[Music] i think the hardest thing for him is the fact that his audience hit two pretty good shots the last time he’s played this and both have gone over the green yeah rich if Smith gets past getting past the hole I’ll be shocked would you just take the same thing and and chip it a little less that’s what I would do but again you know it’s hard it’s It’s easier to say than to do just because again you got that adrenaline factor and that’s about as smooth a swing as he can make with that pitching wedge it’s more to the center of the green a lovely shot and he says “Finally.” [Applause] Yeah that was that was much better distance control right there [Music] yes there is justice after all well We have seen walk-off aces in playoffs before on the PGA Tour jonathan Bird mhm he’s going with a nine iron [Applause] this is good oh just quite unlucky not to get that hot spring forwards that was a marching on there oldie he’s just happy to have hit the green he’s not left in that tank yet but let’s get back to the fifth playoff hole at the Rocket Classic this one’s going a little bit left initially and then once it kind of gets over this little shoulder and left then it straightens out and kind of works its way back to the left so right initially left late there’s the right and there’s the left i must admit from these sort of ranges I mean these players are hitting some really good putts yeah he’s not he’s not tentative in the least i mean even the spectators up in the grand stands there thought it was in now it’s all down to this man who would have been playing close attention to the last six or eight feet of that putt from Graserman as he should have been this is again this is just a putt that gently moves from right to left as we saw he’s a little bit deeper into the green than Max was so he should know pretty much what this putt’s going to do the entire way now it’s just down to the execution part another opportunity for the win [Music] aldrick pot ger delivers on the promise he’s the main man in Motor City 20 years young the youngest player on the PGA Tour this year a playoff that didn’t go his way in Mexico earlier in the season in this one he takes an embrace from dad all the power right there and all the promise thank you stay right there hi guys what a game at Rocket Classic 2025 it was a fifth playoff that decided the winner of 2025 uh Rocket Classic congratulation to Odri Portter he’s from South Africa the he played against Mark Greaserman it was neck to neck uh when they reached the playoff like it was a threeman playoff chris Carrick Adris Portriger and Max Greaserman uh Chris Krak he got out on the second playoff after that third and fourth it got tie with Greaserman and Port Gator and the fifth playoff decided the winner what a thriller what an interesting uh tournament this was moving from left to right again you know I don’t think that either of them are are overly difficult readwise but I think for pace purposes alone I think Graserman’s got the uh the tougher of the two plex for sure just past 7 o’clock local time here in Detroit and the proceedings not done yet fourth hole of a playoff we started with three chris Kirk who missed his par putt back at the 15th par three is no longer with us ned Michaels and Steve Scott alongside iny mimett up here in the booth rich Beam getting in a few extra steps today down with this group i’ve eaten very well this week i need to get a few extra steps in well this would be for potentially a chicken dinner if Graaserman can knock it in this for Eagle [Music] a valiant effort can’t argue with the effort he’s given the these putts a chance in the distance between the hole and the ball does that change pocketers approach now that maybe you just get it up there and No I don’t think so i think you know you’re hitting this putt to try and win and I think that’s all you can think about you’re not taking on this part to come second that’s for sure you want to give it a good run give it a chance and he’s put some good strokes on it so far just got to marry up all the elements again the great part about this putt is and I think this is when you’re trying to win it’s probably makes it the easiest thing is it’s downhill a little bit it’s not going to be super fast but the speed you kind of like the speed’s almost built into this so you basically just try to figure out you know what’s the line I need to take this at you know it’s going to roll just in just past the hole if it doesn’t go in i mean even late stages like this you’re tired it’s been a long day it’s been hot he’s He still’s got a lot of touch going on a lot of touch and feel in his fingers that’s what Lee Trevino used to say if he had a putt for the win he wanted it to be downhill and so that is what potter has this to win this to win just never took the break shocking oh it’s as good of an effort as he could have asked for he would have bet anything that ball was going to funnel towards the front portion of the green there and ah what an effort still no gimme here for Max Grazerman though this is this is a very nervy putt should we take another look i mean this the whole green almost slopes that way so you would have thought surely look at that with the way he’s pointing his arms how did that not move and Steve Scott you’re absolutely right this is anything but give me this to extend one more playoff hole grazerman rock solid just got up there like it was any day [Applause] [Music]
