and so, uh, yeah, it is very strange and nobody’s repeated. So, you know, hopefully we can change that this year. You know, the hunted, it’s not a bad place to be. It’s very when you’re the Super Bowl champs, everyone is out to get you. You’re going to get everyone’s best shot, everyone’s best effort. You have to be on your game from start and that’s a good thing because you’re prepared from the jump. No, no question. And when you look at it, you’re the you’re going to focus on what you did that you didn’t that made you that player last year. That’s exactly what’s going on. So, you have to understand everybody has circled the Eagles on the calendar. You’re going to get everybody’s best. When you get everybody’s best, you got to have the culture in that locker room to really know that, hey, we are champions. We are the gold standard. This is what we do. And that culture is already set. The expectation is already set. There’s a way they do things here. So rookies coming in, they got to get under that umbrella of that culture. I mean, even veteran players, they probably, you know, stuck in their ways, but they got to understand this is a winning locker room. This is a high expectation uh environment that you got to go out there and really ball at. So when you go into that locker room, understanding that the high expectations are there, you got to do things a certain way, a championship type of way. Yes, you will be the hunted, but you also got to look at it from this aspect. When you step on that field, you are the best team. So, you probably won 50% of those games just because you’re the Eagles. They know the style of play you play. They know that when you get on the field, it’s about that business. So, that’s going to help them. Also, when I played for the Steelers, everybody thought that when we stepped on the field, we’re going to beat you up number one and we’re going to win. That’s what it’s all about, having that culture and creating that culture. They have that here in Philadelphia. Yes. Philadelphia Eagles, the big bads of the division, just allstar team on offense. How do you have the NFC East shaking out? Philadelphia Eagles. Uh I think the Commanders are second, but I think they take a step back. I’m have them around nine wins. Uh Cowboys are on their heels, but seven wins and then Giants maybe get a QB change week seven, eight, nine. Um, I think that’s rounding out the NFC East. Again, NFC East, the same team has not won, has not repeated since 2003. So, my Yeah. Right. The same the same division winner has not repeated since 2003. So, my prediction is going against the odds, but Yeah. No, I mean, it’s it’s stacked. I think it’s a pretty safe bet. Uh, yeah, I’m right there with you on the rankings. Although I’ll say welcome Eagles faithful and football fans alike to a story of grit, glory, and unrelenting dominance. I’m your host and today we’re diving into the Philadelphia Eagles jaw-dropping 2024 season and their terrifying trajectory for 2025. On the 9th of February 2025, the Eagles didn’t just win Super Bowl licks. They obliterated the Kansas City Chiefs 40 to22 in a game that wasn’t a contest, but a coronation. I warned you, didn’t I? These dogs were hungry and they feasted with 10 straight wins this season and a legacy in the making. The birds are no longer chasing. They’re building an empire. Let’s break it down. But this story didn’t start in February. To understand this juggernaut, we need to rewind to a darker time in Philadelphia’s recent history. Cast your mind back to January 2024. The Eagles were a wounded bird, limping out of the playoffs after a humiliating first round loss to Tampa Bay. They’d lost five of their last six games in 2023, finishing with 11 to6 record, but a defense that ranked third worst in the NFL, giving up 30 plus points in five of their final eight games. Nicksriani’s seat was scorching hot and whispers about Jaylen Herd’s passing and leadership grew louder. General manager Howey Roseman faced a makeorb breakak off season. The numbers were grim. 388 Dilapen defensive yards allowed per game. Duh Lima six points conceded on average. Philadelphia was bleeding and the NFL world wondered had the Eagles 2022 Super Bowl run been a fluke. But in crisis lies opportunity. and Roseman was about to rewrite the narrative. From the ashes of 2023, a new defense was forged. Let’s talk about the mastermind and the moves that turned this unit into a nightmare for opponents. Enter Vic Fangio, the defensive maestro with a resume spanning seven NFL franchises and a 2018 assistant coach of the year award with the Chicago Bears hired to replace the sacked Sha Desai. Fangio inherited a defense that was a laughingstock. But he wasn’t alone. Howie Roseman went to work. On day one of free agency, the Eagles signed Saints linebacker Zack Baughn for a modest $4 million. Modest, but monumental. Bon erupted in 2024, leading the team with 151 tackles, 11 for loss, and earning first team allp pro honors alongside Fred Warner and Rocoan Smith. Nico Dean added 80 tackles, though his torn patella tendon in the playoffs casts a shadow over 2025. The secondary transformed draft picks Quinnan Mitchell 22nd overall and Cooper Dejon 40th became top 10 corners per PFF. Both all rookies. CJ Gardner Johnson returned snagging six interceptions and 12 passes defended. The result, a defense that went from 29th to second in scoring, allowing just 17 eight points per game only, two more than the Chargers. This wasn’t a rebuild. It was a revolution. While the defense became a wall, the offense became a sledgehammer. Let’s dive into the firepower that made 2024 historic. If the defense was a revolution, the offense was a supernova. Saquon Barkley, signed in 2024, didn’t just run, he redefined the position, breaking the 2,000yard barrier with a game to spare. Barkley averaged 125 three yards per game, earning offensive player of the year and a record-breaking $412 million extension, making him the NFL’s highest paid running back. The Giants, who let him walk, are still licking their wounds. But Barkley wasn’t alone. A J Brown and Devont Smith despite missing four games each combined for 1,912 yards and 15 touchdowns. The offensive line Landon Dickerson, Jordan Milata, Cam Jurgens, Lane Johnson ranked number one by PFF, giving Jaylen Herz an average of two 8 seconds to throw, third best in the league. Herz himself silenced doubters throwing for 3,852 yards and 24 touchdowns plus 14 rushing scores. After a 2-2 Estart, the Eagles won 12 of their last 13 games, including a 55 to23 NFC Championship route of Washington and that 40 to22 Super Bowl demolition. This offense wasn’t just elated. It was historic. With 2024 in the books, the question isn’t whether the Eagles can repeat, it’s how much better they can get. Let’s look at 2025. The Eagles aren’t just back, they’re better. The offense returns 10 of 11 starters, losing only right guard Mcky Beckton to the Chargers. New tackles Kendall Lamb and Matt Prior, plus draft picks Drew Kendall, Miles Hinton, and Cameron Williams ensure the line remains elite. tight ends Harrison Bryant and Kylin Gransson were added, hedging against Dallas Godard’s potential 2026 exit. The only hiccup, offensive coordinator Kellen Moore’s departure to New Orleans, but Kevin Patulo, promoted from pass game coordinator, knows this unit inside out. On defense, Zack Bond’s $51 million extension, anchors the linebacker core, joined by Aziz Ojelari, 22 career sacks, and Joshua Uch 11. Five sacks in 2022. First round pick Jihad Campbell, a lightning fast linebacker from Alabama, and second round safety Andrew Mukuba, who tied for the SEC lead with five interceptions, add youth and upside. The numbers back it up. ESPN ranks the Eagles skill positions and offensive line number one, and their 2024 defense allowed just 49 yardds per play. Second best in the NFL, Jaylen Herz, now a Super Bowl MVP, has thrown for 8,124 yards over the last two seasons. The NFC East, Washington’s Terry McLaren hold out, and Dallas’s Micah Parson’s contract saga give Philly a head start. The path to Super Bowl LX in Santa Clara runs through Lincoln Financial Field. But can this offense truly evolve? Let’s wrap up with the bold predictions shaking Philadelphia. The Eagles 2024 offense was historic, ranking eighth in yards, 366, two per game, and seventh in points, 26 auto per game. But whispers from Jaylen Herz, AJ Brown, and 975 the Fanatic suggest it can be better. The passing game 30th in 2024 with 198 four yards per game is the key. With Patulo’s expertise and Herz’s growth is 66 9% completion rate in 2024 was a careerhigh. The birds could climb to top five status. Rookie Andrew Mukuba is drawing buzz with Devontto Smith praising his OTAA’s performance. Bleacher reports Brent Subleski says Mukuba could outshine Jaguars Travis Hunter. Then there’s Jordan Davis, whose fifth year option $129 9 million was picked up. Vic Fangio raves about his pass rush potential and Bleeding Green Nation’s Kevin Knight predicts a $51 million extension if Davis shines. The Eagles face Tampa Bay in week four without Tristan Worfs. A massive edge. This team isn’t just a contender, they’re a dynasty in waiting. What do you think, Eagles fans? Can they top 2024? Drop your thoughts below.
