moment of truth has arrived for the young prospect the flamethrowing phenom Jacob Miserowski and he jogs to the American Family Field Mound for the first time however he fares here today he figures to be a guy that’s going to be in the rotation and in for the long haul and he’s got a lot of friends and family here watching him today his parents Tom and Crystal he is from Missouri as Sophia mentioned and they have made the trip and you can tell they are agonizing seeing their boy on a big league mound it is excruciating for the parents and the families jacob is a pretty calm collected guy Vinnie and his numbers at AAA Nashville jump off the page and his very first pitch in the big leagues is a strike and away we go his first bullet at 100 m an hour okay welcome to the show what an electric arm he has posted the fastest fast ball in baseball earlier this year at 103 plus miles an hour the one two and Nbar on the ground right to the gold glover terraang and that’s a way to start a big league career right there he’s got his first out he is in the book look at Mama Bear she’s up there just fighting every ounce of nerves and the one two on the ground and Merowski covers the bag handles his business in the first jacob Mzarowski as good of a start as you could hope for to his major league debut a clean first inning and he gets his first big league strikeout it is Wilson Contrarus i’m sure Misarowski’s battery made love that as the brother goes down in the first K they save the baseball mizarowski family all watching closely did he go i think he did yes he did it’s a strikeout and it ends the inning uh always always want to stay nimble and and if there’s an opportunity to make the team better we’ve had great support from Mark over the years jacob Mizerowski back on the mount oh wow oh my goodness he breaks out the change up statcast has it as a sinker that is most definitely his change of pace and it is a dandy and he got him merowski his best inning yet after he walked two in the fourth stranded two he comes back with a nine pitch inning

  1. lol when he blows his arm out very soon with all this trying to throw the ball through the catchers mitt nonsense we’ll see

  2. What a treat to be at the game last night. We didn’t know what we were in for when we planned it at the start of the season. And for once my Brewers beat my dear sweet wife’s Cardinals at a game we go to!

  3. It can't be bargained with. It can't be reasoned with. It doesn't feel pity, or remorse, or fear. And it absolutely will not stop…

  4. Not only is he throwing fast, he also gets 7.5 feet off the mound. Only behind Glasnow for the longest average release point off the mound

  5. Man thats heat, gotta make good contract when the brewers can because the league is in need of good pitchers and young, those dodgers already piking😂

  6. Basically when you have made it to the Big league aka Big A, it’s an accomplishment in itself. Only 300 men can say that. And then to perform like that is just cherry on top of

  7. Don't worry in 3 years the Brewers will trade him because our owner won't have the money to pay him. Every Milwaukee fan will buy a 33 jersey then he'll be traded. Thanks Mark!!

  8. They adjusted where they take the MPH from so that now 20% throw above 97. Arms haven’t gotten better, it’s technology.

  9. Your damn Brew Crew swept my Phils last week. That being said, great to see the youngster debut like that! Congrats kid!!!

  10. I see pesimists mentioning Tommy John Surgery. And yea yea etc. If you watch Randy Johnson who was 4 inches taller. Randy had the effortless delivery with a rubber arm. Ditto wth the Miz. Where it looks like hes playing catch in the backyard.

Whats going to help him is how natural is it for him to throw the breaking ball pitches with the velo being around 90mph. It helps Miz, its different when its a multi year ver that adds several ticks on the radar gun by adjustments to the throwing mechanics.

At the end of the day. Pedros another hard one to swallow being a HOF and Miz just debuting. With Pedro, Randy, Miz having effortless or mechanics they always threw with it

  11. As a Brewer fan, he’ll be gone as soon as his contract expires. Dodgers or Yankees is my guess.
Always nice that we can be a farm club for deep pocket teams.

  12. First 100 was a fb not a sinker. The first K was a cutter by the spin. Whoever puts the pitch name up is clueless

  13. If the MLB genuinely cared about players and their health, they’d have this kid get an MRI every week so we all can collectively learn about the development of pitching injuries. No shade intended — that would genuinely benefit everyone. Good luck to the kid and his tendons
