and it took a while to work out that me and dad are quite different dad’s very analytical i’m just kind of well if I had a bad shot I had a bad shot who really cares um and we we we had a few arguments here and there um but probably the the greatest thing I took out of dad is um the idea that you know hard work beats talent if talent doesn’t work hard you know he he he would always drill into me if you work hard no matter what happens you can always be satisfied with the result whether you make it or not whether you succeed or not you can always look back with your head held high if you if you don’t work hard and you there’s always going to be a what if I did this differently and you know dad was dad I wouldn’t say drilled it into me but dad you know made sure I understood that concept pretty early um I always wanted to be a sportsman growing up you know rugby and cricket were my two main sports and golf came in there a little bit later but you know I kind of took the same theory or tried to take the same theory the whole way through um I’m going to figure out how I’m going to get to Oakmont
