Donald Trump passed his physical with flying colors back in April but has left many unconvinced by his new recorded weight
Donald Trump’s latest physical results suggest that he weighs less than some of the best athletes in the world after exhibiting “excellent cognitive and physical health”.
The U.S. President underwent the first physical of his second term in April and seemingly passed with flying colors after being praised for his “frequent victories in golf events” and active lifestyle in results released by the White House. He is also said to have registered a perfect score on every cognitive test he completed.
The main takeaway from the findings, however, was Trump’s weight. After being put through “every test you can imagine”, the then-78-year-old came in at 224 pounds when stepping on the scales. At a height of 6-feet and 3-inches tall, this places him at a body mass index score of 28 – yet many were left unconvinced.

While the figures ultimately record Trump as “overweight”, Americans believed the test results appeared a little too good for the veteran politician, with social media users quickly comparing pictures of him to athletes of similar height and weight.
That included Philadelphia Eagles star and Super Bowl winner A.J. Brown, who comes in at a height of 6-foot-1 and weighs 227lbs. After seeing images of the pair side-by-side, many could only laugh at the thought of the two being compared.
Some people did point out that Brown and Trump could indeed be more similar than first thought due to the effects Brown’s muscles will have on his overall weight, but even then it was hard to pull the wool over some people’s eyes.

In comparison to other athletes, Trump’s listed weight of 224lbs puts him down as being lighter than Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, who comes in at 225lbs, and 6-foot-9 NBA sensation LeBron James, who is said to weigh 250lbs.
One athlete who Trump is definitely heavier than is golf icon Tiger Woods, who weighs a lot less than the president at 185lbs. Being a golfer, however, Woods doesn’t need to pack on muscle to enhance his game, and so this one certainly makes sense.
But with regards to Mahomes, James, and even Brown, many sports fans just can’t fathom how they all weigh more than Trump, a man previously fat shamed by former president Joe Biden and renowned for a long-standing relationship with fast food giant McDonald’s.
Trump, however, has long been accused of lying about his weight. In 2018, he was called out by Dr Harold Bornstein for “dictating a whole letter” released by his campaign that stated he was in “extraordinary health”.

“I didn’t write that letter,” Bornstein told CNN. “I just made it up as I went along. [Trump] dictated the letter and I would tell him what he couldn’t put in there.”
NFL star Mahomes has actually been the subject of a fiery tirade from Kansas City radio host Kevin Kietzman, who called him “fat” and “an embarrassment” after photos surfaced of the three-time Super Bowl champ flaunting a “dad bod” at Fourth of July festivities.
Back in February, Mahomes had spoken about his commitment to getting in better shape, having attributed his sturdier build to increased endurance and throwing power.
