I actually love going to the club by myself and getting paired up with random people. I've met some of the coolest people that way.
After the 1st encounter I woulda said "nope, fuck off prick."
But this is also why I have 2 friends and getting a divorce.

I played in a 3 some that got paired with a random. The 3 some was me (shitty college golfer), my + handicap friend, and a scratch 14 year old. The random was a guy in his 30s who hadn’t played golf before. The poor guy couldn’t get off the tee and then would get mad when carts would stack behind us and we would ask him to drop with one of us. He ended up leaving and I still don’t know if I’m the asshole.

I’ve never been paired with any real bad randos. Even the guys that take their game too seriously never gave me (18 hdcp) a bad time about mine. Some of my best golf buddies have been randos that I really clicked with. My weekend group is three dudes all 15-20 years older than me that I got paired with once three years ago.
