I don’t care how good or bad you are. You can’t this up. Stop wasting thousands of hours beating balls with no results. Hey there, I’m Dana Darly, PGA TPI certified. I know golf is effing hard. I’m trying to keep it simple for us. All right, let’s dive into this. What I’m going to show you is drill that covers everything. Once again, path, face, takeaway, lag angle, club face control, everything. basically a version of the lead arm drill split, which Rory does. So, we’re going to call it the Rory drill, and I’m going to show you how to do it. All right, let’s get dialed in. So, if you’ve done the lead arm drill and you’ve watched my video, it just works lead arm drill, you’re halfway there. This is the Rory variation. It’s like the red pill in the Matrix. So, here we go. We have it split. It also helps beginners that don’t have the strength to get into that position with one arm. So, now we’re in our golf posture and we’ve got the right hand under and the lead hand gripped correctly because you’ve got to grip it that way. Left arm out there nice and straight. Simply pull back, which also gives you width and turn. Notice how when the lead arm extends down the target line, you automatically have shoulder turn, automatically have wrist hinge, and then coming back down, you automatically keep that lag angle in place and just pull it right down in the slot. This face on view, you’ll see lead arm coming right parallel to the ground here. So, basically, it’s looking just like the lead arm drill. Get into that position. Give yourself nice width and then pull down. Get in that position. Width. Pull down. You can see on this angle the lead arm it’s out. Get in that position. Right down the path line. Pull down. Staying in your golf posture. Okay. So, to sum it up, we’re starting in this position. grip here and just make sure the toe of the club is pointing to the sky as it would be. So, you’re down the path line. So, you’ve got a lot of things covered here. We’ve got path, we’ve got extension, we’ve got width, turn, we’ve also got down the slot, down the path line, holding that lag angle and letting that go through. So now you get the lead arm parallel to the ground. Release the club through. You know, getting our 10,000 reps to build this muscle motor pattern. Two minutes a day, you probably get a hundred of these in. You’ll be dialed in. And because you’re doing it assisted with two hands, you’re not going to fry your arm out too much. So doing it one-handed, lead arm drill takes some strength. But the combination of these two, lead arm drill plus the split Rory drill, you will be dialed in in no time. All right, you know the drill. Like, subscribe, any comments, throw them in there. I’ll be sure to answer them. Online coaching available.
