It’s set to be a summertime sprint for the game’s best on the PGA TOUR as the John Deere Classic returns for another year. Rickie Fowler is back at TPC Deere Run for the first time in 15 years. This year, Fowler is looking to earn valuable FedExCup Points as he sits No. 72 in the standings, but has three top-20 finishes in his last six weeks. Two-time 2025 winner Ben Griffin is set to tee it up after a T5 in his debut at TPC Deere Run last season. Griffin also finished runner-up at the Memorial Tournament, and is playing some of the best golf of his career. Joining these two are Jason Day, Tom Kim and Max Homa among others looking to secure a win five weeks away from the FedExCup Playoffs.

Up to two. Campbell coming in nice and low. Should chase out on him. Well, you can just see the softness of the greens right there. A fairway metal coming in that low. Should have should have had a little bit more release, but camel on the second green for the outright lead. Going to turn hard right to left here at the end. skirts by on the right, but Elvich share at 15. Good work by Brian Campbell, the co-leader, to 10. Opens the door for Campbell, his third at 10. Go a little left. Use the slope if you want to. Just under 120 yds. He went right at it. Little bit more rain we’ve had over the last hour to 10. Trying to get to 17 underwrited [Applause] since flight cut just four from the left. Oh, straight at it again. Caught it right in the center. In the center of the hole, too. [Applause] His go-to shot is a little lower, too. And that is as ordered. Distance pretty good. Just tough to fly much further than that. Another one. You don’t want to go long. Oh, great pot. It’s coming at a good time, too. 14 is reachable to the right to avoid the bunker down the left. 285 carries. Oh, you can’t miss left here. Oh, I know. Is he going to get a break? Okay, job done. All right, just short of that bunker. Try to get up. Swing out of your shoes. Just take it a little bit conservative. And as I said, way down almost to the shaft of the club there, as Mark said. That just grabbed that little bit quicker than he thought. [Applause] Had only two bogeies all week. Double bogey here at 15. First blemish on a scorecard since the seventh hole yesterday. Brian Campbell on the tea at 17. Needs to turn that ball over right to left. Little wind assist and that is splitting the fairway. Much improved over the 15th. Will he have enough to reach in two? He can still get it done as we go to 17. Brian Campbell shot away. And that is with Threewood after a lot of deliberation. Flies it onto the putting surface. What a shot. Does it hold its line? Actually went back to the right at the very end. Let’s see just how good it did look. Can’t nitpick that. Campbell for the lead has it. [Music] Brian Campbell in the fairway off the tea at 18. It’s at the TV window. Well, perfect distance, but about 30 feet left for birdie. Birdie put on the way for Campbell [Applause] and he will tap that in to take over the clubhouse lead at 18 under par. Was a good effort. The double bogey at 15. Poor T-shot when he was trying to hit a low draw to get some distance. and Brian Campbell trying to win for the second time this year. The first one came in a playoff as we showed you against Aldrich Pocket in Mexico. He’ll take on Ameiliano Gilo who gets a good kick. Tell you what, that’s super impressive that he sat in that clubhouse, did not hit a ball, just went back out to 18 and put it right in the middle of the fairway. Yeah, here I was saying he should go hit some balls. He’s not hanging around. Give me back my Oh, wow. This could be good. Is it far enough? Sensational. What a shot by Campbell. Big shot there for Campbell just at the right time from a poor life. That’ll be good enough. [Applause] Brian Campbell wins the John Deere Classic in dramatic fashion for Ameliano Greo. Two playoffs this year, two wins for Brian Campbell. Brian Campbell in our FedEx Cup standings. Move all moves all the way up to 28th. One in Mexico in a playoff and he wins in the Quad Cities in a playoff and he’s with Amanda Balionis. Brian, 10 years ago to the day you made your professional PGA Tour debut right here at the John Deere Classic. Explain this full circle moment and how meaningful it is right now. It’s surreal. I don’t know what’s going on. Um, but yeah, it all started here as an amateur. My first uh invite here and I’ve loved it ever since. And I have no words. I mean, to be let alone in a playoff and to finish it off this way has just been amazing. So, let’s talk about this playoff. We were all wondering why you weren’t going out to hit some balls before the playoff. Clearly, the mindset paid off. So, take us into the decision- making as you sat for 40 minutes. Yeah, I mean it’s it’s grueling out here. We’re sweating, you know, it’s just hot and I think we really needed to take a break, get some water rather than go out and beat balls and putt for, you know, how who knows how many minutes. So, it was really just a team effort to let’s get some rest and uh get mentally ready. So, well played on that first playoff hole. You know how hard it is to win out here, but you also know how hard it is to stay out here. It took you seven years to get back to the PGA Tour after losing it after your rookie year. What’s the advice you would give your younger self as you grinded it out as now a multiple time winner out here? Oh man. Uh the advice I would give is just you really got to dig deep and trust yourself. It’s easier said than done, but what what worked for me a lot was trusting a lot of the things I used to do when I was a kid. you know, getting back to enjoying the game, loving the game for what it is, and and just having fun with it. Well, have fun with this one. Congratulations. Thank you so much, Andrew. Thanks for watching the PJ Tour on YouTube. For more videos, click here. To subscribe, click
