hey guys welcome back to Modern Golf Hope you’re having a great day and even better week This is the number one shoe on tour the Premiere the Fjoy Premiere This happens to be the Packard LX in their limited edition colorways Is this really the best shoe you can get especially on tour let’s talk about it next So this has been Fjoyy’s premier flagship shoe for as long as I can remember Uh for those of us who are old enough Fjoy had uh more of a traditional look back in the day They’ve kind of gone to I think a better looking models these days This particular one um is very difficult to find I had to track this one down This is a shoe with white and kind of a light tan and a little more conac color And these are navy laces They do come with white laces for those who are freaking out saying that’s not the right shoe Has a hint of navy Let’s get into the shoe and talk about the comfortability durability stability a lot of illies um and really is this shoe the best shoe you can get in golf in 2025 So first thing we always want to talk about is sizing right how do these run sizing wise in comparison to other FJoys or your traditional golf shoe so if you are coming from a Nike or Adidas world you would probably have to size down half a size I am a nine traditional dress shoe 9 and a half in athletic shoes I get FootJoys and nine It fits flawlessly There is I want to say a little bit of concern for me when I wear this kind of shoe because I have a high arch and a high instep and I get what they used to call turf toe Not to bore with my podiatry nightmares back in the day when I was in college and played sports I would get something called turf toe and it felt like your big toe was getting crushed Long story short so certain shoes don’t work well So I’ve kind of shied away from these to be honest with you for a number of years I’m happy to tell you these have been incredible So go true to size People ask me do they run wide or narrow it just runs kind of very traditional for FootJoy I think this is on the Laser Street or Laser Plus I’ll put the information up last Uh so if you’re familiar with that it runs true to size for me I had no issues Uh and when I say I have a narrowish foot it’s not narrow It’s you know I’d say a C to D width but they ran fine I didn’t have any issues with the width I know they make these I believe in narrow and also in wide So if you have a narrow really narrow foot or a wide foot uh those are some options for you Let’s talk first outside of sizing is comfortability because I was a little I’m not going to lie I was a little apprehensive and nervous about wearing these this year I’ve worn these a number of times There’s probably still grass when I flip these over so I’m a little embarrassed but I got them as clean as I possibly can without spending two hours scrubbing these out Comfortability has been I think the biggest surprising factor for me with these And Foot Joy promotes these shoes are the best on tour They’re the best on tour Uh more people wear these shoes anybody else And I get it but I also don’t know who’s being contracted for to wear certain shoes or whatnot I got to tell you I’ve been very very surprised Uh I’ve played I think four times in these I walked yesterday and got soaked in the rain Um and these have done really well So let’s talk about the aesthetic uh stability all the other stuff So if I if I put this shoe up it has that kind of bison uh not bison bison look that kind of shrunken calf skin which I think is stunning Uh they have it in blue and white or white and blue I should say and a number of other colors Uh for some reason this tan seems to be the hardest one Has this beautiful caramel sole And if you can’t see it I’ll put it this way Kind of that off color stitching which makes this shoe just an absolute stunner I put the blue laces and I’ll be very honest with you I wear a lot of blue and grays and so I wanted a shoe that was a little different than my all the shoes I wear but had a little hint of blue so it kind of tied my outfit together not to worry with all those details Um but really really like this shoe If we go around this shoe it’s very clean Uh you’ll see just the tiniest little Fjoy logo here Again we talked about the striping and the blue in there Uh the heel counter and all that good stuff Very It’s not super padded in here And and I that’s one of the concerns I had Had no issues Again I walked yesterday which is I don’t know taking my life in my own hands and had no um uncomfortable spots or hot spots or or really anything And I was really surprised on that with these Um I’ve walked in other shoes this year I have not walked until yesterday with these They’ve done incredibly well So if I turn this guy around I’ll skip around here A very clean looking shoe One of the reasons See now you can see the grass Um I’ll cover it up Um one of the reasons I like this shoe is the the traction is off the chart good I played yesterday in rain Um and we all know what it’s like when you’re crossing bridges and it’s soaking wet I love that there’s two different kinds of of tracking and spikes here You have the hard spikes here as well as the soft rubbery And if you really get into the compound you can see there’s different colors and that’s the different kind of density of the rubber Uh if you watched our review from the PGA show they kind of discussed this why they do different rubbers but this shoe is a home run So I get why people on tour really like this shoe Stability And every once in a while I forget to mention it because I again I don’t swing 140 mph My swing speeds maybe around 100 with my driver So I’m not uh uh a monster with swinging Stability was fantastic with these Um I had no not one time did I think I was going to roll or move out So stability to me was really really good Again comfort was really good Durability we will see as time goes But I would imagine with everything else with FootJoy it holds up really well They have one of if not the best warranties uh in in golf shoes I think it’s still a 2-year and maybe it says on the box here I mean there’s I’ll put the warranty up It’s a waterproof warranty Um but I’ve had zero issues with these and really pleasantly surprised Again I have a lot of Fjoy shoes I tend to wear my Hyperflex and my Quantum I have a love affair with that Quantum shoe Um but was really surprised and after wearing these a number of times I understand why this is the number one shoe on tour and this particular model It’s really comfortable The durability is great and the stability is really good as well So anyway guys if you have any questions on this again this is the Packard LX This is one of the limited I don’t say limited I don’t know how long they’re doing these colorways for Um but love the aesthetics Uh the comfortability is just as good we will be doing down the road are kind of I don’t say good better best for diff different scenarios with FJ joy shoes So stay tuned to that But if you have any uh trepidation with getting these don’t uh I think they’re 245 everywhere Um and again some great great colorways Listen I’ve been a fan of Fjoy for a long time I’ve really been impressed in the last couple years of what they’ve done with their products Uh they’re not sitting on laurels from 20 years ago It is a competitive market out there with brands coming every which way for these guys I think Fjoy continues to step up their game and I think when you see even the next iterations of these I think people are going to be really surprised I think Fjoy has done a great job These are fantastic If you’re looking for a conservative but kind of very cool Um someone told me yesterday they look like pimp golf shoes So take that Um really enjoy these I like that they come with two different color laces I think they’re very cool looking shoes And again if you have any questions on sizing or fitting or anything again hit
