In his fifth round as a professional, Caden Fioroni carded the first albatross of his career on the final hole of his first round to set a new course record of 10-under 60 at Golf Château-Bromont during the Bromont Open presented by Desjardins on PGA TOUR Americas.

I get that excited when I have a GIR. Good for Fioroni, though, hell of a shot.
Wow that was one hell of a shot and divot lol
Looks like he hit some sort of wedge, for an albatross?
Love the dude with his arms up in the background at 00:13 lol
Eagle maybe?
A-grade divot!
crazy how long his backswing is compared to mine..
Albatross to set a course record? That’s gotta be like a top 3 accomplishment in golf.
Lol what kind of course is this where you are hitting a wedge as your 2nd shot on a par 5?? Unless he drove it 450+ off the tee…
Golf celebrations are sometimes the most awkward uncoordinated interactions ever but that was one of the cleanest ones. Club in the sheath, smooth high five, salute and point at the camera, bro hug at the end.
Not to mention capping off an unreal shot/round
What makes this a walk off? Isn’t every shot a walk off if this is the criteria?
Love the pause. Sweet swing.
Don’t worry about the divot then you knob
is someone going to pick up the divot?
Can’t believe people are being dicks about the divot. Remember that first big hole out? Like fuck did you care about the divot
I played there on monday for a pro-am. The opening shot for this hole plays downhill and it’s easy to get a huge rollout. For context, the pro I was paired with hit a ~350 drive with headwind so I could see how a pro might end up with a short iron for his approach shot.
So incredibly lucky to be in a position to even see it, the two guys I know that got one spent time looking and finally checked the hole.
Bang
>PGA TOUR Americas
Had to look this up, its a feeder into the Korn Ferry Tour (up to 15 exemptions) that is made up of the old PGA Latinoamerica and PGA Canada. Plays the first half the season in Latinoamerica and the second half in between USA/Canada. Those 15 also get auto invites to the final stage of Q school, so potentially can get their PGA Tour card immediately following the season.
I don’t know whose decision it was to start using extreme depth-of-field techniques in sports broadcasting, but this absolute mess of a video is what you get for trying so hard to keep this horrible look while using autofocus cameras, but it’s not what we deserve. Save the crazy bokeh styling for still shots and quit with this ridiculous push for the extreme end of depth of field for live broadcasts. Would’ve been cool to actually see his reaction and not a ghost’s interpretation of what he looked like.
One of the great things about golf is that we can all experience a moment just like this, albeit for a different score.
I have definitely been this excited when I bogeyed a hole that was an absolute disaster otherwise. Was pretty stoked when I plunked in an approach shot for eagle.
But it sure must be nice to score this low….I’m not sure I would be as “calm” as this gent is. Pretty incredible stuff.
Gotta admit, I’m pissed as hell post KFC late night snack and seeing it on 999 upvotes and pushing it to 1.0k made my night. Golf well this weekend lads.
What a great swing.
“WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE!! I AM!!”
How much luck is involved with shots like that? Or is it all skill?
