Check out the best shots of the day from Round 2 of the 2025 Genesis Scottish Open, featuring Rory McIlroy, Xander Schauffele and Ludvig Åberg.
The PGA TOUR heads across the pond for the Genesis Scottish Open. The event, co-sanctioned with the DP World Tour, is set to boast a field consisting of many of the world’s top players including FedExCup and World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler, back in action for the first time since the Travelers Championship. Scheffler will be joined by 2022 champion Xander Schauffele and fellow two-time major champion Collin Morikawa. Recent U.S. Open winner J.J. Spaun is also in the field, meaning all four reigning major champions will tee it up this week. Robert MacIntyre returns to defend his home country’s open, which he won in dramatic fashion in 2024, and is attempting to become the first to go back-to-back in tournament history. Rory McIlroy, a previous winner at the Genesis, will be looking to regain form before The Open is played in his native Northern Ireland the following week.

Go. Oh, go. No, that was a seven. I think it went that we pleading voice when it’s in the air. Excellent clar for the day. Four under overall. Beauty was watching it. And Hoblin’s standing there thinking, I’ve seen this film. They’re both hauling our miss. Come on, Victor. Three up. Rory flag on the right by the wall. Yeah. [Applause] He’s got another one. What a start from Rory Maroy. Three birdies in the first five holes. Maroy to five under. Wonderful shot from Ship with a nice little left to right fade. There you go. How brilliant isn’t it from Rory Macko? What a start this has been. Birdie power. Bernie power. Birdie Birdie. Magnificent stuff from the Grand Slammer. Pin six from the left. Quite like hard hits to left hand pins. Say the Xander by the looks of it. He’s played that extremely well. Could easily have missed that slope. No problem at all. First 30 of the home night for Rory Mack. Well, he advances to eight under. Excellent. He’s just too clever, isn’t he? Bingo. Oh, he didn’t. He bumped it into the bank. Look at this shot. Is this greatness or what? Home the trophy. Great putts. Trying to find it with the putter. Left to right. Breaker with pace. Yeah, give it to him. Keep that flag stick in. Slam it down. Move Vic. And John, this is downwind off a down slope to an elevated green. He’s got to pitch this at least 20 short of the flag. It’s going to release for sure. And left of the hole. Everything feeds off the left side of the green. Yeah, nice shot. Kind of about like that. Look at this shot, Tony. Sensational. Wonderful birdie there at the last his ninth hole. One to go for Pench. Well, you won’t see him any better than that. That is a glorious shot [Applause] in between flag and TV towers. The line left is not. Oh, he’s got away with one there. He has got away with one there. Yeah, it’s an awkward flag. This is on the left. Hard one to read. Coover did it. Can Oberg follow him? Disappears down into the cup for Oberg. green from that location. Fifth T drivable today par four and Connor serves gone. This is a very good line. There’s a little gathering hollow. Is it going to make it? Is it? Oh, matron. Is it? It is. Yes. Couldn’t. Could it? You couldn’t. Oh, how did it stay out? What a shot. And what an adventure for that ball. Just small little work there for his eagle, too. Oh. Oh, yes. Oh. Oh, that is special. Step. Yeah, still good scores out there. Straer trying to build on what was a superb first round. Doing the usual thing. Lots of greens in regulation. Bit of creativity in there too as many have found on that short four. marches on the set straer. It’s kind of right to left and then it goes over the top of another little mound. So, it’s up and down day all this. It’s pretty fast. Up now and down now. He was due. He might have struggled from short range, but Rakes a long one in to get the show back on the road. That’s better from Sheffler. I’ve got a feeling that Lori Ker would used a little bit as guinea pig on this par three [Applause] straight one and Julie made well and struck a few crooked putts in the last few holes. That’s better. Well, I never That could be one of the most fortuitous things I’ve seen in a long time. To the right fringe of the green. It kicks nicely to the left. And he’s staring this one down. Oh, that must have looked so good for so long. Painting. Well, you got a great visual of the line and holds on to it. Kubra Oberg. John Morgan mentioned maybe a team budding between them. And another one. He is a red hot just throwing flamethrowers at the cups right now. You know, you want to carry you want to take the aggressive line down the left, but still got to hit it good. Carry that first little one. That’s absolutely perfect from Straa. Now strucker, is he going to try to fly it all the way there or run it up? He’s trying to run it up. How good is that? How good is that from the Austrian? What a player. Got the perfect first bounce. He just kissed it a little to the right and he could use the slope on the greens. Eagle. Oh, and then it goes. Patience paid off for the Austrian. Get the feeling. Get the feeling, John. He’ll split the difference. This one a bit firm and needs to settle a bit. Good putt, though. Yeah, this is dead center. Straight up the hill. So, all of a sudden, he’s at nine under. And this is what we talked about. Thanks for watching the PJ Tour on YouTube. For more, click here. And to subscribe, click here.

gotta love knowing rory sinks the putt before watching him hit the tee shot
Rori debe agarrar el ritmo, si lo hace, no perderá!!
Love the coverage but come on, no Gotterup shots? He shot 9 under today
Silly me. I clicked on this link thinking we'd see highlights of the guy who's, y'know…. LEADING THIS TOURNAMENT. What was I thinking????
Not a single highlight from the leader that shot a 61 today? PGA is a Joke. It's just a popularity contest for coverage.
So someone shoots a course record 61 & we don't see one shot of his !!!
Sooooo….the guy who shot a 61 doesn't rate a single highlight?
So you mean to tell me that the guy who shoots the course record did not have even one of the best shots of the day??? How about some truth in advertising? What ever happened to that notion?? These are only highlights of a couple of feature groups.
The pros really go deep under par on these chip and putt courses. Put them on Oakmont, and it's a totally different story.
Whats with these videos never having the leaders clips if they aren’t a mainstream popular player???
Golf is really about capitalizing when your putter is on Fire😅
Thank god we got to see every single shot aberg hit and not a single from the leader … who makes these highlights you’d think they’d be better by now
Sky had these on all day but the players who shoots 61 and Fitz not on all day!
PGA tour deserves the hate
They have the worst highlight reels
Another double bogey for PGA tour highlights. When someone has a hot round. You send a crew. But not one single video of a course record. We grow weary of seeing a few pre selected players.
These guys are something else. I missed the coverage today, but hey, let's just say I'm definitely watching over this weekend! Thanks for the great catch up…. can't wait for next weekend!
What is up with these graphics shifting from blue to white/pink/gold? Did you you just use someone else's footage out something??
This is very DP world tour highlight style… You could have titled this video big names highlight instead of “Round 2.”
I had to go look for the leaders highlights, his name is GOTTERUP.
Did Gotterup just hand in a card without playing 🤔
It is nice to see Rory in the lead!
I've said it before and I'll say it again. PGA Tour has the WORST highlights. 5 minutes in and no shots from the leaders. Terrible. This feels like someone let their grandpa edit and upload for the first time.
Not a single highlight from Fitzpatrick, Hall but worst of all not featuring Gotterup is criminal! The editor needs sacking fr now, never in chronological order and now not showing a course record score🤦🏻♂️
Where are Chris's shots? He just shot the course record
this youtube channel has to be satire at this point. i’m totally convinced. there’s no way you can unintentionally be this awful at formatting videos and leaving out key players/performances so consistently. unbelievable
Rory and Xander basically in match play for the first two rounds is a great warmup for Portrush.
pga 🤡 = boyz club ONLY highlights ☢️🤮💩👎🤬
I hate to be a complainer, but these highlights are pretty weak. The first three minutes was basically just Rory. That's unacceptable. The people that are into golf enough to come here want to see all the good shots from everyone. I know it's hard with a nig field, but certainly we didnt need 3/10 minutes of just Rory.
Not one highlight for Chris Gotterup who just shot one of the lowest rounds ever at The Renaissance Club….. That’s just sad…
Goodshot
Terrible coverage of the leaders, shame on you PGA
Why are we seeing so much Straka and so little Knapp and Cotterup? Matty Fitzpatrick can feel a bit aggrieved as well.
God I miss Peter Alliss. These commentators add literally nothing. Watching it with the sound off actually improves the experience.
Looks up at leaderboard few minutes in – guy shoots a 61 and is leading and didn't show a single shot. Terrible
It's the underdog report, who won is not important eh?
